Condemned 2 delayed...

I hate it SO much when a game which I've been looking forward to gets delayed. Now Condemned 2 has been delayed again! First it was scheduled for March 14th, then March 28th and now I've had an e-mail from game telling me it's going to come out on the 4th April! Aghhh! Haha.

Nevermind though, I guess it'll give me more time to finish Lost Odyssey and Resistance: Fall Of Man (when I get round to starting to play that...). I don't think Lost Odyssey will take me until then to finish - I've been putting quite a few hours into it a day. I've just completed The Sorceress' Mansion on Disk 2 and I think my party is level 26... or level 27... I can't remember. Haha. I'm really enjoying it though. I won't get a chance to play it tonight though - I've got to go to my Girlfriend's house.
=( Haha. Saying that I don't think I'll get to play it much over the weekend either - she's claimed that too. =( Haha. No, no, I'm glad to see her really, it's just that games > her. =) JOKING, JOKING (in case she reads this...).

Lost Odyssey thoughts...

About time really. Since having Lost Odyssey I haven't posted on here at all saying my thoughts on it despite all the eagerness I've had for the game over the last few weeks. Well the game has lived up to the expectations I had of it! The graphics are great, battle system fun and story interesting - it's got everything a RPG needs! I must admit I'm quite fond of the character Jansen too - he's a great comical character, even if he is crude. I guess that's what makes him so funny.

Lost Odyssey - An encounter with one of the game's bosses

I've put roughly 11 hours into the game now and am on Disk 2. I haven't played Final Fantasy XI much since I've had Lost Odyssey, but I hope to get back into it soon. I'd hoped to put an hour into it a night, but I've been glued on Lost Odyssey. Ah well!

So Army Of Two and Bully: Scholarship Edition are out this week. I really want them both but at the moment can't afford to buy one of them - let alone the two! I'll eventually pick them both up though when I've got a bit more cash and I've got Lost Odyssey, Final Fantasy XI and Resistance: Fall Of Man to keep me busy until then AND Condemned 2 which I've pre-ordered (it's due out 28th March, I think?). I guess they might be left until next month to buy, but with all the new good games coming out it's hard to get round to it. Aghhh!! Haha.

So there's my update for today - I'll probably update next on Friday hopefully. Oh, I've changed my About Me picture to of one of me and my Girlfriend (to her request... haha). I'm pretty drunk in the picture, which is lovely. =)

Waaaaaay...

Lost Odyssey challenge completed!!
Tuesday night I finished Clive Barker's Jericho. I would've done it on Friday, except I decided to start playing Final Fantasy XI again which I forgot is horribly addictive. My level 6 warrior is KICK A**!!! Haha. I bought the expansion Wings Of The Goddess so I've got the complete game now, except I don't think I'll be seeing any expansion content for awhiiiiile with how long it takes to level up in that game. Nevermind though, I'll stick to it and get there in the end. I'm on the Siren server so if anyone happens to read this that plays on that server send me a message - my character name is Dazza.

Final Fantasy XI: Wings Of The Goddess

Anyway, back to Clive Barker's Jericho. Overall I enjoyed the game. It was quite short and the last boss and ending were some of the worst I've witnessed in any game but it was a fun game to play throughout with some good set pieces. I think some of the reviews haven't given the game justice, but that's just my opinion. I'd recommend it to horror FPS fans but only if you see it at a cheap price.

So yeah, I completed my challenge!! Although I think only Mortz_88 has been reading about it... but that doesn't matter! It's given me something to write about!! Haha.

Now I've got Lost Odyssey to start playing (well, I'm hoping Game sent it early anyway, I'll find out when I get home) along with a bit of Final Fantasy XI during it. I'll post my thought's on Lost Odyssey here within the next few days - until then, adios people.

Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter COMPLETE!

One half of my Lost Odyssey Challenge has been completed!

Despite the fact I was mainly going to focus on Clive Barker's Jericho at first I got stuck into Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter on Sunday night and ended up completing it after a few hours gameplay. It wasn't a long game - I finished it in just over 6 hours - but it was fun, despite some very frustrating moments. The multiplayer aspects of the game are quite fun too - Mortz_88 and I have played some team deathmatches and DESTROYEEEED our opponents (ok, maybe not quite destroyed, but you get the point).

Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter - A shot of the stunning environments in the game

I'm contemplating picking up the sequel in the near-future, if I see it at a cheap enough price. It's a very enjoyable game and quite a pleasant suprise. Expect a mini-review in the next week or so.

Progress Update - Clive Barker's Jericho

I only put an hour or so into Clive Barker's Jericho over the weekend, despite prioritising it as the main game I'd be playing (so much for that). I think I'm not far from completing it though. I'm on the Roman levels now and I just encountered that fat bald geezer. He's quite erotic (seriously). My opinion on this game has bettered too - I've been enjoying it. I like the variety of characters to use, although originally I was just focusing on using Black and her exploding sniper bullets. I now find myself switching between nearly all the characters with the exception of Cole and Rawlings who I find quite boring to use.
The games not as creepy as I hoped it would be either. Sure, the enemies look quite freaky but theres no real 'jump out of your seat' moments in the game which is a shame. I think it focuses on the action more than that aspect though.

Clive Barker's Jericho - One of the BIG enemies you encounter during the Roman period

I think I'll probably complete the game tonight. Like I've said previously I've heard it's not a very long game and I think theres only one more time period to complete after I've finished the Roman period.

Well I'm halfway through completing my Lost Odyssey Challenge. I think maybe my goal was abit too easy - I expected to finish Clive Barker's Jericho by tonight, but not both games. I don't think I'll start playing another single player campaign focused game just yet though, what with Lost Odyssey coming in just a few days. I'll probably be playing some multi-player games on live - PWNING MORTZ_88!!!! Haha... only joking... WE'LL PWN YOO!!!11!!11!!!!

The Lost Odyssey Challenge!!

So I've finally decided to make some use out of my Gamespot account and start a blog to express my thoughts/opinions/whatever on whats happening in gaming. It's took me awhile to actually get round to writing something but now that I've started I hope to update every few days or so giving my thoughts on recent news/releases in gaming, talk about new games I've bought or am playing and that general stuff.
My collection is on show on my profile so you can see what I've got, so from now on whenever I update that I'll post it here and so on, so forth.

So Lost Odyssey is arriving in the UK February 29th. I've got my copy pre-ordered - been looking forward to that game for a long time. So I've gave myself a bit of a challenge: I'm trying to complete Clive Barker's Jericho and Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter before I get it. I've got 8 days left to do it - I think it's possible!! Just got to juggle playing games between working full-time and seeing my girlfriend... I think it's possible. I'll keep you updated on that here.

The Lost Odyssey Challenge!!
Completing Clive Barker's Jericho and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter before 29th February

Clive Barker's Jericho

I bought this game for cheap in my local Blockbusters. I'd played the demo and found it quite enjoyable so I'd meant to pick it up before - just never got round to it. It's a decent game. I mean it isn't spectacular - it doesn't do anything special, but it doesn't do anything wrong. I'm playing through it in hard mode for a bit of a challenge (ok, ok... and the achievements). I've got to the World War II section, just beaten that freaky woman boss thing. I haven't put alot of time into it yet, but I'm quite enjoying it. It's the game I'm going to focus on the most out of the two and I heard it's not long so I'm hoping to finish it by Monday. Maybe!

Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter

This game REALLY suprised me. I'd played the older Ghost Recon games and just wasn't that impressed. I gave it the benefit of the doubt though and I'm really enjoying this game. I'd not found it too difficult up until the mission I'm on... I think its called 'Mayday! Mayday!'? Anyway, it's a night mission and it's just you - no team. I've got to the final part of the mission but my health is on red and there's enemies aplenty to hurt me. I've tried it over and over but keep dying. I've learned the positions of most of the enemies though, and I think a few more attempts and I'll be able to do it. It's f*****g frustrating though!!! Haha. A good game though. I've had a bash at the multi-player aspect of the game too and that's really fun aswell. Maybe later this year when I've got nothing to play I might pick up the sequel - who knows?

And thats it! The Lost Odyssey challenge! I think it's possible... probably. I'll keep you updated on that.
I've also bought Resistance: Fall Of Man on the Playstation3. I haven't started playing it yet and I don't think I will until I've finished these two. I don't want to add another game to my list of games to complete before Lost Odyssey. I'll probably play it as I'm playing Lost Odyssey when I fancy something more action-packed. It's supposed to be a longgg game so I'll need a break from it now and then.
That's all for now anyway, you might see an update from me tommorow on how these games are going.
Adios, people!
