I recently started listening to Frank Zappa's music after I bought his album "Hot Rats" since I heard that it was a great Jazz-Rock album. That album is a masterpiece and I have bought many more of his albums. He wrote so many different types of music and all of the albums I own of his are very good. I suggest the albums "Hot Rats", "Waka/Jawaka", and "The Grand Wazoo" if you like Jazz-Rock, "Burnt Weeny Sandwich" if you like Classical/Jazz music, and "Uncle Meat" if you like many music styles.

When I first heard the songs on my Dad's Steely Dan album called "Aja", I knew that I was going to really start to listen to more Steely Dan music. The song "Deacon Blues" from that album has been my favorite song since I heard that album. Donald Fagen and Walter Becker made the perfect mix of Jazz, Rock, and Pop and made many classic albums. I think everyone should try to listen to them and I suggest their earlier albums for a more rock sound and their later albums for a more jazz sound. I recommend the albums "Aja", "Gaucho", and "Countdown to Ecstatsy" but every album they recorded is great! Steely Dan's music will always be remembered and I hope that they continue to tour and write music!
