Pre-ordered Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and replaying Wind Waker

I dunno who actually reads this anymore. Gone are the days in which 25 comments was a small number for me and we broke 70 frequently. Facebook is just that much better than this I guess.

Anyhow, being the Zelda freak that I am, I'm excited for the new DS game Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.

It looks like it'll turn out really well, and it's been confirmed that the difficulty will be upped from Phantom Hourglass.

This excitement has led me to replay possibly my favorite game ever.

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

Ya ya I know I always say Ocarina of Time is my favorite game ever but come to think of it I haven't played WW for 6 years and if my memories of it are even slightly correct it's the most fun I've ever had with a video game. I sold it a while back along with all my GCN stuff to get a new guitar, but it's only $18 used at Game Stop so I figured I could pick it up and play through it all again.

I recently started to replay Twilight Princess, another fantastic game, but I realized how long it had been since I played Wind Waker and how it had only been about a year and a half since I played TP last. Then the more I thought about it, I remembered that Wind Waker was the better game, so I halted TP after Goron Mines (one of the best dungeons ever) and switched over to Wind Waker.

Also, I've decided my top 3 video games ever:

1. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

2. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

3. Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Yup..... all LoZ. They're just way too good.

I am getting the new Zelda game too. I hate the critcism it's getting some haven't even played it yet. Wind Waker is my favourite Zelda game ever.

Ya if you ask me, Legend of Zelda + train = epic win. I dunno why people can't just take it. It's slightly in the future, things have to be innovated.

Man, Spirit Tracks might be the first game for the DS that I'll buy since...Elite Beat Agents 2 years ago! Looks promising indeed.

Wind Waker was unfairly criticized, and while easy, it was a visual "tour de force" and was excellently designed. Definitely among my favourite gamecube games.

Lock- I know, it looks fantastic. I'm interested in the idea of controlling your own phantom, should add more strategy to the combat. I found Wind Waker (and I currently do) in the way that it's hard to die. You basically have to be fighting a boss and make stupid slip ups to get killed. However some of the puzzles, and even figuring out the order in which to accomplish things in the dungeon could get quite tricky. It wasn't really criticized all that much though, I dunno who you're talking about

. It holds a 96/100 average critic score on Metacritic and won a few game of the year awards. If you mean among users at Game Spot, well, welcome to Game Spot, a lot of people don't know fun from a kidney stone around here

Hey, what's up everyone? My favorite bands, in order, are Radiohead, Pearl Jam, The Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers (mostly old school), and Soundgarden. I like many other bands, probably too many to list here. My five favorite movies are No Country For Old Men, Star Wars IV, Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Ratatouille. My five favorite TV shows are South Park, The Colbert Report, Heroes (when it's on, rarely), The Simpsons (old is the best), and then a two way tie between Family Guy and Top Chef (the only reality show I like). On the presidential election 2008 topic, I'm a devout Barack Obama supporter and am looking forward to having him, possibly, as the next president. McCain would work for me too, but not as well. Now that he has Palin on the ticket, I'm very concerned about her being a heartbeat from the presidency if he wins. I strongly dislike Palin. Joe Biden is an amazing politician with an almost unmatched foreign policy resume, so I couldn't be happier with him as Obama's choice.
