I saw Halloween 2 last night, so now I'm reviewing it. Spoilers below.
In the beginning of the movie, there is a definition for "WHITE HORSE." It explains how you see them when you're mentally insane. There's a flashback to Deborah Myers visiting young Michael in the mental institution, bringing him a small white horse statuette. It reminds him of a dream he had where Deborah was dressed in white as a ghost and had a white horse, and she told him it was time to come home. 15 YEARS LATER. Laurie is covered in blood and hysterically traumatized after shooting Michael. Sheriff Brackett finds her, and she is taken to the hospital, as are Annie and Dr. Loomis, who survived Michael's attack. However, Michael escapes after the coroner's van crashes into a cow, and Michael kills the drivers, escaping. The bullet apparently grazed his head. He sees a vision of Deborah and a white horse. ONE YEAR LATER, Laurie is having nightmares about Michael attacking her and killing her, despite the fact that he's "dead." She even has thoughts about her as Michael, killing her friends as he killed, such as killing Annie the way Michael killed Ronnie White. She is also in therapy. She's living with Annie and Sheriff Brackett. It's apparent that Michael and Laurie have some psychological connection when Laurie is eating pizza as Michael is eating a dog at the same time (similar to Halloween 5). Dr. Loomis writes a book about Michael Myers, which explains that Laurie is Angel Myers, Michael's sister. She has a dramatic outburst when she reads it, storming out of the house, extremely pi$$ed at Annie and Brackett. She decides to party with her friends, Mya and Harley, and to get drunk and forget about everything she's going through. She sees a vision of Deborah Myers and a young Michael. Meanwhile, Michael kills Harley, and Laurie and Mya go back to Laurie's house, unaware of where Harley is. However, they don't know that Michael chased and slashed Annie while they were on their way. Annie dies in Laurie's arms, and Mya calls 911. She doesn't know the address, so when she goes outside to look, Michael pulls her in and kills her. He chases after Laurie, and she escapes to a road, where a driver offers to take her to the hospital. Michael kills the driver and flips the car over. He takes an unconscious Laurie to a shed, and the police and SWAT are on their way. Laurie imagines a young Michael restraining her, but when Loomis goes in to help, he tells her that nobody's holding her down, and that it's in her mind. Michael kills Loomis after repeatedly stabbing him in the face. A sniper shoots Michael through a window in the shed, and he falls back onto the spikes of some farming equipment. Laurie tells him she loves him, before stabbing him multiple times in the heart, then in the head. She walks out of the shed wearing Michael's mask, and the Halloween theme begins to play. It then shows Laurie sitting on the foot of her bed in a long whte room (a mental institution). She sees Deborah and a white horse walking down her room, and has an evil grin on her face. End credits.
I loved the movie. I just didn't completely understand the ending. I want to think that Michael really died at the end of the first one, and Laurie was actually in the Myers mask doing all the killings. But the fact that they both see the white horse because they're both insane was great. I only hated that so many deaths were in slow motion. I couldn't tell what was going on with Annie, and she was the most important person to die, in my opinion. Otherwise, I loved the movie. Definitely worth waiting over 8 months.
It's been over 3 hours since I watched episdoe 6x03 and I still find myself rewinding the DVR to the Brathan scene in that episode. That scene just made my friggin' year! No joke! It blows the infamous sprinkler scene(4x13) out the water(no pun intended)!
I'm no dummy but when Brooke was leaving the house after speaking her peace about tragedy I noticed how Nathan was looking at her and I was just praying for a Brathan consolation scene. Needless to say, there's a knock on the door and I'm once again praying that Nathan is behind it. Lo and behold, Nathan Scott in full flesh!!!
And don't get me wrong. And scene with Brooke/Nathan together makes my week. Anyone can admit they deserve much more scenes together. Hell, if only for Nathan's sake. The guy has like no scenes with other people prior to his family and Quentin(scratch the latter out now). So any Brathan scene makes me a happy camper. But this one takes the cake.
If I haven't said it once, I said it a million times! Brooke and Nathan have been down similar paths and before I even started watching the show I realized that! Hell, I even said it in the previous blog!!! So, to hear Nathan say something I've been saying for the longest was just like a dream come true. I'm glad that realization to brought onto in the script.
I've also mentioned countless times that Brooke is the most selfless person on the show. And I think it was really nice to hear Nathan mention that and notice that. Even though they don't talk much, they traveled down similar roads and Nathan gets Brooke without words. I've always felt that way about them and now it's bought to light. That's why I love that scene so much and that's why the rest of my year is made.
Plus, they hugged in the end! What the hell more can I ask for?!
Inner Thoughts: A romantic kiss, maybe.
Don't get greedy.
well, in a couple of hours OTH fans will watch the S5 finale
and I decided it's a great reason for my first blogpost!
everybody who has been watching OTH since the very beginning knows that S5 was not the best for the show (and for Lucas/Peyton - the couple that I'm rooting for!) but it still had some really great moments... so I dedicate this blogpost to top 5 my favorite Leyton scenes in S5. but who knows, maybe in season finale we'll get some other great Leyton moment ![]()
number 5

episode: 5. I Forgot To Remember To Forget
scene: Leyton's meeting
quote: Lucas: So, what are you wearing? - Peyton: Luke, I can't do that right now. I'm at work. - Luke: I'm thinking a Pink Floyd tee over the long-sleeve white shirt and maybe those sexy jeans with the hole in the knee? - Peyton: Wow. You are good! - Lucas: Yes, I am. Really good.
music: --
why: it's the only S5 scene where Lucas and Peyton are happy together - so it's really nice to see them being SO into each other in the past but knowing that they are not a couple in the present.
number 4

episode: 8. Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want
scene: Leyton's farewell
quote: Peyton: I was reminded today in a roundabout way that the most perfect act of love is sacrifice. It's what Keith did for Karen: burying his feelings for her for all those years so he could be a good friend. I love you, Lucas. And I think I have since the first moment we locked eyes and it is going to suck but if what you want is for me to let go then I'm gonna do it. Be happy, Luke. I want that with all my heart.
music: --
why: oh, c'mon! this scene could melt the heart even of the people who don't care... I started to cry since her first words "think maybe Whitey will let you out of practice early so we can catch a movie". and if Luke just said smth back (at least called her name) this scene probably would take higher position.
number 3

episode: 7. In Da Club
scene: Leyton's kiss
quote: Lucas: What do you want from me? I flied to LA, I asked you to marry me, you said 'no', so I moved on. Why haven't you? - Peyton: 'Cause I should have said 'yes'. Luke, I was young, and I was scared, and I did not realize that by saying 'I wasn't ready', it would mean that we would never be together again. Had I known that I would have said 'yes'. - Lucas: Peyton. - Peyton: No, Luke, I miss you every day. And I have told everyone here that I didn't come back for you but I did. Of course I did. I still love you, Lucas.
music: "Stay Away" by the Honorary Title (No, I can't dance less it's slow or sad to a song that's far less obvious. You using me, do it slowly, make it last until I have to go. Stay away from, stay away from, stay away from me...)
why: I cried again... Lucas was screaming, Peyton was almost crying...and then she kissed him and he kissed her back and I felt like I was flying. and I thought 'yay! that's the moment for Leyton's reunion" but in the end of the episode... well, everybody knows what happened in the end of the episode
but it still gave us some hope for the future!
number 2

episode: 6. Don't Dream, It's Over
scene: Leyton's fight
quote: Peyton: I wanted you so bad, but you gave up on us. - Lucas: I gave up on us? By proposing I gave up on us? - Peyton: No! By not waiting you gave up on us, and you know that's the truth! - Lucas: That's great, Peyton! You wanna talk truth, let's tell the truth! You gave up on me! That's why you didn't say 'yes', you didn't think I could do it! You didn't think I could get my novel published, maybe you just didn't care, because it wasn't about you, or what you wanted. - Peyton: Well, if that's the truth, if I never cared, then how come every time I see this stupid book I buy it every stupid damn time, Luke. You said I was great! You said I could be great! You said we were destined to be together! You said it to the world, you said it to me and I wish you never had because you did not mean any of it!
music: --
why: well, probably I just like when the actors are screaming
in fact, it was really strong scene and I was almost crying. if they fight then they still feel smth to each other. and btw I was just too tired of them whining all the time (I guess, Luke and Peyton are the most whining characters - have no idea why they are my favorites
) so this fight refreshed everything. and they were both just so awesome, so great in this scene that I was watching it with open mouth ![]()
and finally...
NUMBER 1

episode: 5. I Forgot To Remember To Forget
scene: Leyton's proposal
quote: Lucas: Yesterday was a great day. And I'm sitting on the bus and I realize that none of my great days in my life matter without you. You're the one I want next to me when my dreams come true. You're the one I want next to me if they don't. As long as I have you nothing else matters. - Peyton: There's... it's just not as simple as all of that, okay. - ... - Lucas: You're saying 'no'. - Peyton: No! I am not saying 'no', I am saying 'not now'. I want to marry you someday. Hey, don't do that, don't pull away from me, okay? I want us to be together. I love you so much. - Lucas: Just not enough... - Peyton: Okay. Can we take this back? Can we just pretend like you never woke up, please? - Lucas: I don't think we can. - Peyton: I'm afraid that this conversation is going to end with... - Lucas: Goodbye...
music: "Where I Stood" by Missy Higgins (I don't know what I've done or if I like what I've begun, but something told me to run and, honey, you know me it's all or none. There were sounds in my head, little voices whispering that I should go and this should end and I found myself listening. 'Cos I don't know who I am, who I am without you. All I know is that I should... And I don't know if I could stand another hand upon you. All I know is that I should... 'Cos she will love you more than I could. She who dares to stand where I stood...)
why: were there any doubts that Leyton's fan will choose exactly this scene as the most favorite in S5? well, first of all, it's the longest Leyton scene not only for S5 but for the whole show, I guess - so it's always cool to watch your fave characters for like 5 or even more minutes! secondly, it's the most beautiful proposal in the OTH history (just if she said 'yes' or he said 'okay, blondie, I'll wait till you're ready!' - why didn't they?) and really appropriate beautiful music. and finally... well, I don't know what's finally. that's the scene that showed us why Luke and Peyton were not together anymore - and it just broke my heart! (probably, I love not only screaming actors but also broken hearts
) and it was their last scene as a couple... last for S5 - we still have S6 and believe me, that season will have more great Leyton moments!
Anyone actually read these? Well Life has been alright. Spending money alot lately and well no income = hurter. Anyways Been playing games to keep my time. Call of Duty 4 is what I play on XBOX Live all the time and Guitar Hero 3 is always fun. Trying to reach the 11 million expert career score. I've been thinking about professionally playing video games for awhile now to start making some money. I think the best way to do that is gamble on video games. I just started Call of Duty 4 back up after a 3 month hiatus and I'm still rusty but honing my skills. I have about 6 hours added up so far since I've last played.
If you knew me you'd know I've made alot of money from Video Games already. When I was 13-14 I made a good 5000-10,000 on a game called The Sims Online. I'm dedicated but I'm just lazy. I need a job and betting online games is the most logical. Anyways enough ranting about video games.
Xbox Gametag = Gnomesie
Now when is Heroes starting back up and when is Season 2 part 1 DVD coming out. ARGH.
