No more games! (Kinda)

By (kinda) I mean after Subsistence.  It's cheap, can't go wrong with that.  However, as far as new games go I'm pretty much done until I move out West sometime this summer.  There are games I'm looking forward to but all look like rentals to me.

That said, I have GRAW, God of War, Condemned and Kameo to finish right now.

Dear Microsoft...

I hope you choke.  And by that I mean, I hope whomever is responsible for the "shortage" falls off a cliff and dies. Tactical positioning my ass, all it's done is piss a lot of people off, including myself.

It S U C K S!

No UCB banners.  The old posts that were supposed to be brought back STILL aren't there.  No navigation at the bottom of the frickin' page.  STILL no "mark all read" button, can't search UCB's.

Great job.  I don't think I've seen a site suck this bad since...well, EVER.

I'll be keeping my money next time.  I would have this time but apparently I would have had to give 10 days notice...

F'ing rip off.

If you haven't listened to Sometimes, you're doing yourself a huge disservice. Dallas Green has one of the best male voices in rock/pop music not heard since Jeff Buckley's too short run. Hauntingly melodic, soulful and honest, Sometimes is a beautifly done, bare-bones album. Dallas plays and sings on this stripped down cd, and does so with class.

Songs like Day Old Hate, Save Your Scissors, and Hello, I'm in Delaware are emotional and moving without sounding like a typical teen angst or "breakup" song.

The album is available on iTunes, and if you're a fan of Alexisonfire, you probably already know about it. If not, and you love amazing acoustic music, give it a listen. You won't regret it.

Sure they go off on tangents, but few bands actually try to progress musically. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. In Radiohead's case, it works 9 times out of 10, and proves that cookie cutter rock isn't the only choice out there.
I will avoid the "next Pink Floyd" cliches, but I will say that they must derive some influence from the rock giant. From the heady nature of the lyrics to the visuals used on album covers and in live shows, Radiohead proves to be the stimulus for the bland soundscape that is today's musical scene.
