Ah SP...this is the band that got me back into other genres of music after a long metal only phase...still remain one of my favorite none metal bands. I don't know if you guys have noticed but for a while now my profile picture has been replaced with a message from photobucket saying the picture is unavailable because of Walt101's lack of activity. Walt if you are out there reading this, sign into your god d@mn photobucket account! Also when I try to change the picture, a message pops up saying it can't complete the process.

Got a little slip on my door telling me where I can go to pick it up, will go and get it! MW2 and ODST here I come!! Aww, wait, I leave tomorrow .

UPDATE: I got it back, now time to kill everything and anything before I leave.

I feel like a slave of everything at the moment. So much to do, so little time, and so little motivation.

Actually I lie, that's an exaggeration. I have finals next week but they're all crammed into a 2 day period so it means that I have to suffer only for a few days more, but once that's over I'm done for the semester. One good thing that's happened is that I managed to get my CDL permit for my job, since I passed all 5 written tests required.

So I officially start training to get my actual Commercial Drivers License on Monday by learning how to drive a bus. All I have to say that the tests for the permit are so bat**** random. They're filled with the most scatter brained, irrelevant questions ever known to man. I mean seriously, I'm trying to get a permit to learn how to drive a large vehicle, not trying to get a Ph.D in Obscure Vehicle Facts. I kid you not, one of the questions was "What is the required size of a fire extinguisher that must be carried in a taxi-cab?"

Okay granted a LOT of the information tested on is vital knowledge, but that's just inexcusable. A taxi is hardly relevant to ANY sort of large commercial vehicle. Anyways, I passed them all and I'm done with it. Now I just have to return to the local DPS office for a driving test once my training is complete.

In the meanwhile, it's back to studying for the next few days.

Done with finals so bring on Christmas break!

That's it! I can't take it anymore! SW keeps digging it's grave lower and lower. Seriously, I haven't not even posted a single thing in over a month! A month! That's a new record of SW inactivity! SW died a year ago, this time, it is rolling all over it's grave. SW isn't what it used to be! All you see now is news and that's it. Why call it System Wars then, when it should be called "System Wars"? Most of the good users I know are either banned or have moved on, so there's less comedy at System Wars each I went there.

Hmm. I can't believe I'm posting a blog this soon. Well I need to register for one more class for next semester, next week is the last week of classes, and the week after are finals. December 17 is my last day before break. Then I have a nearly 3 week break from school. .

I wonder if anyone will comment on this blog now that I've posted it and I rarely post blogs nowadays?

Anyways, I won't be getting DBZ: Raging Blast because it's the same thing like the budokai and tenkaichi series. DBZ is over and it will not change. The game just repeat the storylines and the gameplay is practically similar in every game. So therefore, I won't be getting anymore DBZ games. Also, DBZ remastered DVD's was the worst thing ever. First they cut the screen and then they had to do the voiceovers again which sounded much worse than the original versions. If you guys watch any DBZ parodies on youtube, then you'll know that Toei made it so that DBZ is copyrighted on youtube the bastards . The parodies were very entertaining and it made me want to watch more since they were humorous as well XD.

I don't play videogames as much as I used to or watch dbz now cuz it's boring for the time being. School, gym, homework, and living on my own occupy most of my time.

I also won't be uploading any more videos of dbz because gamespot never bothered to fix it glitch and it's just not the same anymore.

To those who play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you have no lives. Get a life. I mean seriously. First Halo, then WoW, and now this. :O.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. I would have finished it earlier but I have a habit of trying the boss to see if I can beat it but if I die I don't try again right after so I beat that and I also got to level 25 yay!

Zombies are a profitable market as of late and it seems developers outside of Capcom are finally catching on. Gearbox has released their first bit of downloadable content for Borderlands, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned. It's giving us some lovely new scenery, zombies and a lot more humor.

Not all is sunshine and rainbows in the murky swamps of Jakob's Cove. It seems the overworked citizens are a little mad….. Oh and they seems to be dead. Or would that be undead since they're all crawling around and trying to eat your brains? When you arrive in Jakob's Cove via the fast travel system, you'll be greeted with a quick and adorable introduction. Once that's over, your zombie massacre will begin! After saving the town of Jakob's Cove, it's up to you to get to the bottom of this strange infection and save the day. The story is told however, through the speakers of various echo communicators. You'll come across plenty of them throughout the four to six hour ordeal to fill you in on all the strange shenanigans plaguing the island. Of course you won't always need the echo communicators to get all the wonderful humor that's been packed into the new content as well.

You're going to encounter a lot of zombies in the Zombie Island of Dr. Ned. The zombies range from the normal, slow zombies that hit rather hard to barrel tossing suicide zombies and Tankensteins that heft around loot chests. You'll also encounter Crimson zombies and Psycho zombies. Crimson zombies can use turrets just like Crimson engineers yet they still like to get up close and personal. Psychos… Well they just run at you like psycho bandits. That doesn't make them less terrifying though! There are also Defilers. These guys tend to spit up some nasty phlegm that can not only blind you but slow you down as well. These enemies change up the pace a bit and keep players from getting bored with the slow pace of the normal zombies. Provided you kill with a headshot you can blow off their heads to collect brains for a chain of quests and limbs so you watch them crawl mindlessly to you if you're interested in that kind of thing.

While Zombie Island adds some new enemies and a new setting with a better narrative it really can't escape the large problem in Borderlands. That problem is repetition. You'll spend the majority of the game talking to the bounty board and killing certain enemies while you hunt down and collect items. You can only kill so many zombies and collect so many brains before the new car smell wears off and that familiar feeling of monotony finally takes over.

The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is a great bit of downloadable content even if it's still a little repetitive. It's got a solid narrative this time around and the scenery is a breath of fresh air considering Pandora's barren terrain we've grown so accustomed to. Oh, let's not forget about the zombies. Who doesn't love zombies? If you're itching to go back to Pandora and delve into the mystery of the island, then it's certainly something you want to look into purchasing.

Yes, I'm aware Capcom isn't the only company who has made a game with zombies but that's not the point!

My net's once again giving me too much trouble. For the past two days I've hardly had more than half an hour of active net connection(with all those 1 minutes and 2 minutes put together). So I'm finding it hard to be active on GS. To make matters worse, Dragon Age is keeping me occupied for most of the time.

UPDATED IMPRESSIONS

Dragon Age's been a bittersweet game so far. There are a number of flaws and yet the game manages to keep me hooked. The torture!

As I said in my previous blog, the game is glitched enough for me to say that Bioware decided to put out a half-finished product. Glitches include:

1. The enemy attacks going way off mark and still being able to damage my character.

2. Characters getting stuck at the corners of even small obstacles

3. Random drops in frame rate

4. Sudden freezing and crashing

5. Unresponsiveness to orders in tactical mode

...and a few more minor and rare glitches.

However, the storyline is very good and the missions are interesting. A number of side missions are close to the main story and hence you don't get the feeling that you're getting side tracked.

Overall, the game is good in almost all aspects, but minor flaws in every aspect prevent it from being the best in any.

I find myself comparing the game often to other games as well as a few books. Comparisons are as follows:

Oblivion:Inevitable! The previous(and perhaps even now) pinnacle of open ended RPGs(the un-hack n' slash type) has a few things in common with DAO and yet there a are so many things completely different too. The most important aspect is the open endedness - DAO isn't half as open ended as Oblivion. You can't travel on foot between towns or areas, and thus the very aspect of exploration is limited. A lot of 'explorable' places are also restricted early on and obviously the game is more plot driven.

Mass Effect:The last time I played a game with such an awesome storyline and detailed universe was Bioware's own Mass Effect. However, I feel that DAO still falls short of the ME storyline, which was totally epic... worth a novel. I'd say DAO has a great storyline, but I wouldn't call it novel-worthy. ME had a more engaging plot with more suspense and twists than your average mystery novel.

The Witcher: The tactical mode and the combat view in it reminded me of The Witcher, even though the isometric view was introduced as early as Dink Smallwood.

Fable-The Lost Chapters: Character interactions look like those from Fable. The character is shown as a dumb(in the sense speechless) dopey looking kid in Fable and I find the same expression in DAO. Couldn't they have done something better here. At least the accompanying characters express their views occasionally, which kinda breaks the monotony.

Eragon: The whole Grey Warden thing and the dealing with the different races - it reminds me so much of Eragon. And then there are dragons in both.. tho the portrayal of dragons is different. There were a few instances that made me feel that I was playing a scene out of the book. I can't tell you the scene because then it'd be a spoiler.

Lord of the Rings: The mother of fantasy novels! Naturally I always tend to find something from LotR in any fantasy novel that have humans, elves and dwarves in them.

I actually hoped that I'd be writing a review by this time, but the game is so large that I feel that I've hardly breeched the surface. So the review will have to wait.
