Christian Bale: Innocent or Guilty?

Some of you may have already found out about Christian Bale's alleged assault on his mother and sister earlier this morning. This incident supposedly took place a few days before the premiere of "The Dark Knight" so that it wouldn't ruin the premiere and box office weekend numbers. The police would not reveal who the 34-year-old actor was that assaulted his mother and sister. The "34-year-old actor" was released on bail. No charges have been filed, yet.

After 10 years as a struggling actor, Christian Bale started breaking out in movies like the American Psycho, Reign of Fire, The Machinist, and the infamous Batman Begins and just a few days ago, The Dark Knight. I really hope these allegations are false and that they simply have the wrong guy and this is all some media circus act. As much as I would like to block this out of my mind, my favorite actor in the entire planet is a criminal? Not just your ordinary criminal, but someone who hits his mother and sister?! For Bale's sake, I really hope not. To be quite honest, I would never have thought that Bale would ever do such a thing. He was always the cool, quiet, calm and collected, type of person. A very private person, virtually never appearing in the media unless it has to do with a new movie he is promoting. I dont know what to say. I hope everything surfaces and they announce that they have the wrong guy and it was some media propanganda.

i heard about this too, i would assume he is guilty unfortunately, i dont know what kind of mother or sister would falsely accuse him....really bad timing as well as this will defientely make big headlines

I don't think so, he fully co-operated and is out on bail but I don't think it's true. I won't believe it till he's charged.

I doubt he hit his mom and sister, I believe he is estranged from them so they could lie

Well, just because he kicks ass in a movie, doesn't mean that he can get off scott-free.

However, I'm just learning about this, so I can't judge anything.

It could be that his estranged mother and sister could pull off something like this. The incident took place at a hotel. What bugs me is why would he assault them? He might have been in an argument with them and he got in their face but that happens. I HIGHLY doubt he assaulted anyone for that matter. I say, INNOCENT.

I'd have to say innocent, but you can't really see people's true colors, even if he gets involved with the media and so forth.

But like Tobkinator said, I'd perfer that he's innocent, but who's to really say until all statements have been fully analyzed and proven.

I was shocked though. Aside from Christian Bale being my favorite actor, he didnt seem like that type of person. But you're right, dont judge a book by it's cover.

Both his sister and mother said it's more of a personal family thing

Police weren't called to the scene or anything

Besides, threatening to kill someone is considered assault, they never said what type of assault it was

Toriko42: Wow, I didnt know that. Well in that case, it makes me feel a bit better but still, there are some deep underlying issues here we'll never know about. Well, we shouldnt care about it anyways, as it's none of my business. As long as everything turns out well in the end. Yeah, the whole thing was really hush hush.

Greengoblin: Yeah, he's always been cool in my book. His life is super private and even this incident is sealed shut. He loves his privacy as would anyone. I bet he did something, someone who was angry would have naturally done in an argument and they blew it out of proportion. But for this to make it to the morning news..? Had to be pretty extreme dont ya think? Hmm..

I've always thought it was pretty cool how he keeps private and doesnt obviously do drugs or flash his privates {I,m looking at you Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and many, many more}

I say innocent. But thats just my hope. I agree that he doesnt seem the type. Hey Elann, have you checked out the movie Eqaulibrium? He stars in it and I think it is one awesome movie. One of my favorites. Thanks for posting the blog by the way. I hadnt even heard about it yet.

tobkinator: That's like the new fad for all newer celebrities. Hannah montana's the next Britney spears i guarantee it. That girl from High school musical has nude pics out already. I guess being a **** is the new in thing.

I hope that he's innocent he doesn't seem like he could do such a thing.

Tobkinator: Lol, yeah. I've always respected that about him too. He seems like a gentlemen and very private. I'm at the point where I dont really care because I'm sure it's just a bunch of media trying to earn their front cover gossip.

Jaforbe: Yup, I've seen it. Great movie. It was actually shown in my sociology class back in high school during lunch but I didnt get to watch the whole thing. Then I rented it on my own and I loved it. That' was when he was an up and coming actor. I barely recognized him then.

. Anyway yeah i know too many people that make "mistakes" i just avoid those kind of people. I met a 13 year old girl today thats had sex,does extacy,and i think she might be somewhat mentally ill or just crazy. She cut herself with a box opener to pretend to be emo then she cut her friends shoulder to see if she'll bleed. A few stitches later she's filing charges against her.

I dislike most of the people that live out here although i met a cool guy to play games with today so not all was a lost.
