I have been playing Call of Duty lately and iv noticed some things on many of the online servers. Most of them have a console message that says no swearing. Being opened minded I asked one of the memebers why I wasn't allowed to swear. He inturn replied "Because there maybe be kids playing." Well this is all well and good, but I have a question for you. If i can buy this game at the age 13(im 17) and in this game I can shoot a man in the head walk over to his body and pistol whip said body and then throw a grenade at his body so his head blows off and blood spurts his neck, however i am not allowed to swear because swearing may hurt the poor children. The poor apparently violent children. I thought swearing was a part of speach and apparently we have something called freedom of speach, but if your going to take out the swearing why not take out the violence aswell? And the reason I used the words American Mentality in my statement is because this seems to be a general American ideal.
