Creed Tenet #1: Don't kill innocents. Whoops!
Oh dear, I better control my impulses.
Shelled out five bucks for Assassin's Creed on Steam and played it for a little bit. It certainly is a beautiful game, though the story has a hokey start. Something about genetic memory doesn't sit well with me. I've read reviews that label the game as the first big disappointment for this generation and I'm eager to see why. For sure, this game is simpler than I expected. I guess I should have figured that since this is a console oriented game and not some complex behemoth like ArmA II.

Death comes quicker from the soul.
After a long wait, Demon's Souls arrived in the mail yesterday through a heavy rain. I have yet to play it myself, but I did watch a friend sink in a few hours in. So many deaths in so little time. My friend looked like he was enjoying himself, but I definitely could see some rage from gathering frustration and annoyance. This game looks to be so harsh in its punishments than any other new game on the market. I can hardly wait to subject myself to it!
Squad 7, move out!
I recently came in to borrowing a Playstation 3 from a friend for an extended period of time. I dove right in to this opportunity and bought Valkyria Chronicles to play. So far, I'm loving the art and the setting of the game. Also, the English voice overs aren't too shabby. I can't wait to progress in to the game and gain access to the tank, additional classes, and special orders.
Killing, Smuggling, Selling
Grand Theft Auto 4 (PC) has been discounted to US$29.99 at a nearby Fry's Electronics and that was too good to pass on. After waiting a for the near half hour install to finish up, I fired up the game and got Niko Bellic off the Platypus. After twenty hours into the game, I can say I'm enjoying my time in Liberty City. The more realistic angle of GTA IV is rubbing me the right way and I'm enjoying the friends gameplay (mostly because of the dialog). It takes some time getting used to health kit hoarding again after so many games with regenerative health.
Lastly, I love that little cellphone. So many useful things come from it.

U Damage for all
I forgot to update my collection with my recent purchase of Unreal Tournament 3 for the PC. I couldn't pass up that sweet Steam deal to have the game for only $12. So far, I'm really liking the pretty graphics and the fast hit scan shooting. Sadly, I've run in to some game lock ups with my Core 2 Quad 9300, ATI Radeon HD 4870, and 4 Gigs of RAM rig. Maybe I should opted for an nVidia card? Oh well, hopefully there will be a fix soon.
