Is It Possible I'm Bitter?
I wasn't at all satisfied with the way Alias ended, and wasn't particularly happy about the reappearance of Anna Espinosa. Not a happy Vanessa over here.
Sorry I've been gone for a while, my life has been one massive party this year. I completed my real estate internship so now I can handle clients on my own (scary. It's an evil world it is), and I'm also in a relationship with a charming figure of a man.
I'm really excited about Smith for fall. The premise is really good, and I'm a Ray Liotta fan.
Bringing Out the Santa Suit
So I left the shop and followed "Santa" (because I'm weird like that ... but I wasn't stalking him, honest) a little bit down the street and saw him go into a candyshop. Turns out that Moira's Candy has got in their Christmas Chocolate a month too late and are going madcrazy advertising it. I bought 10 special Christmas candy baskets and I must say, it was very nice.
My advice to you all, if you ever land in Austin, check out Moira's Candy for all your Christmas confectionary needs.

The Tenth Post
I miss you, Alias. What's it gonna be like after it finishes? I may just die.

False Representations on TV
I've also just found out that one of my bestest gal pals has got cancer today. So I'm in a reflective state.
Cat Power!
My cat will never be able to do this. Just something I felt like sharing with you.
And I'm finally getting to see the new Pride & Prejudice tonight
Fryingpan911? More like 101
I've reached 101 posts ... and it only took me 6 months to get there. Of course, for five and a half months I haven't actually been here.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
Last night, I decided to try out In Justice. It was OK, but less than I expected. I might watch it again next week and then I'll make my final verdict on whether it's a hit or miss
Firework Hypnosis - The Makings of a New Year's Party

Dick Clark is depressing (I only noticed this last night). But apart from that, I had a rockin' New Year. I got slightly tipsy, played several rounds of Spin the Bottle with my friends and was hypnotised by fireworks.
And as I write this, I am extremely hungover.
Happy New Year!

But fear not, for I am here.
Sorry I've been away so long but I've been struggling under the pressures of work and stuff. That, and I'm a yoga addict. My time was devoted to yoga and then I discovered I was doing way too much.
But I've been upset at missing out on TV.com recently. I've never been able to express my love for Rome and one Roman soldier in particular, Ray Stevenson.
I've also been denied the privelage of venting my anger on the fact that Alias has been cancelled. Yes, we all saw it coming what with Garner's pregnancy and Michael Vaughan's (if that really is your name) deceasement. But I'm still really uncontrollably angry.
Still, I have my two new sweethearts - Rome and How I Met Your Mother, along with my good ol' Desperate Housewives to keep me company.
Peace out
Vanessa
You'd Better Miss Me
Nah, I'd never do that.
When I get back, I'll be ready for the new fall season and the new shows that await me. I'm going to miss the pilot of Prison Break which is a shame because that's a show I want to watch.
But when I'm back ... you'll know.
Screw Rachel Nichols, We Want Garner!
If this happened, it would be suicide for the show. Many of its loyal viewers (and I include myself in this bracket) would tune out because the truth is, Alias is nothing without Jennifer Garner. I understand she's pregnant and has a bigger family now, but JJ, if Jennifer wants to leave then the show should end.
End of Alias-related rant.
