Or in other words, I've apparently just been tagged by AC55. Okay... well apparently probably isn't the best word, because it is a certainty that I have been tagged. So change that first sentence to, 'I've been tagged'.

Five things you may not necessarily know about me.

1. I'm much, much more shy in real life if I don't know the person that I'm talking to. Or in other words, not nearly as outgoing as I may seem on here.

2. I tend to drift off if I'm not interested in what is happening around me. This occurs on a very regular basis.

3. I love to read. I'll read bascially anything, and I've managed to get the art of speed reading down. Which kind of sucks because it means a book (if I'm interested in it) will typically only take me an afternoon or two at most to finish.

4. I love to learn (things that I'm interested in). If I don't know how something works, then immediately I'll try to find out how it works and why.

5. I love lamp.

Hmm, I'm not entirely sure who I want to tag.

I'll tag mjcowley (and too bad if you've already done it Mike, you're doing it again! ), and then who ever wants to be "tagged" we'll just pretend that I tagged you.

It's that time of the year again (ho ho ho), where we count down the end of the current year, and start of the next.

I've had a bit of an exciting year, ending the 12 years of traditional schooling which I grew used to, and the commencement of the freedom that university brings. Whilst not going into details, I'm very happy with how I'm going so far, and hence look forward to the following three years with my head held high.

2008 also brought to the close myself being a "young-adult", and moving forth into proper adulthood (being 18 and all ), with all the responsibilities which come with that. Or so they say lol, it honestly hasn't been a huge change from last year, but I'll see what next year brings.

This year also brought a change on the GS side, with my promotion to general moderator a while back, and to master moderator about a week ago (with fellow Australian compatriot mjcowley). But I honestly wouldn't be here without the help and support of my fellow moderators and administrators, so numerious thanks to them.

But importantly, I've made a tonne of friends that I most likely otherwise wouldn't have, so I wouldn't trade it for the world. Or would I...

They say that the new year brings with it a fresh slate, to wipe away the mistakes of the previous. But on looking back, I can find very little that I'd do any other way, and that's the way I like to look upon it.

In the end, I've had a blast, and I can't wait to see what the new year brings!

Well as my christmas day wraps up (well actually it did 30 minutes ago), I hope you guys (and girls) had an awesome christmas; I know I did.

With christmas gone, the new year fast approaches, and it seems that we just started this year only yesterday (slight exaggeration ).

Let it be known that I always deliver... most of the time. lol.

Here's a couple of choice snaps that I took while I was in New Zealand out of about 260 or so total (and another 200 or so on the other camera).

I'll probably write a more detailed blog a bit later on, but this'll have to do for now .

Don't worry guys, I won't be gone forever . I'm just going on holidays with the family to New Zealand tommorrow for about 17 days, and I'll be without a PC or most likely the internet for that time.

So that obviously means no GameSpotting !

I'll try to make sure that I get some kickass photos and to remember to post them here (although with my track record... ) when I get back, to document the trip.
