Just don't do it, don't pay full price like you did with L4D shortly after release, wait until the game gets patched and buy it when it's on a weekend deal.

Agreed that Valve need to get their act together, lately they have made some poor decisions.

I didn't pay full price for Left 4 Dead, but I wish I had and gotten it at launch. It's Valve, they don't make bad games. Definitely getting it the day it comes out, probably for 360.
