Do you think there should be a Pokemon MMO? I think it would be a pretty cool idea. Going online with thousands of other people, battling with others, explore dungeons, catch Pokemon, team up with others for battles and dungeon explorations. You could also copy your Pokemon from Platinum, SS, and HG use them, or you could migrate the Pokemon you caught in the MMO are transfer them to your Platinum, SS, and HG. Think Pokemon Mystery Dungeon mixed with the main series Pokemon games with online thrown in. It wouldnt be exactly like that, but that would be the basic idea behind the game. You would also be able to trade with others and mabye compete in some mini-game styled games. Mabye it could also work as a way to get rare Pokemon and items you can normal get in the normal Pokemon games (Platinum, SS, HG, etc). It would also have voice chat so you can talk smack to all the people you are playing against. Finally, the game would place you in groups of people around your level. So someone using all legendaries wouldn't get paired up with someone using baby evelutions for battling. As far as trading and dungeon exploring go well... you can trade with whomever and explore dungeons with whomever.
Thats my idea for a Pokemon MMO. I think it would be a cool and fun idea. The MMO wouldn't have to be exactly how I described, that was just my idea. I would probably want there to be a few more Pokemon before making a MMO, mabye like 600+ Pokemon. So probably by a Gen 5 would I like to see a Pokemon MMo. It would also have to be for the console, because a handheld wouldn't be able to handle all that.

for the 1st time I have the oportunity to be able to go to PAX, this time is not in freaking far-away-Seattle.. is 1:30min from home in Boston... I`m doing BLOCK 5 at work and this would be during BLOCK 10.. so I ask my Chief Resident (CMR) for a reuqest in the schedule and THE F%##%$#$ schedule are already DONE!!!! the FREAKING schedule are NEVER done in time, but nooooooooooooooo this time the attending ahve being assign, the team colors have being assign, and in top of everything that weekend ended-up being my BLACK weekend (meaning I work the WHOLE F^&%$ weekend)
So i went a lil stupid, maybe crazy... and talk with my Program director (who is the MOST diplomatic and easy going , nice guy, that I know in a imp. position) and he said: well I`ll try to talk with her, but at the end is up to her.
I really do not get it, the clinic schedule is NOT DONE, so why they can not swamp my name with someone else`s... yea, I know I being selfish bc is more work for the CMR, but C`mon, I do not get it... whenever said Dr. X, put Dr. Y and viceversa.....
and it was the weekend of my Bday.. it would have being PERFECT!!! couple of friends, that LIKE PAX, IN BOSTON for MY BDAY!!!!

by looking at all the mmos out there free to play (ftp) and pay to play (ptp) the obvious conclusion is that there are quit a few good titles on both sides, however, ftp mmos have the edge of beieing FREE and therefore have a huge initial apeal.
that being said, one could ask: if ftp mmos are good or as good as ptp mmos then why those later ones even exist? shouldnt everybody be playing for free and saving a monthly subscription?
i, myself have tried a couple of free mmos and notabely maple story and perfect world, both games are amazing, PW being more technically superior with its fancy 3d graphics etc... both games have a huge player base and many millions of fans all arround the world, when you play such games, first you are very impressed, but while progressing through the game and having a more profoundd understanding of its mechanics, you come to know that it is a HIGHLY grind grind game and that YOU HAVE to purchase items from that item mall in order to have a descent experience. now they all say no no no, you dont realy have to use the item mall (real cash) to play the game and that the item mall is just optional... but thats not true at all, the games are made in a way that a regular progression through the game will require cash items and without them, the experience is at least nightmarish if not impossible and time waisting.
now, i understand that devs need money for their effort which is really faire, but how? how would a ftp mmo make enough money for the studio who made it and still maintain it, without disturbing the game experience?
and the answer is simple:
1- an item mall that contains "non gamplay altering items". an item mall could have fashion clothing, decorative items, alternative mounts, dyie items and cutomized items etc...
BUT DO NOT CONTAIN: in game money, exclusive weapons/ armor, power up items, etc...
2- use the power of google ads (or any other ads) !
it is a very known fact that websites which have a descent organic trafic make thousands of dollars every month, why not a an mmo with millions of users?
