Garfields general update blog of epicness

Gaming:

Well I have been playing a bit of everything but the PC lately. I have been focusing on Uncharted 2 and LittleBigPlanet on Playstation 3 (my friend recently got one so we have been doing co-op on that a lot) and also Fifa 10 on Xbox 360. Offline I have been mainly playing Formula One Championship edition (career mode mainly just as I quite like how it works and also that I am taking Toro Rosso into quite a nice place in the constructors table, not first but if we can get a top 5 finish its a good year).

Purchases:

Well really I have not picked up many so far this month, Grand Theft Auto IV Tales of Liberty City on Xbox 360 and Warhawk on Playstation 3 are the ones that spring to mind. I have also ordered Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on XBox 360 online but am just awaitng a dispatch email (hopefully soon but for the price I paid I dont mind waiting a little for it). I am hoping to pick up Assassins Creed 2 next weekend or even pre-order it as I am very impressed with what I have seen so far. I have not decided which version to go for but I will make my mind up soon no doubt. After that its Dragon Age Origins and thats about it really that has me interested.

I am planning on just hammering these games when I get them and enjoying the ones I have rather than spending more on more games as I just don't see the point in buying loads more when I will have these to enjoy. Thats not to say its ending my game buying, far from it, just that I will wait then for Bioshock 2 and the other big games next year to start rolling in.

Gamespot

Some of you may or may not have noticed my lack of activity of late. I have mainly been hanging around Decision Based Gaming Union and the UK general discussion board. I am not really sure why it is but I am just floating around and reading more than posting at the moment. If things change then so be it, I wont be quitting here by any means but I am looking around and just posting when I want to really. No point in forcing myself to post when I don't want to really.

General stuff

Well its same old same old really, getting on with work which has been good as its busy which I like to be when working. Other interest wise I am just listening to music more and enjoying Friends which I recently got the box set on DVD (totally worth buying for Friends fans out there) and just generally looking at what I may get when I cut back on the game buying for a bit (maybe some new Blu Ray films and dvds/ music cds to pass the time when I am not in a gaming mood).

So yeah thats about it really. I appologise to the unions I am not active in, I will try and help out but I am not going to promiss anything as I dont want to disapoint by making promises I wont keep. Just keep an eye out for me and who knows what will happen.

I need GTA IV: Tales Of Liberty City... but, uhh... Maybe I should finish GTA IV first. I dunno if I'll get AC2, since the first is here, but I have yet to play it. MW2 is a definite pickup for me, I just don't know if I'm getting it on Black Friday or on Christmas. I'm psyched for Dragon Age. Don't worry too much about GS, I was pretty inactive here for about 10 or 11 days until today, I was way too busy with College. I'll be on here much more now.

Is Friends the entire 11 series or whatever, start to finish?

Watching Friends never gets old....I lost my old boxset...actually some "friends" borrowed them and decided not to return them ...lol....so I'll be buying them again, soon. It's always good to see you posting in DBGU....hope we can make the union bigger and better with a lot of new ideas coming in. You really should bring Dragon Age: Origins on top of your buying list....I've just played for 7-8 hours and I'm already addicted. I woke up early today just to play for 40 minutes before I go to work

@Zeromus1337- Cool stuff, yeah I know what you mean. I think really that is why I am after Assassins Creed 2 and Dragon Age Origins and then will just play what I have got until the bigger games start to arrive next year.
@NuKkU- I knew you would lol. I am just going to read up and decide which version to get, I would like to know which was lead platform as that would influence it a bit more I think.
@macrules_460- sorry to hear that, are you getting it repaired/ a new xbox?
@loopy_101- thats cool, worth a try if you get the chance.
@pai-may- Yeah its the full collection, it was very cheap for the complete box set so I picked it up (about the cost of 4 seasons on their own so it was very cheap for me).
@DeadManRollin- Yeah Friends is a great show to me, I especiall enjoy the earlier seasons as it seems more risky with what jokes it makes. I hope DBG grows as well but I would be happy if more of the users posted there but we have several active members already. As for Dragon Age, I will get it but I am putting Assassins Creed 2 first as I am really liking the look of it. I will probably get DAO on PS3 as the PC version wouldnt work so well on my PC.

I need a PS3 How is the Tales from Liberty City? It looks pretty good having both the GTAIV expansions in it

@Shiggums - Yeah the PS3 is a nice piece of kit although recently I have just been using Formula One and Blu Rays on it rather than gaming. However I will probably get back onto it when I get bored of other stuff, it goes in cycles. As for GTA Tales of Liberty City, its quite good. The single player story seems quite humerous which I like, although free roam is a tad dull but I think thats because I used up my "what happens if I do this" on GTA 3 so I cant be bothered doing it all again. Multiplayer however seems a bit iffy. It seems unorganized and empty at times and nobody talks so it just feels dull when you have a game of 2 v 1 and you just get shot up loads. I need to give the game more time to give a more fair opinion on it mind.

DAO will have you occupied constantly - you won't even THINK about any other game
