Before Del dropped the wonderful Both Sides Of The Brain, this underlooked gem came out. after the good but not great No Need For A Alatm, Del got dropped and retaliated this masterpiece. There are great tunes on display here, such as "Why Do You Wanna Get Funkee.." Del's Nightmare and the groundbreaking Love Is Worth. This album is definate summer hip hop album , with Del's superb lyrics and storytelling makes a definate must have, and then later purchase his other releases, such as the superb deltron 3030 album.

Arcon 2's dark blend of jungle was probably one the best that reinforced records bought out, as unlike his Leon Mar alias Arcon 2 does not stand out as been a traditional jungle artist, as the amen break is nearly nowhere to be seen, and his sound is extremely dark and contains various world music elements. Its a pity he only bought out the one album of arcon, as most of other work was rather more jazz inspired and not nearly as good. but hands down his heavily chopped drums and sounds of dark instruments make this guy a real worthwhile listen.

after the nice chilled opener Liquid Earth, Arcon kicks the noise up a notch with the beckoning, a song that wouldn't be out of place in a anime or perhaps a manga movie as i think some of his music was featured in english version of the manga cartoon Fist Of The Northstar, which i can't help of thinking of when i listen to this album. The rest of the songs are really good, and are probably best heard late at night with speakers, as the sounds just fly straight at you. Its a pity there wasn't a follow up album planned, but this album is never a dull listen and will keep you hooked..

EC8OR were perhaps one of the overlooked bands on Alec Empire's DHR label, since many labelled them as 'ATR copyists'. This album shows they where trying to shake off that label, as it had been one the most Punk inspired EC8OR albums to date. whether its the classic a-team sampled opener "you can hire", the irrestible Gina shouting "i'm like glass!" or Patric donning his alec empire-esque voice saying he's afraid of becoming a rockstar on "the suit of harmony", this album has decent samples and a lot ideas throw into it, but is sometimes let down by repetive/broken english lyrics and Gina's sometimes irritating voice. The best track by far though is crazy Ramones meets ATR sounding "Gimmie Nyquill All night Long", which combines a 3-bar simple punk chord, with crashing electronics and Patric's speedy delivery of the lyrics. This is not much of a album to be introduced to the band (i would suggest the debut or the american only 'all of us can be rich') but is worth a spin if like crazy females (in almost revealing skirts hehe) and want to find where the REAL emergence of the whole breakcore scene came from.

Its hard to really put down what kind of dance music Mr.Oizo is, as his album is superb combination of Dub, IDM, House, Techno, and Hip Hop. if you look past one hit wonder flat beat, you'll find some impressive tunes here, such as the super bizarre hip hop sounding Bad Start (believe me, it isn't), the Dub meets Aphex Twin track No Day Massacre, or the kitchsy Quick Relaxing. apart from those standout tracks there isn't a rubbish track on here and each song features a bizarre usage of samples, which just adds more quirkness to the album. . one of bizarre things i must say though is the CD isn't very compitable with some Cd players (or my laptop for some reason) but if you do find this album and enjoyed it as much as i did you'd definatley agree this is a true music fan's album.
