Why? cause this game has too many cutscences, and metal gear is a stealth action game, but this game is really a war game . And also, its like 5mins of gameplay, then a cutscene, then another cutscene after that cutscene, and those cutscnes are pretty long.
This is why mgs isnt that much ofa video game. its more like a movie

Just in vase you're all wondering, the PS3 is still and always will be my "main" console, due to free online play and plus I have to carry my PS3 back and forth from my mom's and my dad's houses already, I can't bring my 360 too, it'll just stay here at my dad's.
As far as a gold membership goes, there's no way in hell that I'm paying to play online. As I said, I can play for free on my PS3, so I'm just gonna stay with that.
As for games, I really don't care about any that I can't get on PS3 EXCEPT for Alan Wake, which comes out next year, so I'm really not gonna be doing much with my 360 at all until then. When I saw Alan Wake at E3 I was just in awe. And it actually looked kinda scary too. I mean, 1, I was watching someone play it, 2, I've played numerous horror games and I love them, and 3, it was just a short little demo, and it still looked scary to me. I love the concept too, a writer looking for the lost pages of his own horror novel? Genius concept.
I guess I just love games where your running around looking for pages 
But in all seriousness, I think it's a great concept and I can relate too. I think the demo would've been perfect if there was not gunplay, though. Why do all survival horror games make this mistake?? Look at what Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is doing, it looks like a s h i t game, but it's doing survival horror combat right. No, not combat, RUNNING. Survival horror games are much more scarier when you don't have a loaded semi-automatic handgun and when you're forced to desperatly scamper from monsters. If it was like that in Alan Wake, the game would look perfect. I just hate how all survival horror games make that same mistake. Hell, it was a JOKE in Silent Hill 3. A katana? A mace? A submachine gun? Are you effing kidding me!?! That just made this whole situation funnier. If, on the other hand, I had nothing but the pocket knife that I started out with at the beginning of the game, I WOULD have been hella scared.
Not to mention, that totally screws with the attempt to portray desperation in a character. Again, coming back to SH3, the scene where Heather finds a handgun and then a monster, she shoots at it instead of running. That just annoyed the hell out of me. Here is a completely innocent teenager (?) on her way back to her home when she comes across a monster and all of a sudden she's just shooting away?? BS. That just made Heather a completely unrealistic character and the whole thing made no sense.
And now, in Alan Wake, am I supposed to take it that this completely innocent guy desperatly trying to find his girlfriend is shooting innocent (possessed) people?? No way am I buying that crap. There is just no believability there. Shooting just makes him seem not innocent and not desperate, which makes the whole horror experience not terrifying. It makes me care about the main character and his issues much less.
IMHO.
And don't get me wrong, SH3 is a fantastic horror game, along with 1 and 2.
I'm getting way off topic here but my point is I would be looking forward to Alan Wake a lot more if there was no gunplay in the game.
Back on topic, my 360 is really just gonna be collecting dust for the next year or so. I might go out on a limb and get Splinter Cell: Conviction, but I'd really only be doing it so that I had something to do with my 360. Plus, there's enough games coming out this year that I have to buy (for PS3) so I don't think that I will. And on top of all that I have to get Kingom Hearts Days for the DS in September.

Hey guys. First blog post in ages, and probably the last, too xD What i can i say, i'm not good at blogging. Not a lot to report.. I'm on the first weekend of my easter holidays at the moment, and i just got a buttload of coursework handed in, so i'm waiting on replies for that as well as my university now.
Anyway.
Real reason i'm blogging today is to talk about the banner ad on the front page. You know how Gamespot does that thing, where the background for the pages changes and then at the top in the centre banner ad you have the image continuing between the two sides? They do it a lot, and it can look really classy. But, today, when i logged in a was greeted with this:
Well, i'm sure THAT isnt right x3 Not unless the new wallace and gromit game is really freaky. Does anyone know what the ad is supposed to be for? Those monstrous legs have actually got me half interested, and i wanna know what game that is.

Well I have a few things sorted, generally I feel better about allot of stuff now and I think choosing a different bunch of courses in college this year will help, something new.
Im still trying to get used to the way how GS works now, Im liking the new layout despite having some difficulty. The place just looks good with a change thats all, although I'd like to be able to see more blogs, of all things.
Maybe I don't comment much back sometimes but I'd rather just not spam a comment that Im, well, honestly just not backing with real faith or intrest towards the blog subject, like somebody may blog about a bird they saw, a rare bird only seen every 5 years, Im not intrested in bird watching so I just hate saying "Wow Awesome lol" when I really don't mean it And sometimes I miss out on blogs with so many updates or just forget lol
As for whats been happening recently...
Is it just me, or is everyone's connection to xbox live, turned to ****? Applying to UK users mainly, because I have very slow internet on live now, even with no PC or anything connected to the line. Means I can't hit people in Rainbow Six without pretending to be a TF2 Heavy, by using the most rapid firing LMG I can get in the game.
And other than that news, I've reached rank 25 in BF Bad Company, and become a Commander Grade 3 in Halo 3 lol, sucks because for 5 months I've been a commander grade 2.

Yeah, I got the game, on the day and special tin case that the UK got and I love the game lol, apart from the tower of lost souls and Kilik.
So far Im using everyone but mostly Lizardman and second mostly, Cervantes. Lol pirates ftw.

I don't remember the last time I felt so moved by a video game (actually, that's the first time, probably why I don't remember about something I never lived before, but oh well)

It seems that Square Enix is being quite the tease. Details of the Final Fantasy Dissidia character roster are being revealed little by little, and this time it's been confirmed that Final Fantasy X's Tidus will be featured in Square Enix's battle game.
As the main protagonist of Final Fantasy X, Tidus bid his companions farewell at the end of the game, only to resurface in the sequel and in other Square Enix games like Kingdom Hearts and Itadaki Street Special.

Been awhile since I posted. I've switched to gamefaqs for my forum uses as it loads much faster then gamespot. Anyway for christmas I got a few wii games (Mario Galaxy, Supe Paper Mario, Metroid Prime 3) that I have been playing. Ive beated super paper mario almost to the point of complete completion, with galaxy I have 6 more stars to unlock with mario untill I can play as luigi, and in metroid I'm on bryyo at the last boss. I also got about $170 total. I'm thinking of buying the 360 pro ($350), but FPS aren't my preferred genre, but a lot of my friends have a 360. I've decided if I find 4 games I will get a 360. I need suggestions here....My preferred genre is rpg...strategy...that sort of thing.

Well, hello there. I've been gone for about 3 months now, in case you hadn't noticed. I didn't think I'd ever come back since I found a new forum that I liked better. Some things never change though, and here I am before you once again. Things have changed in my absence from GS. I'm no longer that happy person I once was, so don't get mad if I snap at you now. Also, I'm no longer going to post/blog about levels, emblems, and post counts, for that is stupid. On the whole, it is good to be back, and I hope to get re-acquainted to you all.
Well there is nothing new on the video editting front, though expect a new video soon.
But i've got into the graphics department earlier this year, and well I no longer need to ask people for requests, which is always good, though i'm starting to regret opening up that graphics shop at KH-Vids, too many requests. XD.
Well speaking of KH-Vids on New Years Eve I became a member of staff there. And in a site of 4000+ it's a great honour, really that is where I spent alot of my internet time on, well there and The LoF of course.
In real life well work at college got the best of me, first of all there was exams at the beginning of the year followed by a coursework straight away, didn't even give us a break. *sighs* But i'm pretty much caught up with work.
As for any new anime i've become obsessed with Death Note. I love it, definately one of my favourites. I got a Wii for Christmas and love it, i got TP (I love it), Red Steel (it's not bad) and recently Warioware (weird but awesome). And recently I got FFXII it finally came out to the UK, and I love it, i'm been playing it non-stop, except for the past few days because i've been to Disneyland.
