Halfway Through the Holidays.
Yeah, me again. I havent been on much due to the fact that I was spoiled on a cable connection for a solid six months and coming back to dial-up has just been far too painful. Add that to the fact that Uncharted 2, Dragon Age Orgins, and Assassins Creed 2 have kept me locked away in my room hermit style for the last few weeks.
My impressions of the three? Uncharted, yet another success of Naughtygod

Dragon Age, a bit of a letdown after the hype put into it but still a satisfying, lengthy, well polished RPG. I beat it once through with something like 70+ hours into the one character, my first playthrough was made with a human warrior, I started a human mage but got sidetracked by the Assassin's Creed release, I'll most likely pick it up again sometime this week now that I'm all caught up.
Assassin's Creed 2. yeah I still sleep with the case under my pillow, I hear hate coming from one certain person who shall remain nameless in this blog (you know who you are you dirty vegan). I thought this one was a vast improvement over one as much as I did love the first game. The story although leading to another annoying cliffhanger did tie up a few loose ends from the last entry, combat was greatly improved granting stylish kills for well timed counters, graphics, typical beatiful next-gen stuff. All in all a satisfying sequel, I hope to have a reveiw up in decent enough time that people would actually give enough of a damn to actually read it. But we all know how I am about timely posts, we'll see.
This blog is a mite short and rushed I know but I'm just throwin up a quick little somethin while using my friend's internet connection. I should be picking up a gently used laptop around income tax season so we'll see if my activity doesnt pick up a bit then. On top of that, for the few guys I chat around with in the unions, I had been talking about a car that I was supposed to be getting from my uncle during my stay in Ohio, well I came home a couple months ago and that kinda just fell through as things usually tend to with me. But a few weeks ago (think it was about a week before thanksgiving?) anyway, I took a Greyhound BACK to Ohio to pick up the car, so I'm offically done bumming rides off all my friends. I now drive a powder blue Ford Crown vic, best part; it looks like an unmarked police car. I chuckle when people ride their breaks when I tailgate...It's morbid I know...dont judge me.

There and back again.
Well a summer has come and gone, as just about all of you know I've been staying in Ohio working over the summer to try and make alittle extra cash on the side with my construction crew having all but stopped buisness completely.
About a month ago I got a call from the contractor I had been working for saying that he had another job that would keep me busy for a few weeks coming this October so I jumped on it. In short the point of this blog is to say I'm heading home tomorrow morning and that means slow ass internet once again. I might be alittle scarce around these parts until I get settled back in, but once I do I'd like to start maybe a real blog, seems I mostly just post random whatever-the-hell I want subjects which will probably still happen from time to time. But I'd like to start a series on something, just not exactly sure what quite yet.

Some stuff about stuff.
Alright, I realize I came late to this whole thing but I finally saw Watchmen and I need to rant.
Its an odd feeling I have for this movie, it seems like anyone else with my tastes would have hated it, but on the other hand I'll give props to any movie that makes me emotionally invested in the characters be it love or hate. If you can make me care, whether I like the person or not, it seems your doing something right in the way of character development, but half way throught the movie I found myself absolutely loathing all the "good guys" that your supposed to be rooting for in any other cliched superhero story. Night Owl 2 needed to have his teeth kicked in, he annoyed me to no end with his constant whining, and silk spectre 2 was an absolute slut, which was one of the down points in the movie I thought, the sex scenes were so ridiculously drawn out and often I wanna know how many blue pills were handed out on set, seemed like she couldnt go 30 minutes without throwing down atleast once. Dr. Manhattan...oh how I hate him...In one breathe he's going on and on about how he's so misunderstood, no one understands what its like to be him, I felt like handing him a noose and offering to help him string-up, then 5 minutes later he's saying how sick he is of humanity and that he's going to give us all the greatest gift imaginable and leave...BUT then he comes back, sucks to be us huh? The Comedian, the darkest of all the heroes was one I didnt hate, go figure, he killed women and children, attempted to rape Silk Spectre, and shot a pregnant woman. seems to be the one you need hate but yet, he's the only one who doesnt try to make a facade that he's some greater than thou hero, he knows he's screwed up and he knows nothings gonna change. Rorchache...Now here was the one character I both liked, and, I dont wanna say related to, maybe understood is the best way to put it, He was absolutely ruthless, basically a sociopath, but he was my favorite. He saw the worst in humanity and basically hated the whole race, but he protected it anyway, never once did he regret anything he did and not once did he question his instincts, on top of all that, he stayed loyal to his one and only friend who seemed to always turn on him whenever push came to shove.
One of my favorite lines: Rorschach's Journal, October 12th, 1985. Dog carcass in alley this morning, tire track on burst stomach. this city is afraid of me, I've seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politician will look and and shout "Save us!"...and I'll whisper "no".
Also saw that Peter Molyneux announced Fable 3, I have mixed reactions, I rather enjoyed the first two but ever since this Natal nonsense came around I've been leary of those traitors. My thoughts are that they need to let Lionhead's dev team do what they do best and make games, they need to give Petey a coloring book and sit him in the corner to continue stalking virtual adolescent young males.
Shocking...
I would like to begin this blog with a disclaimer: I'am not nor have I ever been emo, I'm not big on emotional heartfelt blogs unless of course it deals with a seething hatred towards certain video games and or movies. This is simply something I noticed over the last week or so, it suprised me and I'm really not sure why. (thats for those of you in the The Last Rolos)
Where to begin, Some of you I talk to more regularly know my story but for those of you who dont, here's some insight. About a year ago I lost my job, I worked for a contractor and I did most of his carpentry and drywalling, I got paid very well for it so needless to say it hurt financially when I lost that job. I went for a few months living on what I had but I quickly ran out of money, lost my car, I was sharing an apartment with a friend and he also lost his job so we lost our place, I pretty much would have been homeless without my parents. I live in Tennessee and I really couldnt find a job where I was so I talked to some family that I have here in northeast Ohio (where I was born actually) and a few people knew of some odd jobs for me to take here, so I came back and have been staying with random members of my extended family working on and off in construction and at a grocery store for the last 5 months.
Now I told that story to segway into this, I hate living here in Ohio, mostly because I really dont much care for city life, I've lived the last 10 years in the country and I do miss it, it really is a different way of life, its much slower and people are more casual, its a bit more laid back which suits me far better. And when you take my personality into account, the fact that I'm not a very emotional person, its gotten to the point at times that people have gotten mad at me for not reacting certain ways to some situations, I dont really get riled up over things, when something bothers me I usually just bottle it up. I realize that may not be the best way to deal with things but its how I am, I cant change it. What I'm getting at though, is that I dont usually get "emotionally attached" to anything or anyone for that matter very easily, I'm not the type of person who usually calls everyone my friend either, if I do call somone my friend we're probably very close and I would do next to anything for that person. As a matter of fact, the only reason I am in such a hurry to get back is because of three people, thats it.
What suprised me on the other hand, I've only been in this state for almost six months now. there's three people here who I did get rather close to and I will miss quite a bit, I never expected that to happen.

I havent been getting many comments on my blogs lately and I assume its becuase I've been posting 8 paragraph novels so I'll try and keep this one short ![]()
Some of you may know that I relocated to Cleveland Ohio over the summer for some work, I'm glad to say I have more work waiting for me back home so I'll heading back sometime in the beginning of next month.
In the way of gaming on the other hand, I've heard alot about Farcry 2, some praise it some hate it. I think I fall more in the latter though, the game was never really fun for me and was more of an exercise in patience than anything else. I'll Grant you the graphics were pretty but thats about where my enjoyment ended, the guns have pathetically short range and it seems most of your enemies have superhuman senses where they can pick you out in the dead of night from a hundered yards if you so much as fondle a piece of grass the wrong way. Cars were one way to go in the way of getting you across the vast African plains/jungles but the fact that any enemy you pass will start shooting you on sight and your car has all the durability of a paper airplane means you'll be stopping every 5 minutes to repair your vehicle which makes you sit through a 9 second wrench turning animation. All in all, I was pretty dissapointed, I got about 5 missions in, killed all my buddies and started playing Overlord again.
October on the hand cant get here fast enough, with the release of Dragon Age Origins and Alpha Protocol, and then Assassins Creed 2 later in November, the end of my year looks to be completely booked.
The Fate of a Generation.
So, we've all heard the hooplah of this console lifespan thing and I've got some things to say, but before we begin lets look at the facts shall we?
Microsoft Xbox360
Released: November 22, 2005.- Approximately 28 million units sold worldwide.
Current Position: With last years price drop spurring bigger sales, Microsoft has largely acheived what it set out to do with the release of the system: Make the 360 a significant force in the console landscape and capture the online mind share with Xbox Live, Given this it is unlikely that the company would cash its chips in early and release another system before the 360 fully runs its course. However, the wildcard in this thinking could be the console's hardware failure rate. The red ring of death could literally kill the 360 if gone unchecked.
The Company Plan: Microsoft expects this console to last longer than the tradional five-year span, and the company beileves that regular updates to the 360 will push its life past that of the original Xbox and past the five-year mark. "Our consumers have made it clear" says Albert Penello, Xbox senior director of global marketing, "They dont want to buy a new device for several hundred dollars every five years in order to get the best gaming and entertainment experiences. They want one device that can do everything well and grow with them as their needs change. We're not even halfway through the Xbox 360 lifecycle, and we've been able to constantly update the system...somthing that benefits all of us."
My Opinion: To be honest, I was the last to jump on the Xbox ban wagon last gen, when all of my friends were drooling over Halo I was perfectly content to stay with my Gamcube. It wasnt until the release of Star Wars KOTOR that pushed me to buy an Xbox in the first place. Same thing this gen, my first purchase after the wars started was my PS3, and it wasnt until the release of Mass Effect and BioShock that I picked up my 360, so the way I see it is that Microsoft has Bioware to thank for both of my purchases. ![]()
Nintendo Wii
Released: November 19, 2005.- Approximately 50 million units sold worldwide.
Current Position: As the undisputed leader of this hardware generation Nintendo would seemingly be in no hurry to make a successor to the Wii. However, given that the console has considerable graphical ground to make up on its competitors, it's not inconceivable that Nintendo would put out a Wii 1.5 capable of HD graphics. Rumors have already circulated about such a device coming in 2011 . Moreover, although the Wii is a phenomenal sales success, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata recently revealed during a speech to the Foreign Correspondents Club of Japan his belief that in Japan in particular, fans might tire of the Wii sooner rather than later. "The speed with which people get tired of any new entertainment is faster in Japan than in overseas markets."
The Company Plan: Nintendo officials did not talk to GameInformer for this article, but in 2007, president Iwata stated that manufacturers come out with new consoles because they need a "new weapon in the fight against other consoles." He then added, "But today's situation is such that we are not desperate for any new weapons at all."
My Opinion: When it comes to Nintendo I'll be the first to admit that I have an obscenely large chip on my shoulder, I have a bad history with the company. Gaming was really the first hobby I dove into headlong way back when my parents bought me a Gameboy (thats original the big gray one that could stop a bullet) back when I was six years old and I havent come up for air since. Back when the PS2 was still the dominating force in the industry and Xbox was coming on to the scene I stayed loyal to Nintendo as said before when all my friends were wetting themselves over Master Cheif I was still happy to see Star Fox back on the screen. Then the Wii came out, and I know alot of people who felt the same way I did, that we were basically betrayed by Nintendo, after we had stood under the mock and ridicule of people bashing the Gamecube, sometimes in a fanboyish way and somtimes deservedly, we stood loyal still. Then this Wii came out which has been since release ignoring its "hardcore gamer" fanbase, shame on you Nintendo. Thats why I ran back to Sony who welcomed me with open arms.
Sony Playstation 3
Released November 17, 2006.- Approximately 22 million units sold worldwide.
Current Position: Out of all the console manufacturers, Sony is in the most delicate situation. With the PS3 in last place in sales, yet arguably the most powerful of the bunch, there are arguments both for and against coming out with a new Playstation and starting the next console generation sooner rather than later. A price cut and continued first- and third-party software support would only give the system more shelf life.
The Company Plan: Sony has expressed its firm commitment to a 10-year cycle for the PS3, and it believes that the continuing sales of the almost nine-year-old PS2 is the model to follow. Whether or not this means there is overlap between the PS3 and the next system within the PS3's lifetime (such as there currently exists between the PS3 and PS2. and a model Sony has always followed) Sony head of marketing John Koller wouldn't say. When Koller was asked if being second out of the gate next time around scares them. he was confident. "You have to loo at what the competition is doing, but does it dictate the decisions we're making? No."
My Opinion: I've been called a Sony fanboy, but I'm rather pulling for the next gen to start a bit later rather than sooner, the PS3 has only been picking up steam since the launch and I feel that it will only get stronger with more time and more third-party support. That and I really cant afford to shell out another $600 for the next system.

E3 Conference Impressions
Blogs huh? Havent done one in awhile so why the heck not, I'll give it a go round. ![]()
Another year another E3, After lastyears dissapointment I had higher hopes this year which were semi-met.
The best part was now that I happend to be here in Cleveland during the confrences so I was able to watch them live as I have somthing alittle better than dial up.
But here are my E3 conference Impressions.
Microsoft: This seemed to have been just a so-so conference for old MS, and a few things turned me off entirely, for starters whoever chose that mountain dew/urine green
that was invading my eyes the whole time needs to be takin out back and put down old yeller **** Then there was this whole Natal thing,(I swear to God Kudo wasted).
I found to be only slightly gimmicky and just a rip on what the Wii tried and mostly failed to do.
Then we had famed wind-back Peter Monyleux who presented a 12 yr old virtual boy..which I'm sure will do well in several gaming basements, I dont think
I'll elaborate anymore on that. But finally there was a gaming lineup which I'll run down mostly on just what interested me.
(I was alittle dissapointed as to nothing about Mass Effect 2, guess I'll have to wait till next year)
Alan Wake - This game looks completely epic and I cant wait, the only thing that made me alittle apprehensive
was the fact that this game has been in dev for so long, its been what? around 6 years now?
It seems that around 2-4 years is the magic number for games, too long and they stagnate, too short and they feel rushed.
I have high hopes for Alan Wake and will definately keep a close eye on it.
Modern Warfare 2 - I enjoyed the multiplayer for the first, and I thought the campaign had alot of promise and some pretty fun little quirks.
I have high hopes for this game and I was mildly impressed with the visuals of the first mission. The only thing that completely threw me was this,
apparently that guy he was following around at the beginning was Soap Mctavish from the first one, who in the first game (atleast to me)
was made out to be a total pansey, and now they finally let us see his face and he looks like some Norse Viking dude.
AND on top of that, his voice was way too gravelly for a guy called "Soap' I was expecting a more suave James Bond type
character and instead we get this...I'm dissapointed in you Inifinity Ward
Nothing else really caught my eye to cause me to write.
Here's my little nod to Nintendo, I watched 15 minutes and I got so bored I had to jab myself with a firepoker to make sure I was still alive.
After I established my breathing I went and played inFamous...do better next time.
Sony: The very best for last in my opinion, although anyone of you who know me well enough can say that I'm pretty much a PS3 fanboy, And its probably true.
But Sony by far had the most impressive line-up in my mind, here are the games that caught my eye.
Uncharted 2:Among Theives - Uncharted was in my top 5 favorite games of lastyear,and Naughty Dog has always been one of my favorite Dev teams.
The Uncharted 2 demo was absolutley epic, it blew me away. Everything from the detail from the overlook on top of the building to water puddle splashes
were amazing. Right down to the whole fight with the chopper, I cant wait for this game.
AC2 - There were alot of haters for AC1, I dont care, I fell in love with the game and I rank it as one of my favoreit of all time.And everyime I hear about this one it still makes me giddy. ![]()
Final Fantasy XIII - I've always loved FF games, but I'm sick of seeing teasers for this game, just release the thing already.Its almost getting to the point that I'm tired of the game before I even get the cance to play it.
But to balance the bad I've said, the trailer is absolutely beautiful.
Final Fantasy XIV - Sounds good in theory...But I'm not holding my breath.
The Last Guardian - This was one that caught me completely off guard, as they kept saying there werent too many well kept secrets this E3, but I had heard nothing about this.
Ico and Shadow of the Colossus were both amazing and beautiful games, and The Last Guardian looks like it will keep this legacy alive.
God of War 3 - I never did get into the God of War series, not for any distasteful reason
mostly just becuase whenever one was released I had a few other games vying for my attention.
This one however may persuade me to finally play through the series entirely.
So in hindsight...Not the best E3 I've ever seen, but far better than lastyear, Alot of games have my attention and have me downright giddy with excitement.
Xbox Live
Just a short blog here.
Wanted to let everyone know that I have xboxlive up and running again, been playing mostly COD4,Halo 3,and alittle bit of GTAIV. I plan to rent Left 4 Dead today so if anyone wants to add me my tag is Marseed, if you want either leave your tags here or pm them to me.

Ohio...What would you expect?
Yes thats right, I'm now in Cleveland Ohio, land of gray skies.
It really hasnt been too bad though, I've been here a grand total of 3 days and I've already been flipped the bird twice. It's a very different life here than in the south, and I'll admit to you that 10 years of living in east Tennessee has mostly definately changed me. I'm more used to that southern slow approach to life, here everyone is in a hurry to get apparently nowhere, another big difference is people interaction. Back home people are much friendlier and more apt to stop and chat with a complete stranger about the wheather and whatever else may come up, here you try to chat with the clerk in Wal-Mart and they look at you like your getting ready to rob them, ah I do miss dixie life.
But as I was saying I've only worked one day since I got here, we remodeled a kitchen for my cousin's brother's church and I was paid, albeit modestly, for the work I did. after that I'm getting a long weekend thanks to somone who my cousin knows whose getting married so I dont have to return to work until Tuesday. I'll spend the weekend gaming mostly and just being all around lazy, although I'll probably spend Monday looking for a part-time evening job while I'm here to make my money alittle quicker. I do miss home though, I miss seeing my girl, my dogs, my house, my family (maybe in that order
) I miss gaming with my baby brother on Friday nights, and who woulda thought? I actually miss the sound of the cows in the next feild over behind my house in the morning. All in all this is gonna be a stay I think.

Help! (oops)
After an unsucessful four and half months of searching for a steady
full-time job here at home, I've decided to head up north back to Cleveland,Ohio
to do some work for my uncle in his Heating&AC buisness for a few months.
I'll be leaving in about five days, And if all goes as I plan I should only have to be there
five months at the most.
Regardless that isnt the reason for this blog. The point is, for the first time in forever
I'll have a decent internet connection and I plan to do some serious online gaming.
I already own Halo 3 but I really dont care for the online matches,I'll porbably pick up
COD4 but I need some help in the other areas. What I need is some input on what games to
pick up, I wont have a decent gaming pc so games like WOW and the like are out for now.
But I was looking into the console MMOs like Age of Conan,and I was wondering if anyone
had played these and if they were worth picking up. I'll have both my Xbox360 and PS3 but I'll
probably spend most of my time on Xboxlive. But if you want you can either post your tags and
whatnot here or pm them to me.
So please by all means, Leave me some suggestions cause I'm drowning here.
*edit* my bad...apparently I'm alittle behind in my gaming news. I had thought Age of Conan was already released. As far as I can find there really are no MMO RPGs on any of the consoles so it looks like I'm stuck in the world of shooters until I can pick up my laptop. So I looked into MGO and I think I'll pick that one up and possibly WaW, we'll see. And Jono the issue with being on PSN is I really dont have any decent PS3 online games ![]()
APB on Havok
So...Interesting Story I got here...
Went to Church with my parents lastnight, on our way home when we were still about 15mins from our house we blew a tire out, And because my father, being the absolute genius that he is, (I say that with an exremely sarcastic bite if you dont know the issues between my father and I) didnt have a spare. So since we were about a half mile from my boss' house I decided to walk back there, I've been friends with their daughters and with the whole family for a fewyears now so they typically wouldnt hesitate to help. Anyway I ran the half mile in about 6 1/2 mins (thats in khakis a dress shirt and Rockports,so I impressed myself ok?
) once I got there his truck was gone so I assumed he and his wife were still at church (we go to the same church) but his daughter's car was there so I assumed her and her sister were there, both of whom I've been friends with for close to 5 years now. So I knock on the door, Ring the doorbell a few times and then when there was no answer I just gave up and left. I get back to my parent's van, pull off the shredded tire, then here comes a state trooper driving by (keep in mind I live in the friggin sticks and this a boonie road like you could not imagine) and he stops and asks me if I've been knocking on doors, of course he seemed skeptical at my story. (the damn tire is right friggin there!!) Dad comes out and starts talkin to the guy, so he gets me in the back of the cruiser and takes me up to their house to see if they know me, and for the first time in my life I was scared to death of a16yr oldgirl who wanted to kill me for scaring the living hell out of her ![]()
All in all...A fun night I suppose

There's some great wisdom in some of these words, and it seems that no one talks this way anymore, its sad really. Maybe if we had a few more thinkers some more problems would be solved.
The Day After. (And some gun statistics!)
Well, I had a great birthday, got to see some friends I hadnt seen in a long time. thanks to having about 5 adopted Grandmothers I've had enough cake to send me into a sugar coma. All in all its been a great weekend.
But while at dinner with a friend lastnight he and I were having a discussion on firearms, and as some of you might know I'm somthing of an enthusiast on the subject having learned to shoot at a young age and winning a few marksmanship competitons in my county. I get alittle bit annoyed with some people who rant and rave about disarming the populous, Our constitution explcitly states "the right to keep and bear arms".
Granted I'm not in any way downplaying gun safety, I think its only responsible when teaching somone to handle a weapon to also teach them to handle it safely.
So after crunching some numbers let me throw some statistics at you.

(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are

9,000 times more dangerous than guns.
FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT
ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

My Birthday
Quick blog here, but yes today is my 19th birthday, Havin dinner with my family tonight. And a few of my friends are coming home from college for spring break so I'll be hangin with them this weekend.

Characters I Relate to 2 (pt 1)
I've written one of these blogs in the past and it got some pretty good comments, and alot of people seemed to like it. So I thought I'd do a second one and break it into 2-3 parts doing atleast 2 characters per post. And if you didnt see my last one, what I try to do with blogs like these is not choose characters to say things like "I'm most like solid snake just because I'm that bad ass". I actually try to choose some that actually remind me of myself at times and that I can see myself in.
So without further ado my first two.

Name: Phil Bagzton.
Game: Freedom Fighters.
Summary: "Talk is cheap" Says Phil Bagzton "Thats why I do it constantly dude". Phil, to hear him tell it has been kicking soviet ass for ten years, even though the invasion just began. He's a man of many,many words, whose fighting efforts, despite thier ineptitude are appreciated by the resistance.
Phil began boxing at the age of thirteen, not as a form of athletics but as self-defense from his abusive father. His fists never served him well and he eventually learned to talk his way out of most situations. The rest of Phil's family fled to California at the start of the invasion.
How I Relate: I think it's alittle obvious why I chose Phil. He's one of those rare characters that seem to match my personality perfectly. Everything from his cynasism, to his learning to box only to learn he's not that great a fighter, straight down to his snarky and always plentiful one-liners. I firmly beileve Phil and I were seperated at birth. ![]()

Name: Jansen Friedh.
Game: Lost Odyssey
Summary:A lover of women and wine (and easily influenced by both) Jansen has fallen in and out of love with more women than he can remember. A man of instinct rather than thought, his recent wandring led to him to Uhra where he was hired by counselman Gongora.
How I Relate: Much like Phil, Jansen is very much a talker first and a fighter second. That reason alone is what led me to choose the two of them. Although Phil's personality in general suits me alittle more, Jansen's work ethic and approach to problem solving, such as, using guile rather than brute force, was very much "me". Granted Jansen has been givin alot of bad rep due to his drunkeness and womanzing (which isnt me at all
). He was even nominated in the top ten "biggest dorks of 2008" in an issue of Gameinformer.
But I still find Jansen to be one of the most endearing and original characters to grace a true Japanese RPG in a long time, and I think he's one of those characters we can all relate to in one way or another.
I'll see about getting pt 2 posted in a few days, I have two more planned out and I'm working on it now, but beyond that I'd like to have atleast two more to finish it out, Kinda just makin this up as I go.
GDC and Some Random Thoughts.
Well its like 11pm, too early for bed and I cant remember the lastimeI was this bored.
I havent been blogging much lately mostly just because theres been nothing interesting to post.
I did try to watch most of the GDC coverage, not too much really that I saw to get me that excited. although the X-Play coverage had some interesting stories, for example the team behind the unreal engine demonstrating some of their new lighting technology was pretty impressive. They also had a pretty good interveiw with Hideo Kojima, but for some reason I just cant seem to bring myself to beileve anything he says. ![]()
I did pick up a copy of Bladestorm:The Hundred Years War at gamestop the other day.(sorry Sparda they were all out of RE5) But I was shocked just to have found it, it was released sometime in late '07 I think and then it was cancelled shortly thereafter, I had never been able to find one till now.
Its not too bad all in all considering Koei isnt known for their tactical chops, graphics are alittle last-gen, voice acting is god-awful, gameplay is somewhat repeating but the long list of units keep different options open and can keep theaction fresh. And the story is cookie-cutter Koei writing from a crackerjack box but still good enough to keep me interested, I'll see about getting a reveiw posted once i beat it.
Lastly, As for my next blog I'm thinking about doing a sequel to my blog of videogame characters that I relate to, I'd also like to do a blog possibly on movie characters or somthing like that who can be related to. I'am not exactly sure if I want to do it on movies though, Any suggestions?
1 Year on GS...(If you remember me that is)
Hey everybody how's it goin, Its been alittle while since I've been on, tho I've kept in contact with a few people via MSN. I'd say its been about 3 months since my last login back well before thanksgiving, alot of stuff went down then once everything settled the motherboard in my PC fried, I did however recently replace it (obviously) took me so long because I really couldnt afford it and as much of my life is spent online it was way down on my budget list.
Anyway, I'm down in Vero Beach Florida at the moment posting this blog on a public library computer (scary thing i know) But I should be heading out tomorrow morning to make it back home. I've been here about 10 days now originally came down with some friends and my old boss thinking maybe we had some work to do, turned out it was just my boss getting paid but oh well it was a vacation and I'm not complaining.
And lastly, as above mentioned this will mark one entire year on Gamespot for me, I know I spent alot of time away but I expect atleast a few of you remember me (atleast Graeme and Sparda from MSN) and a few more should remember my short career as the worlds most dangerous pastry chef ![]()

My Brush With Death. (The complete story)
Ok I realize I wasnt too clear in my last blog about exactly how everything went down. I was riding with a friend of mine (the dude with the fractured arm) he was driving and it was his '87 Dodge pick-up that we were in. We were clipped on the rear driver's side by a woman in a mini-van who was goin pretty fast apparently, we never saw her but thats what the witnesses were saying. Anyway, we got slammed pretty hard and ended up rolling over into a ditch, I climbed out and brushed myself off completely fine, couldnt even tell I was in an accident. The driver though was bleeding from his cheek,had a fractured arm as afore mentioned, and a mild concussion.
Then after all that we got picked up by the ambulance who made us go to the hospital to get checked out, once they cleared me I had to talk to the cops sign the police,sign the report, blah blah blah. Turns out the woman who hit us was driving on a suspended license so they had to make a big ado about it. All said and done we were in the hospital for around 5 hours until they cleared my friend who then had to deal with the cops himself.
While all this is going on somhow my Mom was contacted and she frantically began calling EVERYBODY. And if you were to know my friends and family you would know that they can pass the simplest story among themselves without completely butchering it and exaggerating it hundreds of times over. And somehow one of genius relative decides to call my 78 year old aunt who suffers from dementia and tells her that I was in an accident without having all the details, the poor woman sat there for 2 hours thinking I was paralyzed.
So I've spent the last few days calling around and dealing with my insurance company who was trying to make me pay the bill from when I was checked out at the ER. And I spent about an hour on the phone with my aunt trying to convince her that I was still alive and walking, and that I'd still come visit her next month for Christmas.
And after all that I still need to vent somthing else...
When we rolled I somehow landed on my side and crushed my Ipod.
And its completely dead no repair could breathe life into it again, But alas the good die young. It went but my $30 Tracfone survived without a scratch, I'm dead convinced this thing could stop a bullet. But that means with my next pay-check I'll have to skip the games I wanted to buy and replace my Ipod. My morning jogs are far too quiet without it.
Dodge-o-Death
OK, Obviously the blog-gods are against me tonight, I've tried three times to write this and everytime somthing interrupts me. So while I have the chance I'm gonna type out this short quick one and give you the details later on.
As a few of you mighta noticed I havent been around for a few days, I was in a car accident I'm fine though, not even a scratch I'm happy to report. Unfortunately my buddy who was driving wasnt so lucky he came out with a fractured arm and a mild concussion. But its been a hassle the last few days dealing with a police report, the insurance company and their crap,and the long list of mis-informed Family/Friends who all think I'm dead.
Anway I've cleared up most of it and I should back to normal activity around here soon.
