The damage is done.

Estimated cost for games for the rest of the year.
I'm officially a Manticore!
Got the Wii tonight along with Resident Evil 4 .I never got to play RE4, so it seemed like a natural buy and at only $30, it's a deal. My friend is going to let me borrow Zelda TP and Metroid Prime 3, so that should keep me busy till Mario Galaxy. My wife and I actually laughed our butts off playing Wii sports together. Now that I have all consoles I wont miss out on any games and all are free game in SW's.
Upgraded to 10mb cable :o
I upgraded over the weekend, got the VOIP phone too. My internet tested at 2213.8 Kbps on my wireless laptop, not bad!
Halo3 9.5 GOTY canidate CONFIRMED
Well thats 3/3 for MS, Bungie and the Halo series. That at the very minimum gets Halo3 into the game of the year race. I can not wait till tonight to pick up this game! Thank you Bungie and Microsoft for giving us such and enjoyable gaming experience we know as Halo3, it appears your hard work and efforts have paid off.
Done with a game?
Over the last few weeks I have encountered a new phenomenon or at the very least, a new one to me. I've recently inquired 15 games because my friends and relatives were 'done' with them. My thought process was going haywire when I was given games that are not even 6 months old. My question to myself is, "How can you be done with a video game?" I have beaten many of my games a number of times and I would never get rid of them for just for the fact that I've beaten them. Trade in value is almost robbery these days and it would not settle well with me getting back pennies on the dollar.
I buy games because I know ahead of time it will be something I will enjoy for a long, long time. I currently have games as far back as PS1 and I regret I don't have my NES anymore. I still get a kick out of playing PS2 and Xbox games even though I have a 360 and PS3.
It is my personal opinion that games never go out of style. They age like fine wine and at times get better with age. I will continue to take my friends games and be more than happy to. I know their real worth and it's a shame they don't.
