Miyamoto Saves Nintendo

Nintendo looked doomed after its poor conference at E3. But who could save Nintendo from complete failure? the same man who saved them dozens of times before, Shigeru Miyamoto; the man, the myth, the legend. Matt from IGN interviewded him at E3 and got tons of information on upcoming games. He said that he has two teams working on Zelda games. He also said that a new Pikmin was in the making. In fact, i heard from another site that Pikmin was officially confirmed by Miyamoto. The only problem is that we don't know whether its for the Wii or DS. He was even asked about Kid Icarus but said that he doesnt produce that game so he couldnt comment which either means that a game is being produced but he cant talk about it or that he has no idea if a game is being produced. At the end of the interview he even was joking about making a Super Mario Galaxy 2. Here is a link to the interview but I didnt get a chance to see it yet so if there is in fact something wrong with it just go to youtube.com and type in "Shigeru Miyamoto 2008 Interview".

Nintendo Conference = Big Letdown

I was all hyped up. I was ready for the best conference ever. Then Nintendo presented that piece of crap to me.I didnt watch it on TV I did the Gamespots live blog because the TV station E3 is on wasnt working. The only good games were that they announced a GTA for DS, Spore Creatures DS, Animal Crossing revieled (surprise). There was a cool thing called Wii Speak for Animal Crossing that is a speaker that picks up all the noise in your room and sends it to people on Wi-Fi. Shaun White demos his Balance Board-compatible Wii exclusive which was kinda cool but kinda corny (At least they got a bigger star than Duffy). And there was also a game called Wii Sport Resort which is weird because it really doesn't have sports at all, its more like Wii Play. It has jet skii and sword fighting that uses the Wii Motion Plus. It even comes with a Motion Plus and Wii Jacket. But the biggest letdown was that instead of announcing a Zelda, Kid Icarus, Kirby, Pikmin, or Donkey Kong; they spent most of the time talking about Wii Music. It is a stupid game that all you do is play music. You dont even have to hit notes like you do in Guitar Hero or Rock Band, instead the song plays for you. The only difference you can make is what instrement you play by the way you hold the Wii mote. They didnt make any huge announcements, there biggest games were Animal Crossing and GTA DS. I was expecting more and was terribly dissapointed.

Microsoft Press Conference

Microsoft held there annual E3 press conference today at 1.30 pm ET.I watched it on G4? They started with a trailer of Fallout 3 which was okay but could have been better. Then followed a Gears of War Gameplay Footage which was excellent. At the end of the gameplay, there was a cutscene where there was an injured brumak and they decided to ride it and said "if they can ride it why cant we". The majority of the conference was about X-Box Live and the new dashboard. The 360 will have a new dashboard and on the gamertag you will be able to create an avatar just like a Mii that you can play as in various games. There was also a Viva Pinata 2 and Banjo Kazooie; Nuts and bolts trailer. Then they showed a bunch of X-Box Live games like Scene It, 1 vs 100,Geometry Wars and one of the biggest surprises and best downlodable; Portal: Still Alive. Even though it is a downloadable game, it was still a huge announcement.. There was a guest appearance by the singer Duffy as she played a music-based game called Lips. I was unnimpressed honestly. Get someone better than a crappy one-hit-wonder to sing for an audience of gamers in one of the worlds largest conventions. They also announced that resident Evil 5 will have online co-op and shown some gameplay footage of that. But the biggest announcement had to be that Final Fantasy XIII will not be a PS3 exclusive and will come to the 360 as well. Overall it was an allright conference. I just think they spent a little to much time talking about X-Box Live.

E3 Starts Tomorrow.

E3 2008 will kick of tomorrow with the Microsoft Press Conference. Nintendo and Sony will have their conferencesTuesday. If you want to go to e3 you are out of luck because it is closed for the public for the second year in a row. But you could create a video game website or magazine so you could be granted permision into E3. Or you could watch it here on Gamespot. But if you would rather watch it on TV you could watch it on G4 around 1 or 2 o'clock pm. G4 will televise all the conferences and floor reports all week long. I hope Nintendo will announce a whole lot of new software and a new handheld (I'm getting tired of the DS) and I heard Microsoft may announce a handheld. I hope to hear more on Animal Crossing Wii. I will be watching E3 all three days and blog about everything that amazes me ( prepare for alot of blogs).

I'm Finally Back

I went on vacation for the fourth of July a while back. Today is the first day I have been on the internet for 11 days. I'm sorry I haven't been on any of your blogs lately. I will try to catch things up. So what I really want to know is what happened since I was gone. Has there been any big video game news? I haven't heard any news yet. And for some strange reason I have no updates and I have been gone for 11 days. Please inform me. I'm going to go go check out some of your blogs right now.
