My New Level of Sad: Parts 3 & 4
My New Level of Sad: Part 1 & 2
Um...so...I got bored today. My friend showed up at my door (she's much younger) and said "My teacher told me to draw a geometry comic!" She showed me hers. (She's an amazing artist btw.) So...I promptly thought up this...um...yeaaahh...

I. Hate. Land. Surveyors.
First thing you might want to know about me. I don't use cars very much. I find that paying for gas severely decreases my income. Furthermore, I find that I've become somewhat less "athletically built" these past few months. So as a remedy, I've decided to bike everywhere I need to.
And so...I'm looking online for a comic book store. (Due to the fact that the Runaways issue 16 has come out.) I find one that's about 8 miles away. So I hop on my bike, tell my sweet where I'm going. She shakes her head in exhasperation saying I have an unhealthy addiction to comic books, is about to go one and then stops saying that she has no further comments. But she does not stop me. So i'm off, biking 8 miles. I look around when I arrive at the spot, walk into seven eleven and ask where this place is. The guy at the counter says "west? That's in the opposite direction!" I groan head back about 3 miles before going to the library and checking it up. Never. Ever trust the Seven Eleven guys for directions. I was right to begin with. So I bike about 3 miles back to where I began and start looking around for the building.
And what do I see? ...In place of a glorious haven of comic books, there is a land surveyor building. And so. I head back. My trip was aprox. 22 miles long. In 90 degree weather.
And when I got home, my "dearest" proceeded to laugh at my misfortune. *Sigh* The plus side, I did get my comic book.
Arranged Marriage for Humblah?!!!!!
...so...
I'm officially creeped out. My parents have this friend, see, and they have a son. Their son is 4+ years older than me, already graduated with a REALLY, really well paying job. He's 6 something, fairly tan and I've known him since I was little.
And I think my parents are trying to set me up with him. Whenever we're in the car, my parents are always saying "Isn't he so handsome? He's more handsome than anyone in your school." And whenever we're at get togethers, they and everyone else are trying to force us to sit together at the table.
...?! I hope it's just my imagination. I sincerely hope so.

X-men III: The last BOOOOOOOO.
...
And I really, really liked the first two. GRAH!
Yes, I'm one of those geeks who would flock to the opening in an X-men costume. Namely, Rogue. But due to circumstances beyond my control (read: eating ice cream with my two bestest friends) I was unable to go until much later. But enough about that.
I must say, it had me going for a little while. I liked a lot of it. UNTIL THE FRIGGIN END.
*Spoilers*
Rogue, Mystique and Magneto take the serum to cure themselves of their mutant gene. BOOOOOO. Ok, well, I'm not going to get angry at them for not being accurate. They took the entire "cure" thing from the comic books (Astonishing X-men I do believe if not an early one.) But still, seeing three of my favorite people lose their powers...not fun. I'm not sure if Rogue would take a cure if she had one but I can safely say, I wasn't happy about her taking it to be with Iceman. Where is Gambit when you need him? Not to mention the people who died. Is Scott alive? Is he really dead? WE DON'T KNOW. And Xavier dying (...i stayed for the credits so don't worry.) that was expected but stupid.
*Spoilers end.*
All in all, it was decent enough...if you're not a fan of the comic books. *Sigh* I'm going to go drown my sorrows in the Runaways....
