9/11: Seven Years Later
Seven years ago today, America was attacked on our home soil. Four commerical airplanes were hijacked into the World Trade Center, The Pentagon, and one crashed in Philelphia, PA. Sadly, I have not heard much that tragic day by people around. I have not really watched TV today so I don't know if it is being talked about. I will never forget the day and I hope you will not to. I ask of you to take a moment of silence of your time to remember the heroes and people of that day. Thank you.
All Work and No Play
I have been quiet for the last two weeks because I started up my first semester of college. I am attending Daytona State College if anyone knows the school. I am currently taking Chemistry I, Calculus II, and English Composition. The chemistry and calc also has a lab with them. I have had lots of work to complete which has keeping me busy. It took me about the first two weeks to get situated with the new schedule after being in high school. Despite the extra work, I wouldn't want to back to high school. I like the change in schedule and taking classes that I like. I am going to school for pharmacy.
Besides the serious matter of life, I did happen to pick up one game. I purchased a used Rogue Squadron II for the GC, only $7
. I saw RS III Rebel Strike in stores, but I wanted to play the second in the series first. The second game is all based on flying several ships from the Star WArs series. The missions vary. The controls are well put together with great gameplay. The game also a good challenge with the missions and medals. This game is tough. I kinda forgot what a hard game is like.
Well, I think I will play some Rogue Squadron.
Best of luck to everyone back in school.

Games Galore: Rented and Owned
Lately, I have been playing lots of games. My sister and I decided to a Gamepass at Blockbuster to check some games for the Wii and DS. For the Wii, I have tried Okami, NiGHTS, Zack and Wiki, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Tramua Center, and more to come.
For the DS, I have rented DK Jungle Climber (a game that closely resembles the SNES days), Professor Layton and the Curious Village, and Rune Factory when it comes in. The games that I have enjoyed mostly are Okami, Jungle Climber, and Professor Layton. I am going to get NiGHTS again because I didn't play that much. I am running out of ideas for what games to get. I want to try Boom Blox, but it is always out.
I also plan to try a baseball game because I am a baseball buff.
Amongest this, I did pick my first ever GBA game for my DS. I came across The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap. I had to play $25 for the game. I quickly bought the game because I don't see it stores very much. This reminds me of Link to the Past. I also picked up a Wii Points Card. I downloaded Defend Your Castle (addicting) and the Internet Channel. I have 1200 points left, but waiting to use it. I might get Star Fox 64 next. Besides all this I still several unfinished games.
Well, I start college the 25th of August. I am going to game as much as I can until then. Game on!

Video Games Live!
Blog post in awhile, but I haven't had much to say. That Microsoft and Sony blog along with my top 5 or 10 E3 games never happened.
In the recent weeks, I did pick up a sweet album titled: Video Games LIve Vol. 1. This a soundtrack of the best games ever made. The songs include God or War, Halo, Myst, Kingdom Hearts, Medal of Honor, and much more.
It is a cover that you can't miss. However, the game isn't really on shelves in stores. I had to special order the CD through FYE. They were very good about ordering it. The CD is great and another to my video game music collection.
You can listen to :30 samples at Bestbuy.com for free if you are interested. I even provided the link to listen to the samples: Video Game Lives.
BTW, the days of summer are dwindling and I got a game pass at Blockbuster to check some games. I first got Zack and Wiki, and Okami. They are now a both want for me for my collection. Okami has that Zelda feel just like my friend Josh, LionHeart08, told me. You were right.
The controls for the game take some time getting used to though, but the game is great otherwise. Zack and Wiki is a great puzzle game and great story that uses the Wiimote very well. Feel free to suggest any games that I should try with the pass. Any Wii games or DS games will do.
Later.

E3 2008: In Depth Look at Nintendo (Must Read Articles Inside)
The E3 Summit and Business 2008 has come and gone probably leaving most of us very disappointed this year. E3 has changed from what we have known it. Now it is a very small with the media only allowed. Today I will take a deep look at Nintendo's Conference and plans for the rest of the 2008 year. I will discuss Microsoft and Sony in another blog later.
I was present for Nintendo's conference which left me very disappointed. I was hoping for a Zelda teaser by Nintendo or something to look forward to like Star Fox, Mario, Kid Icraus, or Earthbound. Yet, we only hear about Animal Crossing: City Folk, CoD 5, Star Wars: Lightsaber Duels, and Rayman Rabbits (again
). We also heard a lot more about stats by Reggie and what is driving Nintendo's market. We also heard about the two Wii title games: Wii Music and Wii Sports Resort. Reggie left to say that AC is a hardcore title, but not everyone was satisfied. We also get a confirm for Pikimin 3 by Miyamoto. As the days of E3 moved along, my view of NIntendo and their ways changed to why they are doing this. I was very disappointed until I find some reassuring articles.
First to say, E3 is has completely changed and I fully realized that this year. This event is very well covered that it reached my local newspaper and mentioned Nintendo's plans. E3 gets a lot more attention than we think. Therefore, the Big Three have present differently. Miyamoto talked to MSNBC about E3 and how they view it differently than before (all you need to read is the second question asked by MSNBC). We know that Nintendo has greatly attracted casual gamers into the market. E3 now represents more of a business marketing trying to sell their product. I think Dad, Mom, little sister, and Grandma want to read about Wii Music than reading the ghoulish details on Mad World. E3 is a chance for the companies to announce hardware, media features, and latest technology to their conference. Basically, the company has to appeal to everybody including to hardcore gamers AND non-gamers. During the press conference, Reggie said, "teams are hard at work on new Mario and Zelda games. I figured that already, but unfortunely we didn't see any footage of said games. Later I discovered that MIyamoto also confirmed that Mario games are in the works. Besides this, I came across that not one, but two Zelda games are being worked on as well. It was obvious that Nintendo has more games in development. Nintendo has always been hush hush about their works. I am willing to stick it with Nintendo. I hope my discussion about Nintendo may have easied some worries.
Thank for reading!
Thanks for sticking it out and I plan on doing an additional blog on Microsoft and Sony. I also plan on doing a top 10 or top 5 games that I liked at E3. Game on!
