I made a mistake on my last blog. I have a list of video game chars, anime chars, and the combined list. I took Sephiroth off of the video game list when Ichigo should've been in place of Seph. Before I begin this parody, pay Kleeyooka visit at his blog which this is modeled (and improved upon ) on.

This list IS in a particular order.

Specifically FFX as opposed to FFX-2.

Like many good things, it ended just as it was getting great. I finally had full control of almost every power, nearly everything unlocked, the story was picking up, when all of a sudden, there's the final boss. All of my predictions were incorrect, and I got quite the slap to the face when the truth was revealed. I can already see how being Evil would drasticially change the course of the story, much much moreso than just the gameplay. I can't wait to replay it Evil, but I'm done for the night.

Also, I think that the two sides compliment each other; they complete one another as opposed to contrasting.

Well, I'll start from one of the first things I remember. After I beat the first level, I got a message that said, "Based on your performance, the difficulty setting has been changed to HARD." I started on medium, but that didn't last long. I went the goody-two shoes route (I even have a Trophy called "Goody Two Shoes" which you earn from reaching full positive karma), as I find it easier to be nice to people, and healing the fallen citizens is much faster than Bio Leech. Although the Evil power, Arc Lightning, looks much better than Overload Burst, the Good power, I still went to the Light Side.

Speaking of Light Side, this game comes across to me like a mix of The Force Unleashed (super-powered buzz cut walking around a God forsakensetting) and some Spiderman because there's quite a bit of building scaling (with some touches of Crackdown). As for the engine, there are enough glitches to notice and take away from the game in my opinion. Enemies frequently glitch through walls (prob corners) into areas either totally outside of the mission areaor unaccessible all together. Also, the platforming is TOO EASY. Cole grapples right onto anything in the way, which is helpful for scaling buildings, but makes trying to descend or land on the ground a B***H. The powers are pretty unique; even rehased techs. are presented with new additions and modifications, and the moral karma choices help add some depth to the already interesting story. One personal favorite aspect of the game to me is the vast amounts of RPG-elements in an action title. It's one of the thousand+ reasons I love DMC3/ DMC3: SE (my third favorite game of all-time, and favorite non-RPG), and it only helps inFAMOUS. Nearlyevery action rewards you with a small amount of experience which you can spend on advancing techs. and powers such as increasing your Defense, strengthening your melee, or souping up your Shock Grenade(my three favorites). The number one adrenaline booster for me is that fact that Cole is powerful, but not invincible. You can drain electricity from nearby objects to restore health and energy. Since you don't have a health bar or indicator of any sort, you have to wait for the screen to become grey then heal before you die. You have to scan for sources of electricity using L3 (until you know what they look like, of course) which'll cause objects to pulse with static and your radar will have a lightning bolt for the numerous units to replenish at. I also like that you can aim with either hand by clicking R3, although there's a reason it's called the right hand. One more thing, there are enough side mission to keep you distracted for a decent amount of time.

When inFAMOUS works, it'spossibily the best next-gen I've played, but the inconsistencies prevent it from it's full potential.

EDIT: I just got Polarity Shield... I'm in awe. It doesn't take energy and you can run, fly, and drainwith it. It's one of the most well-developed aspects in gaming I've ever seen. Cole obviously only has two arms, so if you're climbing, you can't move and hold the shield out, and you need one hand on the structure, so you can't drain, hold the shiled up, and grip the pipe. It sounds overpowered, but it only deflects minor fire, rockets and other explosives will break right through it like it isn't there. The entire power makes perfect sense.

With Final Fantasy Dissidia, XIII (all types), and now inFAMOUS, I think it'sa destinct possibilty that gaming is making a comeback.

Final Fantasy VII is now available to download on the PlayStation Network. My discs one and three have been unusable for years, with my disc two not being the best condition, so I'm happy to fork over $10 for this masterpiece!
