Micheal Graves - Punk Rock Is Dead
Science ****
Another Blog Post As A Result Of Severe Boredom.. I'm sorry.
After doing homework for about 2 hours I've gotten 1 out of about 5 things done, which is really sad.
I'm thinking about leaving all of my homework to tomorrow and just go upstairs and watch Gilmore Girls or the movie Bruce Almighty. ORRR I could watch my AFI concert dvd for the 5th time this week!
If I really wanted to I could just stay on here and keep reviewing albums and listen to My Chemical Romance like I am right now. I LOVE My Chemical Romance.. I've loved them for 2 years and I'm not tired of them yet.. I'm so happy!
This is pretty good for me because I can't really like a band for a very long time. But, I've liked Good Charlotte for about 3 or 4 years now, so I guess its possible. I've liked AFI for about 11 months now and they have 7 cds and they're still going strong so I think I found them for a reason.. they're probably going to be a lifetime favorite band for me. They're so awesome
First Blog Entry.. woo woo!
Well.. I was just sitting here in my computer chair doing my homework when I thought SCREW THIS! I'm going on www.mp3.com.. I have no idea WHY but I did.
I'm currently listening to Fatty Shatmas by AFI from their 1996 album Very Proud of Ya. Any lover of punk will admire this album at least slightly.. and if they don't I'm gonna find them and kick their asses because this ROCKS! Anyway I'm gonna go now and list more bands I like! bye
Recent Reviews
Freaks In Uniforms: 10/10, Sweet song, it somehow captures the energy of the band and just transforms it into this.. anthem.
Hit 'N Run: 6/10, Hit 'N Run is one of the more melodic songs on the record, which is cool, but if I were seeing them in concert, I'd rather them play the more peppy songs.. the moshables.
Bring It On: 7/10, A pretty good song. It isn't one of the strongest songs lyrically but it sure has enthusiasm.
It's Been So Long: 10/10, One of the best songs on this record. I love the vocals, love the bass, love the guitar.. I love everything about this song.
Undefeated: 5/10, This is probably the weakest song on the album in my opinion. I.. can't even describe it.
You Vs. Me: 9/10, LOVE IT. The lyrics become "slightly" repetitive after awhile, but melodically, it's all that.
Crawl Straight Home: 10/10, It reminds me of the DARE program from when I was a kid.. I love to reminisce on the days of carefree.. ness.
Trapped: 10/10, The story of my life.. love it.
Walk Like A Zombie: 10/10, Either this or SOB is my favorite song on the album. It's just pure genious.. and they were probably drunk when they wrote these songs! Think of what they could do when they're sober.
Where You Can't Follow: 9/10, Really good song. I wouldn't have chosen it as a single, but what's done is done. Caught In A Blonde: 8/10, Is it just me, or does the title sound dirty?
S.O.B: 10/10, Best melody on the album.. it reminds me of rock'n roll songs of the 50's and 60's for some reason. Patricia's voice is flawless in the song which makes it even more special.
Who's Leading You Now: 10/10, A very good way to end the album. If you haven't already bought it, I suggest you do because this album has changed my life completely. I couldn't picture a HorrorPop-less world.. especially since I keep catching my grandmother humming their songs all the time.. that's just priceless(BUT THE ALBUM ISN'T.. don't download, buy and support the artist.. if you don't, I will track you down and.. then I'll figure something out!) P.S BE AFRAID.. BE VERY AFRAID.
