I finally finished it this game has taken up most of my free time recently thing it was 27-28hrs to complete it, The story was good and there was a big enough variety of characters that I found some to like, and others to wish would bet killed off >_> so basically the game was about Jeanne and her quest to save France from the English but with twist, Deamons and magic armlets

I dont like going into details incase people want to get it themselves but I'd rate it 8/10 It is a fairly easily accessible game for a tactical rpg which is brilliant for me but people who prefer the complex ones may not like it as much.

Currently I'm undecided what to opt for next, I've done the first two chapters of lunar knights which has been good but I think it's a pick up do a chapter put down kind of game for me so I could possibly manage another game at the same sort of time, Valkyria Chronicles maybe.

So thats what im upto in my free time at the moment, probs be on here more once i complete a few more, bye for now.

ok so I looked at the games I wanted and well bought some, maybe too many... I now duno which to play

Disgaea didn't arrive the cheeky seller advertised disgaea but was really selling Jeanne D'arc but similar games and I think Jeanne will be the easier to get into of the two so not really a bad thing but naughty seller >_>

Also got metal gear portable ops plus, basically very similar to the regular portable ops but slight improvements, shame the online servers have been closed for it but I don't think I would have played online due to everyone probabally maxing out there squads by now which would take me months

so thats all for the psp but I'm still on the lookout for tenchu shadow assassins.

I also have Valykiria Chronicles for the PS3 which I'm looking forward to sitting down with, haven't even opened it yet.

Finally my DS purchases got my mum proffessor layton and the curious village and myself Lunar Knights and Final Fantasy IV.

I will be looking out for The World Ends With You and Hotel Dusk I think as my next two DS purchases, From the games I have now I think I'll write a review for Lunar Knights and Valkyria Chronicles as I haven't wrote one in a while and thoes two games both astetically please me xD but if I'm impressed by any others maybe they will recieve one too, or if i'm overly dissapointed for that matter.

One last thing the game Cross Edge has caught my attention from looking for it on youtube I found it plays a lot like valykire profile combat wise and combines characters from different jrpg and other games although being from europe I only recognise about three of the characters myself but I'd recommend any RPG fans take a look at it.

I just ordered disgaea afternoon of darkness for psp, I was looking at disgaea 3 on ps3 but decided against it due to it being the most complex and supposedly weakest story. Other games I am currently looking into are:

Valkyria Chronicles - I was looking forward to this game for ages before its release, but was left somewhat underwhelmed by the demo, so decided to wait for the price to drop... mistake its now become quite hard to get so the prince is riseing (I'm not a fan of turn based stratergy :O I know I just orederd one ) The graphic style of this game looks amazing and supposedly has a good story with an anime being made (maybe released?) to go with it.

Tenchu Shadow Assassins - I'm a huge fan of the Tencu series and still own the two ps1 games problem with Tenchu is after the third game it took a nose dive with sega getting hold of it, and it's last psp outing was terrible with a small draw distance so after around 5ft it was just black which meant you couldn't see any thing... yet the enemies could see you before they even appeared on the screen hardly ideal for a stealth game :/. Luckily though this game has been made by the origional creators (apparently) who have tried to reinvent the game (salvage?) the graphics look great for a psp game, but no grappling hook and combat is said to be near impossible motion sensitive on wii uses analouge stick movement on psp. But thats good in my eyes as the real way to play this game is to never be seen and to strike from the darkness. (definatly keeping my psp for this alone xD)

ok a bunch of games here due to me diliberatly staying in the dark about them as I knew I wanted them xD (all DS) The World Ends Withy You, Final Fantasy 4, Lunar Knights and Hotel Dusk: Room 215. I love my RPG's and games heavily story driven so I think this selection would be worth investing in, also the new valkyrie profile and suidoken (sp?) games were worth looking at but due to some friends reviews/meantions I'm unsure about them. valkyrie for the poor story, and suidoken due to me having no knowlege of the series world. Hopefully most of these are cheap now so I'll beable to pick them up soon but these are my current wish list and I'll give my opinions of disgaea aod after a week or so of playing it.

The blog title is from a moby song, and I feel that it sums up my mood. I have a degree in media which covers some philosophy and law but mainly world events and world wide coverage of information, the corse alone is enough to make a mind like mine a little low as for things to be covered by the media they have to be unfortunate or bad. The principals of newsworthyness alone only cater to bad news for priority. I think its Galtung and Rouge theory of newsworthyness if you want to find out more I could be wrong few years since I studied it and it's late and I don't wanna look it up.

I'm just feeling lots of sadness around me at the moment remembering the attitude of lecturers also brings me down from comments they made while talking about philosophy and probabally bad news as well, saying something along the lines of the working class are unable to be depressed as they lack the ability to understand things indepth enough to become truely depressed about them but as intellectuals we can feel depressed. Now I'd describe my family as working class so this was offensive, but isn't everything these days? Is everyone only out for themselves is that our nature as human beings?

I do two voluntary jobs one for sue rider care and another working with disabled people and horses, but even in these environments there are unkind views frequently spread which kinda caught me off guard that certain people can talk about being bullied the sprot racist comments out of nowhere.

As the newsworthyness states are we as a people only interested in other peoples misfortune and our own happiness?

The current tabloids are covering Jade Goody which in a way illustraits the state of the media, someone famous for having foul language and being fairly offensive due to ignorance that has died from cancer, the event itself is tragic someone dying so young leaving a family, but the same tabloid doesn't show coverage of anyone else struggling with this desease who hasn't offended hundereds of people and has done great things, it's seems no one cares about their stories.

Sorry kinda heavy stuff but on my mind and I haven't blogged in a while.

To put the discussin in context for gamespot theres the readyness for gaming to be publically demonized for warping our minds, again making us fearful or depressed at the thought of a nation of potential killers I mean don't millions of us game? anyway I'll leave it at that...

A more videogamy (not a word :S) blog next time, just seeing the paper got me thinking about these things, don't worry I'm fine I know its kinda a low mood sounding blog but I just wanted to emphisise the mood of the blog counter arguments encouraged

Moby: Why does my heart feel so bad - click

Hello all, been a while since I blogged and also I have a question I figured someone here might know the answer to. Recently I've been watching code geass which is an anime, I'm currently on R2 around ep 4 I love it it's very entertaining but the thing thats bothering me is the prince and princess titles, I wanna know what they mean 'Clovis la Britannia' the middle bit 'la' I first figured was french but others have 'el' 'li' 'zi' 'vi' ruining my theory that it meant the, now I'm thinking either bad translation or I have no idea what the titles mean. Can anyone enlighten me?

So whats the 'n stuff' gna be... well I've pre ordered killzone 2 so I will have a new game to sink my teeth into soon, but am still currently playing on metal gear online mainly because I've made so many friends on it and it's always fun to play with friends, also I read recently that games on the japanese psn are ~half price compared with ours here in the eu, also street fighter hd remix which has been available in other regions for months is only just coming out here 2 days before the release of sf4. Meaning I better get myself a japanese psn

My ps3 gets all my love at the moment and my psp has just become a large usless paper weight, I'm dissapointed it's getting so few games released for it and may trade it in for something that I can actually use. What do you guys think should I hold onto it have I overlooked anything?
