Level 13 - To Infinity And Beyond!!!
Wahey, finally made it to Level 13 after nearly 2 months of Level 12. Hopefully my stay on this level will be slightly shorter. I would love to move on to a higher plain as soon as possible.
I wish I was dead, I've got two essays to do between today and tomorrow. Speaking of which, I should probably go focus on that...

Another one of those Angry Blogs!!! I'm so mad right now!!!
Some smart **** of a moderator, gave me a TOS violation warning saying that my signature was offensive (you know the one of Claire from LOST, Michelle from 24 and Lois from Smallville, that I've had for months) and they deleted it, hence the new Scarlett Johansson signature. But some moderators go on power trips. I'm pretty certain I know who it was aswell. I'll have to keep my distance from the Angel forums in the future, which completely sucks because I had just started the whole 110 episode discussion thread thing. Now I can't even do that. I've gotten 4 TOS violations already today. I'm so mad, I could go Hulk at any moment. If it wasn't for the following calming melody from Duke Special, I'd be on the warpath;
Some mindless violence would go down nicely about now...
Usually, I don't let things vex me, but today for some reason, I've felt like punching anybody who has looked at me funny.
Some people are so arrogant and up their own a**, that they deserve a right kicking every time they open their big fat pie-holes.
What really bothers me the most is people on the internet starting arguments with people in forums that they don't even know. What is the point??? Why bother??? I think the people who start these arguments must have such a sh*t life, that the only enjoyment the get is from being unneccessarily venomous towards people that they've never met. Or possibly that person is the victim of bullying in the real world, so to make themselves feel better, they take out their anger on people who they'll probably never meet and therefore the person they insult will not be able to beat the living snot out of them.
I honestly feel sorry for these sad, sad, little people, but on the other hand I would really love to drop-kick them in the face, if the opportunity arose.
-Cian
PS. My next blog will hopefully be less anger related and more fun, but in my defence some people really need to be taken down a notch or two and people should know that I am a person who is willing to put them in their place and I will not take crap from nobody.
So Long And Thanks For All The Fish (I'm Leaving TV.com)
Well, it's been fun while it has lasted guys, but I've decided to leave TV.com and the internet in general. It just takes up far too much of my precious time. I'm going to focus on my friends, my family and college. It has been nice eeting you all and perhaps our paths will cross again in the future.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

4000 posts, the latest Incubus album, the return of Doctor Who and much more...
Well, I posted my 4000th post today here on tv.com and I'm hoping to get an upgrade to level 13 soon, since I'm at 93% on level 12. I'll miss Evil Bert status, but as some wise guy once said, "The only way is up!" Since the 4000th post is a landmark one, I've decided to do an extra special uber-long blog, so I hope you all enjoy it.
First off, I've been very impressed with the latest Incubus album, Light Grenades, which was released last November, but I only heard it for the first time on Monday.

Usually I have to listen to an album a few times before I can really appreciate it, but Light Grenades is musically compelling and enjoyable from the beginning. It is considerably better than the earlier Incubus albums. Three singles, Dig, Anna Holly and Love Hurts have been released from the album. Here are some of my favourite songs from the album;
Today saw the return of Doctor Who in Ireland and the UK, with the first episode of Series 3. David Tennant, as usual, was outstanding in his role as the Doctor and newcomer Freema Agyeman is to be highly commended on her role as Martha Jones, The Doctor's latest companion. Agyeman is replacing Billie Piper who was companion to the Doctor for two years and even worked with Christopher Eccleston who was the Doctor before Tennant. Agyeman and Tennant work well together onscreen and the relationship developing between the Doctor and Martha is far more interesting to watch than the relationship between the Doctor and Rose (Piper). Smith and Jones the first episode of the latest series was mostly to introduce Martha's character and although was quite enjoyable, it was lacking in storyline, but the rest of the series looks quite promising. Check out this preview of the 3rd series;
I am choosing Fraggle Rock as my favourite retro show of the month. I used to love this show as a kid and began watching some old episodes recently. Gobo, Wembley, Mokey, Red and Boober provided the world with hours of entertainment and Fraggle-tastic music. Since this is a celebratory blog, I've decided to treat everyone with an entire episode of Fraggle Rock and I've chosen the episode, Capture The Moon as it is one of my favourite episodes;
I saw two films in the last week, Blades Of Glory and TMNT.
Blades Of Glory is the latest Will Ferrell movie and this time he teams up with Jon Heder in an hilarious tale about figure skating. Blades Of Glory is up there with both Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy and Napoleon Dynamite. The film also stars Will Arnett, Amy Poehler, Jenna Fischer, William Fichtner, Craig T. Nelson and William Daniels. Blades Of Glory is a must see film. Here's the trailer;
TMNT is a must see for all Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans. Although some critics were wary about the fact that the film was done in CGI, I think it only added to the effect. The film is graphically amazing and really does the original graphic novels justice. The film includes some great voice actors with the likes of Chris Evans, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kevin Smith, Patrick Stewart and Laurence Fishburne adding their vocal talents to the film. Join Leo, Raph, Donnie and Mikey on their biggest adventure yet. Cowabunga Dudes. Here's the trailer;
And finally what sort of celebratory blog would this be, if I didn't mention the infamous Jack Nicholson. What a legend. Not a day goes by when I don't reference the greatest actor of all-time. Here are some of Nicholson's best bits;
Me, Myself and Jack Bauer
I was getting slightly bored with my Sawyer icon, so for now I have changed to the Jack Bauer icon. How long it will last, only time will tell.
The new blogging and messaging system on tv.com is really bugging me today. I don't like it in the slightest, everything is taking a lot longer and the print is a hell of a lot smaller.
Although many people thought it was a terrible episode, I really liked the new episode of LOST, poor Nikki and Paulo, just as I was beginning to like them.
I've been trying to catch up with 24 and have gotten as far as Season 6, episode 4, but now can't find any links for episode 5. Grrr.
Can't wait for the finale of Prison Break on Monday. I hope it will deliver and not let everyone down.
I'm not enjoying this seven week break in Heroes. I need my fix and I need it soon.
As for retro, I've been watching a lot of old episodes of Angel, Fraggle Rock, Kenan and Kel and Star Trek: The Next Generation this week.
I saw both Blades Of Glory and TMNT this week and both were a lot more impressive than I expected them to be. I've still to see 300, but am looking forward to going to see it.
I also decided this week that I'm going to move out of home next September and will hopefully be sharing a house with my friends, Finn, Andrew and Danny.
Can't wait to get back to college next week, the three weeks holidays I've had have definitely been eventful, but I also want to get back to the day to day structure of college life.
That's all from me at the moment, I'm very tired, hence the uncreativeness of this blog. I promise the next one will be exciting, somehow.

The Wise Words Of Brick Tamland
-I don't know what we're yelling about.
-Loud Noises!
-Yeah, I stabbed a man in the heart.
-Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident.
-I ate a big, red candle.
-I would like to extend to you an invitation to the pants party.
-Where'd you get those clothes from, the toilet store?
-I pooped a hammer.
-I pooped a Cornish game hen.
-I love... carpet.
-I love... desk.
-I love lamp.
-I'm Brick Tamland. People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Years later, a doctor will tell me that I have an I.Q. of 48 and am what some people call mentally retarded.
-I read somewhere their periods attract bears. Bears can smell the menstruation.
-I ate fiberglass insulation. It wasn't cotton candy like the guy said... my tummy itches.
-Sorry, Champ. I think I ate your chocolate squirrel.
-Mm. I just burned my tongue.
The Beat of the Drum (A poem I wrote)
The Beat Of The Drum (For Sarah)
by: Cian Taaffe
I
We open up our hearts,
We open up our minds,
We admit our truest feelings,
We reveal our darkest secrets.
II
We drink to good health,
We drink to ones we have lost,
We drink to our futures,
And we drink to ease our thoughts.
III
Death is inevitable,
the answer to life we have sought,
But at the end of the day,
Living is all we can do,
Living for the moment,
For living we have fought.
IV
We shouldn't dwell on the future,
Nor should we dwell on the past,
Living for the moment,
Is the most that we should ask.
V
Love is important,
Perhaps the most important thing of all,
Without love we are useless,
With no reason for living,
No reason for living,
No reason for living,
At all.

Epiphany!!!
Ok so, I've had my first Epiphany of the year. It hurt, but once I got over the initial shock of having had a rational thought, I realised it made sense and I turned over a new leaf. Today, I began to focus on my college work and started to take risks I had never taken before.
This was the first day of the rest of my life!!!
Hot Fuzz!!!
The funniest film in years, 'Hot Fuzz' is up there with 'Shaun Of The Dead' and 'Anchorman'.
You'll laugh your little heart out at this side splitting, pants wetting, eye watering gag fest.
If you miss this film, you'll never forgive yourself.
I won't give much away, but I will say one thing, an old woman gets dropkicked in the face!!!! If that doesn't make you wanna go see this film, I don't know what will.
I wanna go see it again.
