I wreck the myth of Led Zeppelin IV, "Stairway," and everything else you thought you knew about Plant, Page, Jones, and Bonham. Come with me on this mystical journey or whatever.

Before Axl Rose thought he could become the full-on metal Elton John, and long before Velvet Revolver, Rose, guitarist Slash and the rest of Guns N Roses were the best rock band in the world...if only for a short while.

Pavement - Wowee Zowee
Rock/Pop
Rock/Pop
Circa 1994, Pavement were the kings of the new indie rock scene. Along with fellow luminaries/Matador label mates Guided By Voices and Yo La Tengo, Pavement was making the best music of their career in the mid-1990s. Wowee Zowee is proof positive that Pav

Live - Secret Samadhi
Rock/Pop

Hard Rock/Metal
With so many inferior Sabb compliations on the racks, Rhino does a bang-up job on a one disc best of the Ozzy years. And as with any Rhino product, the liner notes are almost as good as the music itself.

Bauhaus - Mask
Rock/Pop
Rock/Pop
If after In the Flat Field folks thought that Bauhaus couldn't get much better, they were wrong. Mask stretches the limits of the band's dark sound, experimenting with every mood under the big black sun. The result is a post-punk masterpiece, albeit one w
