God of War Marathon!

It isn't very often where I get in the mood to do a marathon gaming session but the release of God of War Collection on the PS3 has done just that. I have been playing God of War 1, 2 Chains of Olympus, and the E3 demo nonstop (aside from work and sleep) and have been having a blast! I cannot wait until the release of God of War 3 so that I can satiate my Kratos addiction.

Enjoying Being Back In The Game

I must say that I am thoroughly enjoying being back in the gaming mode and being a regular contributor here on Gamespot. I am looking forward to playing some games online as well but I no longer have a network of friends that play games. Feel free to add me as a friend on Xbox Live or the PSN and I will happily add you.

Enjoying a romp through the past thanks to the PSPGo

I have to admit, I was skeptical when Sony announced the PSP Go with a price point of $250, but now that I have one I have to say that this system has been fantastic. I picked up the 16GB M2 memory card so my system memory would be at 32GB and have loaded plenty of PSP and PSOne games and have found myself reliving the joys of Final Fantasy VII. I know that some people rip this game a new one for having a loose story and spotty gameplay mechanics, but I remember this game being a defining moment in my life. Final Fantasy VII helped to usher in the new age of gaming and establish the PlayStation platform as the dominant console of the 90s/early 2000s. I highly recommend that anyone who loved this game in the past explore it again...it is like a fine wine that gets better with age.

The Ballad is Over...

Well, I just finished GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony and I must say that I preferred this expansion pack over the Lost and The Damned. The characters were much more entertaining and the story kept we wanting to see what Tony, Luis and crew got into next. If you have not played either expansion pack then I highly recommend playing through the Lost and the Damned first and save the superior experience provided by the Ballad of Gay Tony for the finale run-through of the GTA Iv universe. Now it is time to dive into Modern Warfare 2...as soon as I can pick up. Hit me up on-line if you need a partner in co-op. Until next time...

Weirdest dream ever...

So I have been a gamer since I was five years old and my parents bought me the original Nintendo Entertainment System for Christmas. I have spent two decades devoted to gaming and have had many great momnets, many so-so moments, and many WTF? moments. You never know how much those WTF? moments can scar you until you have a dream two decades later.

Last night I had a dream about the ending of Super Mario Bros. 2 for the NES. I remember playing through the game at a young age, frustrated with the difficulty level, constantly having to select different characters based upon the level you were playing. I played that game for hours and hours and finally beat the frog at the end of the gam. I was SO excited! I was so proud of myself in fact that I had to get my mom and show her the credits rolling across the screen in proof that I had defeated this game that caused many temper tantrums and thrown controllers.

In my excitement I noticed that a new screen with Mario was on and I watched in utter dismay as I saw Mario wake up from a dream...had my whole game experience been for nothing? Yes indeed! The entire game was a dream . I spent hours upon hours to beat a dream. I was upset and mad (granted I was 7) and did not want to play another Mario game ever again. Thankfully that sentiment did not last once Super Mario Bros. 3 was released, but I did not know how much this game scarred my young psyche until now...thanks Nintendo for scarring my childhood!

About Me

I have been gaming ever since I was six years old when my mother bought me the classic NES. I am a Private Banker for a large US bank so my time with gaming is limited nowadays, but hit me up online one way or another and I'll definitely get back to you. Until next time.
