Silent Hill

I doubt anybody will be reading this, but whatever. I'm currently playing Silent Hill 4 and an idea ocurred to me: Silent Hill is the best videogame series ever. Most people won't agree, but it's just made for me. The tension, the eerie atmosphere and, that's the best of it, the fact it's supernatural and it doesn't explain itself. That's where SH succeeds where Resident Evil does not (I do like Resident Evil very much, I'm a big fan, but I'm just making a point). Even in the fourth game, we're still figuring out why the events of the first game happened in the first place, there's still plenty of Silent Hill even if the actual adventure is outside the town... It's simply perfect, I can't put it into words. The first one wasn't the best game graphically, but it had a story and scary moments like no other PlayStation game. The second game had an even better story than its predecessor, awesome graphics and great characters - an unforgettable adventure. Unfortunately, Konami hasn't released Silent Hill 3 for the GameCube (I heard they almost released it on the Nintendo platform) or the Xbox (can't understand why the second and the fourth are here and the third is not), so I didn't play it, no opinion on it yet. I'm currently playing the fourth, as I said, and I'm in the Apartment World, loving it. I love the fact that every piece can be put together, nothing's there for no reason. Plus there's a movie coming out, I really hope they won't screw this up like Uwe Boll did with Alone In The Dark, a tradicional horror game which I also greatly enjoyed - all I can do is pray. Silent Hill is still too underrated, not as popular as Resident Evil (which had 'good' movies, but I don't want Silent Hill to be a good movie, I want it to be a 'jaw-dropping' flick)... I'll be forever in love with this town. I hope Konami releases Silent Hill 5 something for the Xbox 360.

Coldplay is, in my opinion, the best group ever. Listening to Coldplay isn't just listening to good songs, iIt's - as I like to call it - a massage for our souls. I'm sure many bands deserve this throne of best ever. You may say The Beatles, Rolling Stones, you name it - the fact is we're dealing with different opinions. I personally don't like The Beatles and find Rolling Stones a very good band, but Coldplay beats those by far, I sense more music energy in them.
Lyrics are quite good, the music is just perfection (not every single song, I don't like Politik, Twisted Logic and A Whisper, for example - but it's like one bad track per album, which is very acceptable, not a demerit). They're not only great musicians, but great guys, always trying to help the poor, making charity just like U2, and that's just one more reason why we should give them their respect.
Parachutes seems to be a cult album nowadays, A Rush of Blood to the Head is a worldwide bestseller and X&Y is way underapreciated if you ask me - it might be because I've listened to those previous albums to death, but X&Y is my favorite.
It is said that a new era of the band is coming, what can we expect? Time will tell.

The Sexorcist Necro
""
From the funky Who's Your Daddy to the kinky Vaginal Secretions, The Sexorcist is an explicit journey through the sex world, with Necro's trademark: kick-ass beats and sick lyrics... It's nice to know he stays true to what he really is, he's not trying to get to MTV and get platinum plaques. As I said before in the artist review, Necro is my pick for best rapper alive and this album is everything but disappointing to anyone. Buy it now.

Necro Hip-Hop
""
Necro is quite simply the best rapper alive. I discovered his music not too long ago and I've been hooked to it badly, it's addictive. He's explicit as hell, kind of disgusting at times and definetly not Eminem pop/rap stuff for kids, he's the real deal. Nobody, dead or alive, has beats like him, not even 2Pac or anyone else... Some rappers are slightly better lyrically, I admit it, but it doesn't mean he's not a lyrical genius. If you're into the rap genre, you MUST listen to Necro. I'm a big fan of the Insane Clown Posse, but Necro is the real underground don.

Book of Shadows Zakk Wylde
""
Every music fan must have their Top 5 or Top 10 records, and Zakk Wylde's Book of Shadows is definetly in my Top 5. The album's melodies are great, most songs are unforgettable and I wouldn't expect this from a headbanger like Zakk Wylde. Thanks to his work, I was introduced to his band Black Label Society and I even enjoyed their work, but I highly doubt Zakk will ever be able to release something this good again. I recommend this to everyone. Remember: it's not heavy metal, it's acoustic.

Legend of Zelda

This is the best soundtracks ever, and I'm not saying game-wise only, but I'm including everything. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is undoubtedly one of the Top 5 videogames of all time, and I give Koji Kondo's soundtrack a lot of credit for this great merit. Every single song captures the particular area's spirit, it's a classical masterpiece. And even though they're all instrumental, there's a great variety of rhythms. If you're a music fan, you just HAVE to listen to it. 5/5
