Happy Mother's Day Everyone!
These past 3 Fridays have flown by! Only on more Moonlight left.
I have been so busy these past few weeks! I haven't had time to post or anything! I still log on and nose around however
I can't miss out on reading some blogs of my friends! I like the humor in some of them, the seriousness in others.
I think that this day, Mother's Day, is a wonderful day to honor all mothers, step mothers, care givers, grandmothers and all women who have a hand in raising the generations past as well as future. Thank you to all women out there! A job well done!
The Long Wait is OVER!!!!! Yea!!!!
Spoilers so don't read any further if you don't want to know!!!!!!!!!!
Moonlight is on tonight! I am so excited! I can't believe it! It's been forever! I know, I know, it's a repeat of the Mortal Cure. The best performances are so emotional tonight. The tears of Beth, the pain of Mick. The evil Lance telling Mick he wasn't supposed to have been turned. The fights, Shannyn's sensational performance sacrificing herself for Mick. I felt so sorry for Coraline! I love Shannyn's character. Josef! He is hiding something I say! Mick becomes human. This isn't my favorite show. Fever is my favorite show! This one, however, will move your soul if you let it. 60 minutes of great action and entertainment await anyone who watches this show!
Next week the new shows start! After reading the spoilers I am not sure I can wait without having heart failure! Every new show looks so exciting. If the network cancels this show after all this I will cry for months I think! Well, maybe not months! Weeks, however! I'm finally out of the darkness and into the Moonlight!
It's been a long time coming! Marie
Ramblings of Marie!
I so enjoyed the new Ghost Whisperer last night. I am trying to decide if I like the new Ned or not. The new Ned seems very mature in comparison to the old Ned. However, I like the old Ned better. That is my judgement at this moment! That could change! A woman's perogative!
I joined in a chat about Moonlight on Yahoo. A nice bunch from tv.com meet in a chat every Friday and discuss Mick (Alex O'Loughlin) and Josef (Jason Dohring
). It was fun. I was directed to a YouTube video titled "The Chair" with Alex. It is a clip from the Shield. It suddenly was hot in the room! I blushed in spite of myself. I am afraid I had to leave the group shortly after that as I was meeting associates in Toledo early this morning!
I was reading on the Medium board that Medium has been picked up for another season. Sunday nights in the death slot however! That is sadly the time slot most of my favorite shows end up in! That's where Moonlight is and where Medium is going!
I am thinking of swearing off that Hey!Nielsen site. I don't think it does Moonlight any good. Medium is buried deep in the back pages as most of my favorite shows.
I am enjoying reading people's blogs on tv.com. I am getting to know people which I enjoy. I like the fact that I can read or discuss things about my favorite shows. I wonder how slow the boards become during the summer - the dreaded rerun season? I will be busy planting, tending and harvesting my gardens beginning with the passing of Mother's Day! I can hardly wait! However, I do like to come here and will continue to do so!
The things I have learned so far while roaming around tv.com
Alex definetely won the man mane contest with TV Guide. He was only 2% away from winning sexiest sci-fi guy when the poll was shut down.
Everyone visits an Internet site called Hey!Nielsen. It is the brainchild of Nielsen. It is the child from hades! I have never willingly gone back to a site so slow! Under normal circumstances I would not go to a site that is obviously so messed up. I am told it's good for the fight since networks see this site. I can't help myself. I have to visit all the pages of the shows I like! I can spend hours on a site that loads so slow!
There is another poll where people are trying to get their shows into the top 40 shows of all time. You can vote once an hour at this poll! Moonlight, my favorite show, is at number 9. No, not in the top 40 instead trying to get into the top 40! This beautifully created show only needs a quarter million votes to obtain that status! I've considered that 10 million votes were cast for Moonlight to win the People's Choice Award so in my mind's eye this could be done quickly! However, the show must be typed in manually. "Moonlight 2007" every hour! I try my best to remember. My memory isn't as good as it used to be! The site's address is TV_Vote Nomination Poll
If I go to the help boards, people are generally very helpful! I learned to submit with the help of some posters. I can spend hours on those boards reading how to and what not to do! When I post a question an answer comes very quickly!
Some boards are very laid back while others are very argumentative. I have enjoyed my interactions with all the members so far! This is a very good place to be to discuss everything about shows. Also, the boards are teeming with information I wouldn't have gotten elsewhere!
Lastly, spell check here doesn't recognize contraction words!
I am excited! Tonight Ghost Whisperer premieres with a new show! I am so relieved that this show is back in production!!!!
Just a heads up on who I am
My name is Marie and I live in farm country in NW Ohio. I am 51 years young and I love to garden! I have one grown daughter who is currently off doing her own thing in Kalamazoo, MI.
I am Moonlight mad! Yes, the addiction to this show has claimed another one! I am quite happy to be addicted, however, so I don't want to be cured! CBS could play fair and announce the second season! I would breathe so much easier!
I am semi retired, due to an automobile accident many years ago. I found this wonderful board back in December, however, lost track with all the holiday festivites and what not. I am glad to be back especially since Moonlight is set to air a new show April 25th! That is only 23 days away!
I love science fiction television so I am happiest when watching shows such as Moonlight, Ghost Whisperer, Medium, etc. I hate reality television! I do, however, guiltily partake in watching Ghost Hunters on the Sci-Fi channel. You will not catch me talking about Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, etc. Those shows aren't for me!
I have two cats and two dogs who keep me company most of the time. I really hope to make friends as I visit the various boards through out tv.com!
This is long enough I suppose! I will close for now! Peace, Marie
