Oh, hai! How is everyone? It's almost been a month since my last blog. You don't have to say that you missed me, I already know. I'm just kidding.

How about we start this blog off with some speculating about why I have been missing in action around here? Is it because
A) I didn't take the trash out, so Laura grounded me and I didn't have Internet access for almost a month.
B) I've been so busy with school.
C) I died and was recently ressurected.
D) I was just lazy.
E) All of the above.

The answer is E) All of the above...except A) and C). School has been hectic. I've had projects, assignments, reports, and midterms all over the place. Last week was the first week I've had in the past month and a half without a midterm. And in two weeks, mid-year exams start. It's okay, though. University exams are ridiculously fun! My last exam is on December 19th. My mom was angry about that. She was so pissed! LOL All the faculties in the university released exam schedules in late September/early October, but the engineering faculty released ours in the first week of November. My mom was frantic by that time because she was still arranging our schedule for the holidays. She was all, "Schedules, flights, schedules, accommodations, schedules, reservations, schedules, schedules, schedules..." I patted her head and said, "It's going to be okay." And you know what she did? She purple nurpled me! I tried to be comforting and I got cruelty in return. Women and their craziness.

Anyway, the second reason is that I've been too lazy to write blogs. LOL Lately, I've been spending most of my time farming, cooking, and shooting colourful moving globs (Farmville, Cafe World, and Bubble Spinner on Facebook). And then I spent most of my time shooting other stuff. Last, last week Modern Warfare 2 was released. I spent hours in my game room playing MW2 in multi-player mode with my friends who are in other cities. It was nice because we got to spend time together, without actually being together. And they say video games make people lose human interaction. We proved them wrong! And then from MW2, I moved on to Super Mario Bros. Wii, then Left 4 Dead 2, then Assassin's Creed II, and then Tony Hawk: Ride. I also threw some DJ Hero, Band Hero, and Guitar Hero 5 in the mix. It looks like I haven't seen daylight in a while, right? Kidding!

I've actually seen a lot of daylight lately. The days seem longer and the weather these past few weeks has been so nice. It was like summer two weeks ago. I wore flip-flops and shorts to school everyday that week. I brought out the metrosexual in me that week, too. I colour coordinated my clothes and I wore different sunglasses to match what I was wearing. Those days are gone, though. We're going back to dismal weather next week. The good thing is that we may have snow on Friday. Yay!

Random stuff I remember in the past month that I've been MIA :

Halloween was a bust. I was in Pittsford, New York that weekend for basketball. After the last game, I drove straight home to join my friends before they passed out from all the "beverages." LOL Kidding! I trimmed the 5-hour drive to 3 and a half hours. Did I run over some things...or someone? I don't know. I don't remember. Kidding! One night, I overheard a guy trying to pick up a girl with the line, "If heaven had a height, you would be that tall."

Yesterday, Shayne called me to tell me that he got new sets of underwear. It's nice that he still keeps me updated with the going-ons in his life.

Mike's university beat my university by 4 points in the football championships. It was a good game! My university's team was pretty banged up. A lot of the players were struggling due to injuries. The quarterback played the game on one knee; his left knee was injured. The team put up a great fight. In my eyes, they lost the battle, but they won the war.

The local transit system is on strike, so there are no city buses running right now. The management offered the bus drivers an 8.5% increase in wages because that's the most they can give. The bus drivers declined because they want a 20% increase. That's just ridiculous! How would the city compensate for that 20%? By increasing bus fares? That would just bring them back to where they are right now, since the public would not receive that move very well. This strike is such an inconvenience and it's stupid. It needs to end soon...or I will punch a baby. LOL Kidding!

This girl, whom I don't really know, but she is a friend of one of my friends, game me a Polo Black. I'm very appreciative of her gift, but I don't know if I'll ever use it. I don't wear Polo, I wear Davidoff.

One day last week, I learned that, even though I am making my way out of my teenage years (I have less than two years to go, since I'm going to be twenteen next April ), I am still subjected to teenage woes. That day I woke up with a zit on my forehead that was so massive, it brought me down to my knees and made me yell, "Why, God? Why?" Kidding! It wasn't big at all, it was just a tiny dot...but it was there...and it taunted me...so I yelled, "Why, God? Why?" Kidding!

Last weekend, my basketball team went to Ottawa and lost two games. I didn't play; I stayed home to write reports and procrastinate by running around and playing under the sun. I had a basketball game last night, which we won, 105-57. I have another basketball game tonight and I plan to demolish the other team as sort of a revenge for their school beating my school in football championships.

I found out that Nina Dobrev is the sister of one of my sister's new friends. I was like, "Introduce me!" My sister laughed and flat out said "No." I'm not going to get her anything for Christmas now. Kidding.

Three weeks ago, I was sick for two days. I had dry cough and nasal congestion. Laura took care of me very well. My dogs usually push me off the bed during the day, so they can sleep on it, but they didn't do that when I was sick. They were very nice to me, as well. My mom came over to the apartment and cooked for me, which was also nice. I was free of sickness after two days...which was sort of unfair because I didn't even miss school. LOL

When my grandmothers bought my new place for me, they didn't know that there's a basement, either.

The New England Patriots lost by a point to the Indianna Colts last weekend. I sent Bill Belichick bad thoughts for making that terrible 4th down call that lost the Pats the game. I hope he got them. LOL

TV Talk:
I'm caught up with all the shows I watch, except Ghost Whisperer and Smallville. I've yet to watch last night's episodes of those two.
What's going on in Gossip Girl? I feel like I don't get it anymore. LOL Kidding!
I don't like what happened to Barney and Robin in HIMYM. They need to go back to before.
Sheldon and Penny for the win in TBBT!
I like how Katie Cassidy made out with another girl in Melrose Place. That's all I want to see in that show. Kidding!
The latest episode of Cougar Town was good. Favourite line: "There's a dead lizard in the toilet! *flushes* Bye, Ellie! I named him."
Modern Family was epic. Edward Norton and Elizabeth Banks both guest starred in one episode.
Glee was amazing! I like ballads and I 'heart' Dianna Agron.
Fringe was heartbreaking. The dude made the girl important so she didn't have to die. Awww!
The Vampire Diaries was intense. When Laura and I were watching, I was like, "They're having sex!" Laura was like, "Duh."

Tomorrow is Laura's 4-year anniversary with me. Remember how we have two? Anyway, so hers is tomorrow and we don't really have anything planned. LOL We're just going to wing it. Spontaneity is good for the soul. One thing that we (meaning Laura) decided is to see New Moon tomorrow. In love, sacrifices are made. I'm going to sacrifice my sanity by torturing myself through that movie. LOL

I haven't really wrote much of anything of importance for a long time here, so, I thought I would write a little something.

Don't really come to TV.com a lot anymore. Well, since the redesign, cause it's terrible and I perfer the old layout, I still have active guides, I try to keep them updated regularly, but it's harder than it used to be. I try to update them weekly, I'm trying to get where I can do it daily. Maybe with my new schedule I have laid out, I'll be able to do that. I'm hoping that I can, but not crossing any fingers.

Now this has always been an entertainment blog, I never really delved into my personal life, because well, it's personal and who really cares? I'm hoping that you read this to escape and maybe have a couple of chuckles, or to maybe think how stupid I am, or even self-centered I am. Any of the three are fine by me.

I'm going to throw out some topics and give some short responses. Hence then name of the blog, "Random Shots."

Sports:

-Baseball: F*ck the Yankees, f*ck the Yankees, f*ck the Yankees. That also goes for the Dodgers as well. Go Cardinals.

-Football: I am no longer a St. Louis Rams fans, cause they really suck. So, I sprained my hamstring jumping on the Jets bandwagon and now they suck. So, I'm just simply a football fan now. Go NFL!

Basketball: Until St. Louis gets a basketball team I could really care less about basketball. Until then, just tell me when the playoffs start.

Television:

It's a wasteland of complete garbage, except for the shows I'm the editor for, they're epic shows that should be watched by all.

I've only recently started watching Mad Men and it's really good, I'm working my way slowly through the series and I'm liking what I'm seeing so far.

Television is so bad, I'm actually working my way through old shows I've never seen. Recently it was The Office, the good one, from England, not the American one, that has a retard as the boss. After I get done with Mad Men, I'll be moving on to Fawlty Towers, which I've always wanted to see and now I have it and really excited about it.

Movies:

There's only one movie I want to talk about. It's The Hangover. What a piece of garbage that was. People were raving about how funny it was. Clearly, I must have seen some different movie than everyone else, because that sh*t wasn't funny. Not one bit of it was. Could someone please explain waht was so funny about it? And if you say Mike Tyson, I'll eat your children.

Music:

Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift. Swastika. Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift. Huh?

That's all I hear about music, I've never heard any of her songs, it's country music, so I avoid it at all costs. I might like her music if I give it a shot, since I like those girly songs, but I'm dragging my feet on that one. Everybody does have a line, ya know.

Other than that, music is in the same place that television is at, in the dumpster.

Video Games:

Modern Warfare 2 came out this week and EVERYBODY, EVERYBODY on my friends list is playing that. I wish I got it, not the game but the concept. I just don't like shooter games, because I become target practice for the mediocre players and that just takes all the fun out of it for me, so what's the use? It has to be fun, since everyone is playing it. I just suck at those games.

One game like that, I may get soon, is Left 4 Dead, it seems like an awesome game and it has zombies in it. I'm a sucker for zombies. So, Left 4 Dead soon, yeah, a year after it came out...I'm really on the ball on video games.

Now to the video games that takes up all my time...Rock Band 2. I play it all the time. As I stated previously on here, I'm addicted to those games. Since the last time we talked, I've beaten them all on expert (sans Guitar Hero Metallica and Smash Hits). Not a big Guitar Hero fan anymore, but I'm not blatant Rock Band fan boy either. After all, I do use a Guitar Hero controller.

My playing skills vary. I'm good on most songs, except for heavy metal. I eat my b*lls on those, on guitar, but when I play bass, I'm pretty damn good. Decent on guitar and I'm killer on bass. I'm awesome on bass. Recently started playing drums for those games and I'm getting it down, not that great, but not horrible.

One music game that recently came out was The Beatles: Rock Band. Being a dirty -expletive deleted- for both the Beatles and Rock Band, I had to get this on release day. And yes, while it was awesome, it quickly runs out of steam. Sometimes I pop the disk in to play Octopus's Garden or Here Comes the Sun, but then I want to move back to Rock Band and play China Cat Sunflower or Blue Sky. It's a great game, but it has a very little replay value, and this is coming from a die hard Beatles fan.

That's all I'm writing. You figure out the two songs that title are comprised of and I'll give you a cookie.

Wow, has it really been 15 days since my last blog?

Wow..I've really lost track of time these past two weeks.

So, what's new in my life?
Not much actually.
But I do have one story for you guys. One of my more interesting experiences

Ok Ok Ok Ok Ok:

STORY TIME:

Usually on a weekday I get home from work at 7ish. But this day I'd left early (hours are weird in a prison...not easy to explain) and got home at about 5. So I walk through the door and find my sister making out with some boy on MY couch (yes, MY couch, not hers, mine!). And they're basically on top of eachother (on MY couch). So I'm just standing there (I think I actually stood there for atleast a minute thinking of what approach to use). And they didn't even notice that I'd walked in and was standing 6 feet from them.

So I basically slam the door as hard as I can and they both jumped up immediately. My sister looked like she was going to have a heart attack and the guy....the guy....he had the most obnoxious look on his face ever. It was like a smug, calm "I've just been caught doing something bad and am proud of it" look.

So I just stare for about a minute thinking of what to say. Then I decide to just walk into the kitchen (which is directly next to the living room, no wall separating the two rooms). And thats the point where my sister got up and came into the kitchen to try to give me some kind of rational excuse (which does not exist).

Now, most may call me a bad guardian for this, but I really honestly cared more that they were doing this on MY couch than I did about what they were doing (not to say I didn't care that my sister brought a boy into the house when I wasn't home and started making out with him...that's bad)

But what really drove me insane at this point is the guy she was with: as my sister was trying to give me some kind of excuse, he layed back on MY couch, and extended his arms across the top and stared at the TV. Him looking so comfortable in my apartment after what he just did, that drove me absolutely insane.

So I basically walk past my sister as shes trying to explain whatever she was saying to me and go over to him. First, I said "Get out" because, you know, I couldn't think of anything else. Then, he just put on a face that said "Is she serious?" and looked at my sister. So I basically pick up the school bag he had with him (which I noticed was probably lighter than it should have been) and threw it out of the window (now I'm not stupid, I through it out onto the balcony so it wouldn't hit anyone, but it looked as if i threw it down 20 + floors.

That was the point where he started to think I was a bit crazy. And I kind of liked that. So first I walk by my sister (whose mouth is wide open in the "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU JUST DID THAT" way. I grabbed her by the sleeve and basically dragged her into her room. After I shut the door behind me I decided I could have some more fun with this boy.

So I walked over to where her was sitting, on MY couch, and pulled over a wooden chair. Then I did this thing i learned when I was 13 where I kick the chair a bit and get it to turn around backwards with just one little kick (it actually looks pretty cool in person ). I sat down and rested my arms across the top of the chair. I put my chin on my arms and I don't remember what I said exactly but it was something like "Now you could either leave of we could talk this out." Idk what I said but I had fun saying it. Thats the point where he stood up and edged over to the door, trying to act like he was calm, but it was obvious he was going to run for it when he got into the hallway.

And now my sister is mad about it.

I suppose I may have gone a bit overboard but she started it!

And most people might concider what I did to this boy a bit....insane for lack of better word, but I'm glad I did it. I'm not going to lie and say something like "He needed it" or "I was teaching him a lesson" or whatever, I actually enjoyed it.

I'm sure plenty of people would have done the same thing and laughed about it all night (like I did )

Well....I got a bit more absorbed in that story than I intended to in this blog but I suppose that's what blogs are for .

Sorry I've been behind on everything lately (namely blog commenting). Life's been a bit...time consuming lately. I'll try to catch up on everything else soon.

And since I failed to make a Halloween blog, Happy Halloween (next blog I have a fun little rant about the slutty 8th grade girls in my apartment who I like to laugh at )

35. Damages

I have never liked this show as much as the average critic.
But it is a great show that I still need to catch up on. Eventually, but it isn't a show that I NEED to see.

34. Being Human

One of the few British shows that I have ever truly liked.
What is taking Season 2 so long?

33. Hung

Still need to catch up on this show, but is it good? Absolutely.
Humor is very awkward, which doesn't appeal to everyone, but it does to me.

32. Family Guy

Haven't watched this one in a while, but it is a great show for when you are bored.

31. Medium

Haven't bothered watching the new Season yet.
Quite frankly, it is a great show but it is time to end it already.

30. The Tudors

Pretty much the guilty-pleasure version of 'Rome'.
Is it worth watching? For sure, if not just for it's sexiness and great outfits.

29. Man Vs. Wild

Gotten a little tired of this one, but Bear Grylls never gets boring.

28. 30 Rock

A little too American, but I certainly understand the hype.
Best comedic cast on tv, for sure.

27. The Simpsons

This show never gets old. 21 Seasons old? Damn.

26. Nurse Jackie

One of the best new shows of the year, Edie Falco blows me away with her great performance.

25. Weeds

The humor on this show is getting worse, whilst the drama is only getting better.
It is being dragged on longer than it should have, but it is still worth watching.

24. Rescue Me

This show is like a roller coaster ride, it has big highs and big lows and little in-betweens.
But the occasional great performances and unique story makes it unforgettable.

23. Nip/Tuck

Pretty much the exact same thing as Rescue Me.
But season six, which will be the series' last, is proving to be as dark and as memorable as the first three seasons so far.

22. South Park

A show that has gotten a bit too old, but is it still entertaining? You betcha.

21. Skins

Too high on the list? Pretty much.
But when the show is good, it is pretty heartbreaking.

20. Survivor

In it's 19th Season, and still going on strong.
The only reality show that I would recommend to anyone.

19. Epitafios

I am probably the only person here that will ever watch this show.
It airs on Latin HBO, which means that it is all in Spanish. Pretty awesome.

18. The Office

Behind on this one, mainly because I do not like it as much as during it's first three seasons.
But it is still one of the best comedies on tv.

17. Entourage

I am not yet caught up with this one, but I have been watching episodes here and there and loving it more the more I watch it.

16. In Treatment

I am still not finished with it's first Season.
Why? I do not know. Honestly, I loved what I saw of it. Excellent show.

15. Lost

The show has changed so much, and I don't think that it's as smart or nearly as touching as it used to be.
It actually feels like just another action-y show instead of a powerful, supernatural drama.
Hopefully Season 6 gives it the right send off.

14. Robot Chicken

One of the best ways to kill time.
It can be hit-or-miss-y, but for the most part, it is pure unconditional entertainment.

13. True Blood

What is not fun about this show? It has sex, gore, supernatural people, and decent writing and performances.
The best guilty pleasure on tv. period.

12. Party Down

Probably overrating this show that almost nobody has ever even heard of.
But I love it. I love the characters, the cast, the GUEST STARS(!!!), the humor. It is one of those shows you just simply love.

11. Bored To Death

If I would ever write a comedy, it would be something like this.
Just extremely dry, and probably lame. It's hilarious and akward, I love it.

10. Friday Night Lights

Season 4 is starting all over again, half the cast is gone and the show is just better than ever.

09. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

Currently going through it's worst Season yet, but it could still recover.
The people on this show are horrible low-lives, what's not to love?

08. Modern Family

Still very fresh and new, but already loving this one.
The cast is superb, with the likes of Ed O'Neill and Ty Burrell.
It has two Colombian characters and the dialog is sharp and histerical. One of the best comedies in a long time.

07. The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency

My favorite new show that aired this year.
So far, still has not been renewed or cancelled. Hopefully it does get a second season, because it was a true African gem.

06. Big Love

This show has only been getting better and better.
It has gotten better than I ever though it could get. Gut-wrecking and occasionally hilarious.

05. Flight Of The Choncords

The world needs more Folk, I demand it!
As of now, whether Season 3 will happen is still unsure. HBO wants them back, but the Conchords are not convinced yet.
Here's hoping they do at least one more season.

04. The Venture Bros.

Best. Animated show. Ever. Period.
I love everything about this show. It is epic, freaking histerical, has one of the best voice-acting, excellent set of characters, and a better written and less confusing mythology than Lost.

03. Breaking Bad

Bryan Cranston really carries this show, his performance reminds me of the Deadwood cast, it is that good.
The show is very thrilling without being cheap, you never know what will happen next.

02. Dexter

Season 4 is doing what I didn't think was going to be possible.
It is making me love and fear this show even more. This Season's villain, The Trinity Killer, is almost as freaky as Twin Peak's Bob.
What a great ride this show has been.

01. Mad Men

What can I say about the show that hasn't been said already?
It is a work of art, every single frame is. I can just pause any episode and still be amazed by what I see.
I love that about this show. There is a group of people that will never get what I mean, but if you are into art, you should be able to understand.

Although not really on here I turned more into a lucker peering at tv shows checking the odd blog etc. I don't quite know why I walked away from it for a while I think everything changed so much on this site, it felt very strange.

I need a little bit of help. I am going to the great City of New York in November believe me I can't wait -its a very surreal feeling at the moment - but wondering if anyone could give me any info on places they have been to etc? Also is anyone familiar with the Empire hotel? whats its like?

It was not too long ago that I wrote a blog about some problems that this website was having due since their format change. I wrote it after all my previous blogs had disappeared. When they returned, my latest blog disappeared. Did the blog disappear because Tv.com fixed my blog problem or because they didn't want any negative feedback on their errors? I don't know. Do you? Anyway, I thought I'd write a new blog because not only is Tv.com having technical difficulties, but Movietome.com seems to be a difficult site to handle.

Occasionally, after going to different pages on the site, I get logged off and have to sign in again. I don't know if this is a glitch or a precaution for security purposes. Either way, it's a bit annoying. Especially when I'm trying to submit new data.

Blog 554.

I saw Halloween 2 last night, so now I'm reviewing it. Spoilers below.


In the beginning of the movie, there is a definition for "WHITE HORSE." It explains how you see them when you're mentally insane. There's a flashback to Deborah Myers visiting young Michael in the mental institution, bringing him a small white horse statuette. It reminds him of a dream he had where Deborah was dressed in white as a ghost and had a white horse, and she told him it was time to come home. 15 YEARS LATER. Laurie is covered in blood and hysterically traumatized after shooting Michael. Sheriff Brackett finds her, and she is taken to the hospital, as are Annie and Dr. Loomis, who survived Michael's attack. However, Michael escapes after the coroner's van crashes into a cow, and Michael kills the drivers, escaping. The bullet apparently grazed his head. He sees a vision of Deborah and a white horse. ONE YEAR LATER, Laurie is having nightmares about Michael attacking her and killing her, despite the fact that he's "dead." She even has thoughts about her as Michael, killing her friends as he killed, such as killing Annie the way Michael killed Ronnie White. She is also in therapy. She's living with Annie and Sheriff Brackett. It's apparent that Michael and Laurie have some psychological connection when Laurie is eating pizza as Michael is eating a dog at the same time (similar to Halloween 5). Dr. Loomis writes a book about Michael Myers, which explains that Laurie is Angel Myers, Michael's sister. She has a dramatic outburst when she reads it, storming out of the house, extremely pi$$ed at Annie and Brackett. She decides to party with her friends, Mya and Harley, and to get drunk and forget about everything she's going through. She sees a vision of Deborah Myers and a young Michael. Meanwhile, Michael kills Harley, and Laurie and Mya go back to Laurie's house, unaware of where Harley is. However, they don't know that Michael chased and slashed Annie while they were on their way. Annie dies in Laurie's arms, and Mya calls 911. She doesn't know the address, so when she goes outside to look, Michael pulls her in and kills her. He chases after Laurie, and she escapes to a road, where a driver offers to take her to the hospital. Michael kills the driver and flips the car over. He takes an unconscious Laurie to a shed, and the police and SWAT are on their way. Laurie imagines a young Michael restraining her, but when Loomis goes in to help, he tells her that nobody's holding her down, and that it's in her mind. Michael kills Loomis after repeatedly stabbing him in the face. A sniper shoots Michael through a window in the shed, and he falls back onto the spikes of some farming equipment. Laurie tells him she loves him, before stabbing him multiple times in the heart, then in the head. She walks out of the shed wearing Michael's mask, and the Halloween theme begins to play. It then shows Laurie sitting on the foot of her bed in a long whte room (a mental institution). She sees Deborah and a white horse walking down her room, and has an evil grin on her face. End credits.

I loved the movie. I just didn't completely understand the ending. I want to think that Michael really died at the end of the first one, and Laurie was actually in the Myers mask doing all the killings. But the fact that they both see the white horse because they're both insane was great. I only hated that so many deaths were in slow motion. I couldn't tell what was going on with Annie, and she was the most important person to die, in my opinion. Otherwise, I loved the movie. Definitely worth waiting over 8 months. Overall I'd give it a 9/10. Only because of all the slow motion, the slightly confusing ending, and about 46 cut scenes.

Those brainless neanderthals fukked up the next patch from the one where it should only be the new Chaser Mode I'm DYING to play, to something the Koreans JUST UPDATED in their S4 version. Which is no more permanent weapons, skills and clothes to be bought. They're all gonna be rentals now. WHAT KINDA FRIGGIN' MORONS ARE RUNNING THAT PIECE OF CRAP ALAPLAYA????? THERE'S FUKKING GAS LEAKING IN THEIR CORPORATION, I FRIGGIN' SWEAR!!!!! *SIGH* Got it a bit out of my system now, but still unbelievably outraged. They're completely destroying the little bit of good that was left in my new favorite game. Fukking morons. -_-'''''''''''''''

ANYWHO, what else is new is that I d/l-ed ANOTHER (though PS2) game recently, and so far loving the little bit I tested out - ".hack//G.U. Vol.1 Rebirth". Think it's so far one of the coolest and strangest RPGs I've ever played. It's playing a game in a game. In case you've no idea what the hell I'm talking about, go check out the anime, think it's awesome too (I still haven't watched it...). ;3

Ahhh I'm bored now, maybe I'll snatch the PS2 from my parents' room now and play .hack... Toodle-loo.

-------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 can northern beans - (16 oz) -- undrained 2 cans sliced-****stewed tomatoes - (14 oz ea) 1 jar Prego spaghetti sauce - (16 oz) 2 celery ribs -- sliced thin 1 small onion -- chopped 2 cups small spiral pasta -- uncooked Salt -- to taste Freshly-ground black pepper -- to taste Combine everything in Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
