I love Christmas, but this year it really doesn't feel like it is almost Christmas... I have no idea why, maybe it's cause this is the first one where Bruno and I are living together (and I don't mean that in a negative way!)

I have my tree with awesome blue lights... I have presents... I know what we're going to eat on Christmas Eve... But still... It's weird...

I hope all of you will enjoy yourselves and may all your dreams come true in 2008 (yeah that sounds cheesy, I know!)

Since I got a few questions about my current icon, I figured I might as well tell everybody where it's from and why I'm using it. I want to warn you guys: I'm bad at explaining stuff!

It's from a show called Blood Ties and it's every Friday on Lifetime. It's based on The Blood Books novels by Tanya Huff (I started reading them a few days ago) I was hooked from the first episode. I hope that I can convince a few people to watch it too *pokes Suze*

It's about Vicki (Victoria) Nelson who is an ex-detective. She had to quit the force cause of an eye condition called retinitis pigmentosa (night blindess, tunnel vision and eventually blindness) and is now a private investigator.

On one of her investigations she meets Henry Fitzroy, a 450-year old vampire and the bastard son of King Henry VIII. Vicki's ex-partner (and former lover) Mike Celluci isn't too happy about this and guess what... an interesting love-triangle is born. Vicki also has an assistant Coreen, who helps with her cases and has a crush on Henry.

If you like vamps, the supernatural and crime, this is a show you should watch.

If I make it sound boring, it really isn't. Just watch it and let me know what you think

Since my last blog of course.

And cause I wanted to let you guys know that I'm not dead yet, I'll give you guys an update. I've been busy but I try to be online more again!

I moved in my app! next Sunday I'll be here 3 weeks and OMG I am loving it! I still have no doors (only some kind of emergency door to keep people from walking in) and I'm freezing my a$$ off when we don't put the heater up to level HOT HOT HOT but I'm good

We spent a ton of money on lots of crap we never knew we would need and we aren't even half through our list

I now live directly above my work and it's awesome I was a bit scared at first (cause living where you work isn't always good) but it's going well . I get up at 7 and I have one hour and a half before I have to downstairs Gives me extra time to catch up with my favorite series!

I should post pics but I haven't gotten to taking those yet so that will have to wait

And now I have start getting ready cause we are gonna go to watch The Bourne Ultimatum (yeah I know, it's been out since forever) in the theather

I was gonna wait with my next blog till I got my hands on our pics from our trip to France, but since my evenings seem to be full of crap, I'm gonna post a bla bla blog first. Just to let you guys know I'm not dead yet

The trip was GREAT! Nice weather (I have a tan!!!) Nice people, good food and a jacuzzi And I got to watch A LOT of movies in the evenings, cause we were a bit in the middle of nowhere and by 10 PM we were both so beat that we wouldn't have made it to the car anyway But more on that later!

The reason my evenings are so packed it that D-day is finally getting VERY close. We hope to move into our app some time next week So in 7 days (or less) I'll be out of my dad's house and as much as I love the guy.... I've never been so happy in my life to get out of there

We spent our Sunday and Monday painting our a$$es off... I can't walk properly anymore and my right arm is useless but at least there are 2 coats of paint on my walls The colors are called Cookie Dough (andthe colorlooks exacly like it ) and Fleedy Wool (something beige-light greeny-something) The awesome part is that the colors look VERY differently depending on the light. So I'm happy

Today they are finishing our bathroom and our toilet Tomorrow the kitchen. The only downside is that the doors won't be ready in time. They are gonna put in some kind of temporary front door but the rest of the app will be open. It's gonna be pretty interesting when one of us has to use the toilet...

The next weeks are gonna be a bit hard since they are not delivering our furniture in the first week... So we'll be watching TV (we got a brand new TV!!) from the floor and eating at an old folding table with a few chairs The only thing that is gonna be there from day one is my bed (thank god for that!) I'm gonna try and take pics of that first weekcause it will be something I'll remember for a very long time

News from DVD land:

I pre-ordered Desperate Housewives season 3 and Heroes season 1 and I should be getting them in the second half of October. I got Gilmore Girls season 4 from my mom yesterday (hello Jared and Milo ) and I bought Pet Semetary.

That's all folks.

Makes Kim a very dull girl indeed!

But that's all gonna change in a few days! I FINALLY get to go on my long awaited holiday to France! I'm leaving next Saturday and I'll be back the weekend after that. We are going to a region in France called Dordogne. We rented this very cute small place called Le Pigeonier and it looks like this:

I hope it's as nice as it looks I'll make sure I have lots of pics and hopefully some stories to blog about when I get back! And OMG I will miss you guys I'm secretly hoping to have an internet connection but I doubt that

And I'm taking LOTS of DVD's with me just in case, cause the weather forecast isn't that good. But as long as it doesn't rain, I'll be happy. I'm just not looking forward to the 10 hour drive (stops included) to get there. I'm gonna have to drug myself cause I suffer from travel sickness or whatever it's called.

Update in DVD land:

I'm currentlywaiting to get my second part ofSN season 2 in mymailbox. It should arrive today or tomorrow.

New in myDVD collection (hadn't mentioned those before): Gilmore Girls season 1, 2 and 3, Poltergeist: The Legacy season 1 andTwo Twisted.
