*Update*
Supprisingly, i'm still around on GS. Blogging just always seemed pointless...
Hmm. Games.
Mii?!
So my good friend Domstercool made himself a Mii huh? Heres me!

Oh yeah, i got a new laptop too... For all you computer lovers heres the spec list:
AMD Turion 64 X2 1.66ghz
1GB DDR2 ram
GeForce Go! 6100
100GB HDD
Really nice little system.
My Love And Hate Of A Single Game
When Dead Rising is good... its a very good game. As a run around and kill zombie-'em-up its unbetable. But when a game has such a god awful save system and a terribly rigid story that makes you do thing when it wants you to... it becomes a game i hate to play.
To top it off, earlier i finished case 7-2. Just, i killed the boss and i completed the mission i had (trying to avoid spoilers)... only for my lovely second xbox360 to give me a disc error. I don't even know if i want to go back to Dead Rising now. To have fought so hard for something in game and then basically told to f**k off by your own console is abit of a kick in the balls.
Thanks Microsoft, its good to see even my second console from you is as bad as the first. I had an XBOX for 3 years and never had an ounce of a problem with it. I didn't even have my first XBOX360 for a year before the thing broke and now my second one is into scratching my game discs. Wonderful.
I'm still alive!!
I'm alive, just. I've been playing alot of games and i've been again busy with personal stuff.
My 360 will return to me on Friday... thank god. I wanna play Dead Rising ![]()
Posting From A Far Away Place...
Its the penultimate day of my days at Letty's here in Shetland the furthest north i've ever been. I've had very little sleep, so excuse any randomness and my sentences not making any sense. And no innuendos either...
I seriously dunno what i'm gunna do when i get back to Halifax. I really wanna stay here, but its just not a possibility. I really, really love this girl and its like digging swords into my heart when i have to leave her. Oh man, i sound so freaking lame
.
Anyway, trying not to be emo... Dead Rising finally gets its EU release soon and hopefully my 360 will be up and working by then after its rather cataclysmic death the other week.
You know, i'm sat here typing this just thinking how pointless games have become in my life. Seriously. After near enough 16 of the 18 years of my life gaming i've just come to a conclusion of how little fun i really get from them in comparison to other things in my life. Gahhh... going home tomorrow night is going to be totally soul destroying.
Anyway, i gotta do some modding on the NE boards. Jordan out.
These Unions Are A Funny Thing...
Lets be honest about this, how many people actually give a crap about whats going on in their unions?
I'm a member of like, 15 or so. I only go into two, community controbutions (sp?) and Gamespot Live. The rest... mehhh. Kinda pointless, but you know. I'm a guy who can't say no to a union invite.
Oh and heres some random news, off to see my girlfriend in the Shetlands on Friday, 16 hours journy-age and i'll be in the Shet's 7:30am on the Saturday. Fun fun fun, well... shes worth it. Love ya Letty!
Jordan out.
360 death!
This morning my XBOX360 died, i'd just like to give my thanks to the guys that did it over at 'thegamecollection.net' by sending me another scratched to hell copy of Fight Night Round 3.
Cheers guys, my present was no doubt the three red lights now flashing like a whore on my ring of light... *sigh*
Lack of updates.
Sorry guys about the lack of updates, its been due to personal issues and the fact i haven't been home much of the time.
Thanks.
The Move!
After many a delay, Revolution Europe the site i work for is upping sticks and moving to a new domain.
This will be our 5th and final name change, since the sites launch back in 1998 (you heard right.) Heres a brief history:
1998 - The Birth
The founders of the site, Tim and Gerben make a small Nintendo themed site known as "Tim and Gerban's Nintendo 64 Site". Real original eh?
1999/2000 - The Growth
As the site grows, its obvious a name change and a server move is needed. They decide on N64-Europe and the site slowly gains popularity.
2001 - The Change and The Peak
As the N64 dies away, N64-Europe becomes a more Gameboy focused site and gains a sister site "gba.n64.europe.com". However, the site later becomes GameCube Europe and over the next few years enjoys exclusives and a huge growth in numbers.
2005 - The Revolution and The Loss Of A Founder
As the end of 2005 rolls by, the founder Tim leaves CE as he is hired by Nintendo themselves as a product analyst. Where he still works now. GameCube-Europe is also renamed Revolution-Europe to keep with the codename for the next Nintendo console. The site is given to dept head, Conor Smyth and we piggyback on Advanced Media Network servers. Although this is a time of friendships being made, one is lost. gba.n64.europe leaves us and starts a new site DS-X2. However, we still have a good relationship with these guys things weren't the same after. The site actually went live on the day of the Nintendo Wii controller unvailing at TGS 2005.
Early 2006 - The Downtime
With a huge influx in visitors AMN servers simply can't cope and the entire network starts to suffer from sparadic and mass downtime. However, a few months later getting so annoyed AMN finally move servers. Where we are now, however times are still changing and so is RE.
Mid 2006 - The Final Resting Place
Tomorrow, Revolution-Europe.com will change. Not only its name, but forever changing our coverage and making our site far more personal than before.
And this was a "Jordan hasn't slept in a very long freaking time" post. Its 7:42am, i've just played Perfect Dark Zero for the last few hours and i'm really tired. So, if you don't mind ![]()
Oh come on...
So yeah, i got my copy of Fight Night this morning...
Its heavily scratched and isn't even readable in my 360. I sent the seller and email this morning, i better get a new one.
Gods sake...
A new game and even more achievement points.
I'm turning into an achievement whore, totally. I hit an even 6000 earlier with my Egg Basket achievement on Marble Blast Ultra or "Marble Blaster" as Billy Boy Gates says it!
I bought Fight Night Round 3 also last night, it was dispatched this morning so I should get it tomorrow with any luck. I really enjoyed the demo and I saw it for like £25. Total steal, not to mention i'll have another thousand points ![]()
Just a quick update!
I got the 7 stars achievement on SFII' HF. In a few less rounds than Domstercool.
Hard one to get, two to go.
Two New Top Gear Videos!
Aren't I nice?
Jordan out!
Street Fighter II' Coding
Pascal:
Start
IF Player 'Block' Hadouken
IF Player 'Do Anything' Hadouken.
End
Yeah, thats about right. I have 3 achievements to get on Street Fighter, the three hardest. 7 Stars, Hyper and Perfect complete. All three are utterly **** impossible. Because of one person ONE PERSON I NOW HATE. Ryu!!!!
Now, I don't usually blame the game for being so hard. But i swear Capcom got God damn apes to code this game. At 7 star difficulty, Ryu released TWENTY Hadouken's one after the other. I couldn't do anything but try jump over them or block them both resulting in damage in some form.
This game is a god damn joke and i refuse to play it untill some of the issues are patched.
Wow, I blow at Street Fighter.
Its strange, what can happen after a few years. Prior to today, I haven't played Street Fighter II (propperly anyway) since i owned Turbo on my SNES.
So, like most people today I bought Hyper Fighting. Insane difficulty, insane speed and the 360 Joypad royally sucks beyond ANYTHING for beat 'em ups. Atleast the GameCube pad had seperate points for directions. The 360's is just some dodgy circle disc thing.
So yeah, I can't even beat the single player. On the lowest difficulty... This sucks, i'm fairly good at Alpha, 3 and all the versus games. Nostalgia sucks.
Just incase you can't be bothered to click the link!
Heres the video I posted of this weeks Top Gear here in the UK. Great little one too.
When I say button...
You say mashing!
Button!
Mashing!
Hehehe
I can't wait till midnight tonight! Button Mashing returns! ![]()
No... NO...NOOO!!
Gahhhhh.
So, I build my server. Everything works great and its currently sat behind me working fine (if very freaking loud... gotta sort that). The second i add my HDD's to my raid card. All hell breaks loose.
1, It loads through the bios, and shows me that there are X amount of drives.
2, It starts to boot into Windows, then crashes instantly.
3, I can ctrl+alt+del to reset the PC. It goes back through BIOS then starts scanning the RAID IDE's for HDD's and fails.
What the HELL is going on?! *sigh* Looks like the card commits suicide right as it boots into Windows.
God damn, computers must hate me...
So, i've just done my second format in about 3 weeks due to massive slow downs on my computer for apparently no reason. I'm doing all the Windows Updates right now (thats right, i hav e a legal Windows serial unlike most) which is fun...
I should be building my new server today, all depends on if the tools from ebay get their acts together and send me my parts! ![]()
Oh dear, does anyone else think i need help?
Ah...err.. jeeze.
After adding Uno to my games list, no idea how that one slipped through the net since i've had it for ages. I went into my games list on here and realised i have $12K in games...
TWELVE THOUSAND? Well, okay its been over quite a few years. Lets say, 7 or 8 years since i've been seriously buying games and not selling them. But man thats like quite alot of money.
Anyone else spent a crazy amount on games?
EDIT: For me and my other comrades from Great Britian thats about £7,500.
