for an amazing group. These guys have a sense of rythmn and tone that simply astounds. I have never heard the mixtures of sounds and tones these guys come up with, and if you had asked me before I heard them, I would have said they wouldn't work.
But they have proven me wrong. The songs in this album will have you wanting to move, or reminiscing in a faded memory. Yulunga (Spirit Dance) is a simply astounding piece, and even the most hardened of critics could not deny it.

I had never heard of these guys before. Just happened to see them listed in my music club, and went out for a listen. Instantly hooked. This group has an intuitional sense for what will reel a listener into their world, a way with words that will leave you entranced, and a sound that I can say is on par with Mediaeval Baebes (though definitely of a different path), Dead Can Dance, and Miranda Sex Garden. This is a must-have album, and a must-hear group.

Connie Dover has done it again. Her voice, while beloved by all, has a new crystalline ring to it in this album. Her rendition of Fear an Bhata strikes a chord deep within the heart, and the beat of it makes a girl want to dance, though whether in longing or joy, tis hard to determine. One thing is for sure. Ms. Dover stands as a Goddess among the folk singers.

The luscious girls of Mediaeval Baebes have long since held my interest, but this latest album is simply stunning. Dringo Bell, the song of a prostitute and her client, is so funny that I have to go to the bathroom before I hear it. The Sour Grove is delightful in its naughtiness, and the Snake has a beat that no foot can resist. An album well worth owning, I recommend it to all fans of world beats.

I mean, wow. This band is simply amazing. I recommend all their amazing pieces to everyone. This collection in and of itself is purely a fantastical piece of work. It transports you to another time, another place, and at times, deep within your own worlds. I cannot imagine better composers for contemporary instrumentals.
