This Post Gets A 5/10
If anybody still reads this/cares I've decided to do some more of my award winning reviews. So far my list is this:
- Halo 3
- Shadowrun
- Ikaruga
- Soul Calibur IV
- Fallout 3
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
- Puzzle Quest DS
- The World Ends With You
- KORG DS-10
- Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble
- Castlevania Order of Eccelsia
Wait, What?
Seeing how Soul Calibur IV comes out on Tuesday I figured it's time to get some things off my chest regarding the game. Firstly...
This makes sense. An undead pirate fighting a Frenchman in what I'm assuming a 16th or 18th century setting. Where as this...
DOESN'T! To this day I don't understand it. How can someone from like a million years into the future fight somebody with primitive weapons and still be a fair fight. Ontop of that Mr.Starkiller(guy on the right from Star Wars: Force Unleashed) as well as Yoda and Darth Vader all have Force powers to boot. It should be noted that they three do have a Force bar that drains with the use of each move and eventually their health bar drains after excessive use of Force powers.
I guess my biggest problem is that the inclusion of Star Wars characters in the Soul Calibur universe seems very out of place and it looks like Namco Bandai is jumping the shark. As far as I know time travel has never been a theme or mentioned in any piece of Star Wars canon or fiction. I'm not a super huge Star Wars nerd but I do have very fond memories of the movies and Knights of the Old Republic and Battlefront games. I also have very fond memories of Soul Calibur II on the Gamecube and I guess I'm worried about the balance of IV.
Despite my complaints I did put down a deposit on the game and will pick it up on day 1 and the best part is if I don't like it or whatever I can return it within a week to EB games and get a full refund which is pretty nice.
610 and doing fine
Someone Find Me A Dragon For I Shall Feast On It's Flesh!
Well well well. I guess I'm not crazy after all.
On Saturday (well technically Sunday morning) I made a thread about someone who keeps randomly showing up for a few seconds in the middle of MuchMusic shows(It's kind of like MTV but they atleast try to show videos). Anyways I was watching Much last night out just to see if my mystery man would show up and he did this time holding a sign with a website address written on it.
Site doesn't work atleast not for me but after the 1.5 seconds of Goggle searching I came to this.
http://phreak615.blogspot.com/

^The face of the phreak.
The blog itself gives me some information. phreak615 appears (this being the keyword) a disgruntled Much employee who seems to be able to hack the Master Feed because from what I've heard this isn't just a Toronto thing. I'm not really sure what to make of this. If this is just somebody trying to push the buttons of a broadcaster who neglects actuall music videos for stuff like the OC and that damn Girlicious show then I'm all for it but I'm pretty sure this is some viral marketing stunt because we all know how much advertisers love those.
On a side note there is an e-mail given on it's Blogspot profile so I may e-mail this character and see what's what if I even get a real response from it(him/her? I'm not really sure).
