I come to this site alot, but why, i have been for years...
i come here for answers on certian things and for opinions..
yet everyone posts their opinions as facts... which is ignorant.. they forget fact from opinion, and obviously most people forget that perception is the main filter that everyone has between "reality" and what they view "reality" to be.
granted post your opinions. that i dont mind..
but do not confuse them for facts.
out of the thousands of posts i read in here.. only a handful can even remotely be considered as facts.
though everyone thinks they have a fact to state...
the power for the want of money seems to ellude them.. and the power to rebel just to rebel seems like a lost concept to them, even when they are doing it without even knowing.. or following the crowd, not to be an outcast.
then try to sound "intelligent by calling others stupid."
out of the 10 million people posting... 9.7 of them are insecure... to the point of bringing down others "if only in their mind" so they dont feel so alone..

another example halo was not a great game but one of the first and superior xbox games with superior control so it became famous in xbox fans, later people start to claim its gay and say gears owns it, however gears is another x360 game that was one of the fisrt x360 games with superior graphics and control in x360 that just like halo meant nothing to pc fans when it came out, its not a great game you basicly move linear with no story no psychics its short and combat system about taking cover is dumb becasue you unload ammo to enemies and they unload at you, always shoot you and not your squad mates so you aim to someone who is taking cover waiting to stand up to nail him and you take hit before even stand up and guns are weak, and basically kinda dumb eg sniper rilfe with 1 shot in 200++ era and takes more than one usually, doesnt make sense, many games eg mass effect have done it better so gears doesnt have a proper combat system and in a few years people will call it gay just like halo
another example i said crysis warhead 5 hours, well ok at least ill got gta iv that has more replay value and the relply was this

eg silent hill the game worth aboput 7- 7.5 nowadays but it was a huge advancement in psx but if you see it as a game it has proper beggining in story but the endings.. also could use some more weapons areas and monsters over all a good game, great in techmological advancment scary, but in terms of just being a game its not great, eg the bad controls, over all i give it an 8 consider both good and bad points depending on era the advancement the greatness of the game and all so all i got to say i always take everything in mad and not post my opinion by ignoring the rest
the point about crysis is how mediocre weapon based combat looks the advancement of this game is high and the tactical options it adds but if you give me a firearm and enemies only(basic formula for fps) i rahter play something else when it comes messing with the world its crysis allright, but people wanna simply decide for them selfs like dead space review, so the game is great, and i said i am confused the review is like the preview allright but the latest on the spot said different stuff and the fans dissagre, but am confused so tell me is it scary or not and why not a 9.5, lets go ign, ok the show some stuff answer my questions and show me some of letdowns of the game, reviews should not be opinions re- viewing what they promised us, and saw us the good point and bad points over all i do not accept awesome or sucks as a fact thats opinion i wanna seee the game deeply i suggest you look around for facts and not the opinions, cuz no matter how logical someone is he has its own bad points and good points and ignore the bad points in a game he doesnt like, that applies to everyone, but slightly no to me but people hear what they want to hear only to defend your opinions, well i dont wanna hear anymore 9.5 i want to see the flaws in the game reviews so i see some professional reviewing quality and when they show us the bad points am more prepared and i dont care anymore since they just tole me what the bad points are and not fake promise, eg stalker they say that efter 5 years the game will be huge with open ended world, well its short far form fallout 3 and the worlds is pretty moving forward, whats promised is to move to the dead city just like fallout and have quests but its a back forward fps and not fps rpg so it should be called like that survival fps and not rpg rps, plz if they prepare me ill react better, but in clear sky they said yes its buggy but people ignore that the new stalker has much bigger and believalbe areas and upgrade guns system with better story, how its worse? now that could be my opinion but i dont really know, eg they say grenades are too accurate, duh are they noobs? and i said know they just land alwasy at you and blow up at the time they land, ok thats a bad point!
but i agree about halo 3 things made halo a good game(to me).. first. console fps done right... so i agree there, 2. music, love the music, but i am a musician myself. 3. the story but only if you read all the books as well.
now im not a fan of crysis, i believe it is nothing more than a GPU selling tool, seriously the game came out almost a year ago, and not one computer can play it at 1680x1050 completely max settings, AA and AF full. at 60fps, not gonna happen. much less at 1900x1200.
next.. i hate gta, always have i believe it to be more overrated than any other franchise in gaming.. but thats just me..
i love the Metal gear series.. from the MSX all the way up to PS3, and MGS4 was one of the best next gen games i ever played, read my review of the game and you will see.
now silent hill... i dont agree with your post, silent hill is amazing..
completely destroys resident evil in my opinion. but what i like about silent hill, is the music, the story and the endings. the mood, the endings were fine, if you could understand them, though i am a musician and a poet so it isnt that difficult for me, but would be for the mass public.. lets not forget taht Akira Yamaoka the games musical composer for all the games. is also the story writer, and producer of the entire Silent Hill Series. so the games are created from a musical aspect unlike most games.
but alot of your posts make sense and if you look hard you will see that i have sided with you on most of it..
im not a crysis hater, but i see where it is more business than gaming. and gta is crap, but hey if you like it more power to you..
its not that i dont like open ended games. i liked morrowing and oblivion, and stalker, and looking forward to (the precursors) and (prototype) if you like open ended games you might like those.
but replay value is in the eyes of the gamer.. not the public in my opinion.. so crysis can have higher replay value than gta, to me it would but i hate gta, but lets say that to me silent hill has more replay value than crysis, simply because the mood and music in silent hill intoxicates me.
but you are not beating any fallout game in 40 minutes (fact) and crysis doesnt deserve 1000 hours on it (opinion) crysis is a status symbol, hear me out on this... people like crysis because they can say i can run crysis on high at such and such resolution.

crysis for me is a terrible in terms of fps shoot koreans with guns but it has so many stuff like blow that track by shooting the gas tank kill em all has the story graphics but the problem is its unbalanced eg explosive weapons are more effective to soldiers that nano soldiers, in fact shootin with autos is better than using sniper against nanokoreans,(HOWEVER YOU CHARACTER IS WEAK) duh i tohugh they said cheap knock offs, so crysis is more like a guess on what you CAN do and CANT do eg can i shoot someones leg and make him fall down like cod4 , nope, but you can use a greande to blow up a vehicle and kill everyone on it, while you cant cook the grenades or blow up nanosoldiers with grenade lauchers, jsut spent ammo, also you can shoot tires and gas tanks but not climb up a damn boat and experiance crappy ai, the ai can do this that and being so stupid at times like scripted movements than make them ignore you and play unrealistically, what the point? they said play with the ai dont shoot them so i repeateadly threw a stick to a korean lying at the beach, i was going there cloacked pick it up and again, wtf? in the end i threw a rock to his head and he said ouch and not reacted, 3, 4 times... nice ai.... or they say have freedom, sure cant find another way into the village mostly the island is too fake like a level not lika a real island you jsut go to the paths so someone tell me whats so great about this game to blow upt everything that can be destroyed? just tell me that and ill expect it, i like the first e3 videos not the actual game also compared with far cry level are death boring!
gta? i like a lot one of my favorite games vice city, why? the 80s the characters voice the music the style seemed more like just have fun than killing also i mod EVERYTHING the story the radios the music the vehicles the names the buildings the guns the people, its like creating your own car collection, well i was young then not much fun now, eg the city was small, mostly id say i loved racing around the nice looking areas, san andreas? well i hated the control and the gang wars but it has its parts like eating clothing dating gym, hold on am i playing grand normal borring life? so there was shooting but i hated pc control nothing to do with gta vc it had its points like HUGEEEEE game world so manty stuff in gta iv there not even villages and country side...and retard countryside or highway crashing... i kinda hate sa but it had its points that we dont see in gta iv, the only reason i wanna paly gta iv is cuz of the 10!!! well this game GOT to have quality allright...so i wanna try it but mostly i want bully something diffirent
metal gear is perfect story mostly the first was the bset in story gameplay needs some improvements to toadys standards thats why we got twin snakes, but in terms of story i didnt like 3 for one reason, what the hell does it have to do with the previous its like picking people and throw em in the mixer
what i wanted to see in stalker was fallout 3 but it was so simple not much of story or huge levels or some basic skills a dissapoitmnt for me but the second looks whats promised, well atleast it has real firearm ballistics, about oblivion i got to try it its not that amazing but i played morrrowind which was HUGGGGGEEEE and unique story areas universe creatures but too much rpg i got tired of reading and find the way to your quests, si i dropeed it but the map was huge alllright, eg just cause had huge map and very nice looking but the game wasnt that much, still better than todays crap, another awful but wide game boiling point, so alll i got to say far cry 2 and fallout 3 i hope they gonna be my redemption
prototype trailer was epic but gameplay reminded me the quality of spiderman, not much hype too
the precursors i am looking forwad for this game but "no more secrets no more lies" its low budget so its gonna hurt or take like 5 years like stalker and turn into something else!
and i love a mood, the length of the game doesnt bother me as long as it was good.. but hey atleast we can talk about this unlike in the forums calling each other names and such.

as for huxley, not much new info in the past 8 months, except that it is a mmo/fps/with rpg elents, and its inspired by the book, "A brave new world," by Aldous Huxley. 2 sides, 2 races for each sides. pvp-pve, both only major cities are no fire zones, and you can go into different battlefields.. up to like 50-150 (rumored 200+) in battlefield meets unreal meets style fps action, with mmo base.. with a rpg elements building weapons.. augmenting them, augmenting yourself. armor.
like there is this mod you can attach to your pulse and when you die it sends a signal to blow your body up, a few seconds after you die... kinda like marty dom, but cod4 has super small maps compared to this. so wont be near as annoying. build your characters stats and whatnot. different visions, starlight(nightvision), infra-red, thermal.. and whatnot. have high hopes think the setting could be very interesting.. im reading the book right now. trying to understand the base of the story, that way i can relate better to the game if it ever comes out, if not still a good book lol.

and yes, i almost forgot about project offset.. alot of people talk about crysis best graphics and whatnot, but i honestly think if done right this game can give it a run for the mill, and between you and me, prolly perfrom better while doing it.
i remember seeing several videos on it.. like running down those stair with the bow and arrow, that was clean... and that troll looking dude, that sword, the lighting the sound, although i know sound and that was awesome, i thought to myself after seeing the first vid of it for the first time, that it was a game i could lose myself in a fantasy realm in, i just hope it doesnt get cancelled, or anything like that.
not to mention the space marines as they fight for survival during all this... i would love to play this... if done right.
