New reviews, new favorites, new instruments, and how life has been
As some of you have probably already seen, I have 3 reviews I've posted in the last month or so. The 3 games are Halo 3 ODST, Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and left 4 Dead 2. All 3 of those games are super awesome and are gmes I love to play alot. Add me on XBL so we can play if you have any of those. I also got myself a brand new Fender Stratocaster guitar that looks chill and is awesome.
Even though I've found alot of s**t to do, this year has been my busiest as far as school is concerned. I'm only in my junior year, and jesus christ has it been crazy. AP American History and AP English 3 and Spanish2 are the worst. Basically here's a little rundown of my current schedule.
1st block: Algebra 2. Even though math is definitely not my best subject, its not that bad. I could be acing that class, but because I'm a lazy boy and have better things to do, I prefer not to do some of the assignments. The teacher is alright, though can get boring at times and cause me to fall asleep. I have a good amount of friends in that class, mostly seniors. But all in all, not a bad class.
2nd block (A): On "A" days, I have AP American history. Crazy hard, with full scale Cornell notes and research papers. Its a hard f*****g class, no doubt. The tests are ungodly difficult and pretty much impossible to 100% unless you practically know EVERYTHING from the chapter. Other than that, the teacher makes the class interesting and I have alot of my friends in there, so I guess its an even trade-off.
2nd block (B): On "B" days, I have AP English 3. This is definitely my hardest class, as we have countless Ap essays, reports on novels we read (most of which I do horrible on becuz I don't read the book assigned), oral exams, and ungodly difficult AP exams. The teacher is alright, can be an a**hole when he wants to be. Same people from 2nd block (A) though, so if it wasn't for that, I'd drop the damn class altogether.
3rd block: Executive Internship. This class can be summed up in 3 words: EASIEST CLASS EVER. All it is is just I have to be an aide, helper or errand boy for my guidance department, which is easy considering all I do is answer phones, make copies and run notes down to teachers. The main person behind this class assigns us crap which if you don't do you can still ace the "class". The exam is pie. Alot of people I know in here so a good deal overall.
4th block. Spanish 2. Ugh. Learning Spanish is more of a pain than I thought it would be. I can understand Spanish but I can;t speak it if my life depended on it, probably becuz I sleep in that class alot. Other than that, its easy to pass, but becuz - once again - I'm a lazy boy and have better things to do, I usually don't do my assignments or I do them and turn them in later. Good amount of people I know in there, so I guess that's good. lol
If you read all that, then kudos to you, fellow gamer. lol
Well, hello everyone. What's up?
Ok, um, I've sort of forgotten about this page and I've been busy, So I decided to update this damn thing. Wat's up guys and gals? U guys been doing good. My first week of my junior year went pretty good. Got golf starting next week. I have xbox live gold as some of you have been seeing already. My gamertag is SirLancealot325. Hit me up so we can play together!
Top 10 best heavy metal albums
The title says it all; a list of the best heavy metal albums. The 10 best, in my opinion. My opinion, not yours. If you wish to voice your opinion, write a comment congratulating me; shun the list or even make your own. Read this at your own risk....
Ace Of Spades by Motorhead
Release Year: 1980
Memorable track(s): Ace Of Spades
Rust in Peace by Megadeth
Release year: 1990
Memorable track(s): Hanger 18, Holy Wars.... The Punishment Due
Machine Head by Deep Purple
Release year: 1972
Memorable track(s): Smoke On The Water, Highway Star
Screaming For Vengeance by Judas Priest
Release year: 1982
Memorable track(s): You've Got Another Thing Comin', Electric Eye
Among the Living by Anthrax
Release Year: 1987
Memorable track(s): Caught In A Mosh, Indians, Among the Living, Imitation Of Life
Ride the Lightning by Metallica
Release Year: 1984
Memorable track(s): Well, everything, honestly.
Rounding out the top 5 is one of Metallica's best efforts, better than any of there other crap they've released after "The Black Album" (though "Fuel is good). Anyways, its an awesome album that shows the rise of thrash metal, and the rise of one of the best thrash metal bands ever. If you like thrash metal, there's a good chance you'll like this one.
Reign In Blood by Slayer
Release year: 1986
Memorable track(s): Angel Of Death, Raining Blood
Oh boy, I smell some controversy with this one. Well, I don't give a damn....
Reign In Blood is Slayer's best album by a mile, and is one of the most fastest and best thrash metal albums ever. Who doesn't love the opening scream, guitar solo and the double bass drum part right after the guitar solos on the opening track, "Angel Of Death"? You've just played "Raining Blood" on Guitar Hero 3; the Mosh 1 section is a b***h. But still, even though "Reign In Blood" clocks in at about 30 minutes (which is relatively short), you'll want to listen to it again and again afterwards. If you don't like this album, then you don't deserve to say you like thrash metal.
Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Release year: 1971
Memorable track(s): Iron Man, Paranoid, War Pigs
This and "Machine Head" (see #
are one of the first heavy metal albums ever to be released. And, damn, are they fabulous, as is this one. Who doesn't love the main riff to "Iron Man", the 7-minute long protest song "War Pigs", and the simply-designed but equally good "Paranoid"? By far one of the best heavy metal albums, no one will be able to replace this album. Be jealous, other bands.
The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Release year: 1982
Memorable track(s): The Number Of The Beast, Run To the Hills, Hallowed Be Thy Name
I know you Maiden fans were wondering "where was a Maiden album going to be?" Well, here you go. This album is by far their best album, and is mighty close to the top spot, at #2. For those of you who've never heard of this album, you'd be wondering if the band -- or, me -- was Satanic. But, I'm not and they're not either. Satanic can be answered by listening to any Slayer album besides Reign In Blood. The intro to the title track is absolutely fantastic, and is really fun to play on real guitar and on GH3. I could say this album is a God-given gift.... but then again, maybe not.... lol
Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Release year: 1986
Memorable track(s): Um, everything
I really don't know what to say about this album. Its just that good. Better than any metal album released ever (and forever) Master Of Puppets is where everything comes together. The solo in the title track is f*****g insane, and I can't imagine how difficult that could be to play on GH4. But anyways, Battery and Damage Inc. are some of the best thrash songs around, and beat any attempt for any new band to surpass this masterpiece. So, quite simply, Master Of Puppets truly is the Master of Metal and, in my opinion, the best metal album ever made, bar none.

Glitchspot
Okay, something glitchful is going on. A couple of days ago, I went from level 15 straight to level 17 in one night. Then last night, I went from 17 down to level one. WTF?!
Now, I went from 1 back up to level 19, and I'm about halfway through. I huess its preapring me for the metal slime part, and everyone who has surpassed the level has said that it takes a while to get past the level. So that's whats going on. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to glitchspot.
COD 4 and SMG
Such awesomeness, Super Mario Galaxy and Call Of Duty 4 are. Their both awesome! I purchased both of them on Nov. 12th, and I've played the crap out of both of them. COD 4 I just posted a review on (please read) and Super Mario Galaxy will be getting a review from me tomorrow. Call of Duty 4 is the best COD game to date. Outsatnding gameplay and campaign. As for Super Mario Galaxy, its probably one of the greatest Mario games I've ever been able to play. Easily beating out SM64 and SMS, Super Mario Galaxy is the agem to beat on the Wii. So if you're looking for a game for your Wii or 360 (or PS3),get SMG and COD 4, for you won't be dissapointed.

Oh damn...
Finally, I get a break today. Sorry guys, I've been absent for about 2 weeks. Not posting or anything. But, like I mentioned, life is becoming very busy. Soccer practice, school, homework and now, track conditioning. But today, I ran a mile in 7:43! I was 2nd among my group but 1st among the males. Also, I've already posted 2 music videos which I didn't let any of you know about, with a 3rd one available today
1st one here
2nd video here
3rd video here
If anyone wants a music video made but can't make one, let me know, and if I have the time, I'll make it. Just let me know the game and at least the song. Thanks, and have a nice day.

My 1st nine weeks as a freshman.
After an exhausting first nine weeks, it is over. Now I begin anew again, with only one new class: PE. That sucks, because I had health and now I've lost about 75% of my friends from health class
But I'll make new ones. Other than that, every other class stays the same until christmas break, and I can't wait until after christmas break....

So many things....
I'm so damn tired right now, it ain't something to laugh at. But then again, most of u, who are reading this right now, are probably tired as well. I've got exams coming in 2 days, I've got soccer tryouts, golf practice, guitar lessons, and everything in between. But, in all of what I do, I still find time of peace (and for that occasional cup of joe
). Anyways, I'm tired, and even though I haven't been posting as much as I used to, I'm sorry. But, life is becoming extremely busy. That's norma.
Peace out![]()

Darker Days Ahead
This is an extremely long blog, and took some time to create. But, I want to do this for a few reasons. Like I mentioned in one of my previous blogs, my friend John and I are starting a band. No, we're not going to release an album by the end of this year or even next year. We've already written14 songs. I've posted each of them below. tell me what you think of them. I want HONEST opinions. If you want to say all the songs suck, tell me. If you want to say one song rocks but another sucks, feel free to. Whatever your opinion is, I won't judge you.
Btw, I've also listed who wrote the songs.
1.Forever He Will Be My Hero
2. Lost In A Dream.
3. Vortex Of Pain
4.The Covenant
5. Long Lost Road (in-development)
6. Glory Road
7. Emotions
8. Consequences or Mistakes
9. So Much Pain
10. Darker Days Ahead
11. Darker Days Ahead (no, you're not expierencing deja vu, this is a different version)
12. I'm Not Perfect
13. Spot On My Heart (MIA)
14. Second Chance (MIA)
1. Forever He Will Be My Hero. Composer: Lance (you may recognize this song from F-Zero GX)
In this world, you've got to be strong. You've got to fight to keep your spirit alive. And you might feel like there's nothing left to go and fight for. But its the fight that keeps us ready and on guard.
(Pre-chorus)
Even I can feel the power. When I think of you, I see no fear.... feel no pain.
(Chorus)
Forever he will be my hero (better believe he knows a way). And not just only for tonight. And now that I'm not just a dreamer (and I know I got what he's got). And not just only for tonight. (end chorus)
In this life you have to stand tall. In a world full of adversities. You can't just give in and call it quits when the going gets tough. You have to stand up and push bakc on the incoming world.
(repeat pre-chorus)
(repeat chorus)
I've got power.... I'm gonna fight to win... I'm gonna fight.... (repeat x2) To the end
(repeat pre-chorus and chorus)
Forever he will be my hero (forever he will be my hero) and now that I'm not just a dreamer (and now that I'm not just a dreamer)
(fade out to end)
2. Lost In A Dream. Composer: John
Verse 1
Lost in a dream that never ends. Nothing is what it seems. Searching my head for the words that you said that night, that night....
Tears filled my eyes as we said our last goodbyes. This sad scene replays over and over again of you walking away with your hips rocking side to side.
Verse 2
My body aches from mistakes that I've made. Betrayed by lust and love again and again. We lied to each other so much time after time again that in nothing we trustcould ever happen.
I try to let go but I know that I can't because we'll never end 'til we're dust spread out over every mountian.
(Chorus)
But I wish I could trust you more than I do now. (repeat verse 2)
(end chorus)
How could this be happening to me like this? I can't believe this is true it hurts so much Trust hurts so much but why? Why does this have to end this way?
3. Vortex of Pain Composer: John
Verse 1
Internal combustion sparks; multiple personalities start; terror inside of me freezes; a mask of silent agony comes over me.
Curse the falling rain on me. The vortex of pain is so painful.
(Chorus)
A pact for power was made. It's time the price was paid and debt was due. Searching the domain for more answers, the vortex of pain appears and causes so much pain.
(end chorus)
A message was made and written in torment to cause so much pain. Howl out dinges of pain like the horns of jericho and distorted faces are captured. Writhing in rage of fury. Walls of purgatory jsut so happen to tumble down and hit the ground, endless death just might happen. The jewels of a crown are so priceless as a vortex of pain!
(repeat chorus x2
4. The Covenant Composer: John
Run... hide. All that was sacred to us; see the signs, the covenant has been broken by mankind, leaving us with no shoulder to rest our head on (repeat x2)
Who's got my back now? When all we have left is deception, so disconnected. So what is the truth now?
There's still time, all that has been devestated; can be recreated. Realize. We can pick up the broken pieces of our lives. Giving ourselves to each other... ourselves to each other, to rest our head (repeat x2)
(repeat verse highlighted in green)
Tell me the truth now.... (repeat x2)
5. Long Lost Road Composer: John (remember, this one is still in-development)
On a long lost road, we all get lost until our saviors come
Like the wind, they are fast. But on a long lost road, it could be very long.
But time is on our side, for we do not grow old. But in the years we have waited...
Long have we waited, though, yet they have not come. We have thought that they got lost.
6. Glory Road Composer: Lance (Me)
I see everybody, empty, sad and depressed. Some happy, some not.
I see myself, hopeless, empty and alone, with nothing left to lift me up
But I have one thing I hang onto; that drives me, makes me carry on.
(Chorus)
It's something that only a few people want to do, but its something I want to accomplish. No, its not greed, violence or drugs. I want to travel down glory road.
I take the hits of discouraging words from everybody
And I shrug them off because no reason to care about words like that. It's hard to care about people who don't care about you.
I hope one day I can make things right, But I'll let my glory prove those people wrong
(repeat chorus)
You can't let people's comments bring you down. You can't let those words bring you down. Shoot for what you want, and don't worry about what discouragements come your way (the ends justify the means)
(repeat chorus x2)
7. Emotions Composer: John
I see different people; they all have different emotions. But the one I see the most is happiness; its the joy of having fun
Not everyone has happiness; some havea sad emotion. But its a different sadness for the people who have to live with pain.
But just sometimes you have to fight for whats right, because if you don't then more people will quit.
(chorus)
Think of happiness and joy. Think of happiness and joy.
The thing is that everyone is empty. They then become just another part of life, but in order to not become empty they think of happiness and joy.
(repeat chorus)
8. Consequences or Mistakes Composer: John
This song is currently unavailable for listing (MIA)
9. So Much Pain Composer: John
So mcuh pain, its like someone took a gun to your head. I've got this killer pain; why must it cause so much pain?
(Chorus)
So much pain it causes; it can't stop like needles going through your hand. So much pain, it doesn't go away. I've tried for so long, that I've given up all hope.
Why must it, how can it, so many questions streaming through my head, why does this have to happen to me?
(repeat chorus)
I can't take this anymore; its like my head is going to explode. I didn't ask for this misery. Why me?!
(guitar solo)
(repeat chorus x2)
I've been caused so much pain, and all I want to know is why?
10. Darker Days Ahead Composer: John
So many darker days ahead; I wish I would of chosen a better path in life, but I still see no light ahead of me
(pre-chorus)
I thought I had seen a light but it was nothing because I wish I had a different way in life.
(Chorus)
I tried so much to get them out, but they condemned themselves to the life road they took when they called it quits and gave up.
(Instrumental part)
(repeat pre-chorus and chorus)
11. Darker Days Ahead version 2 Composer: Lance (Me)
I think I can see darker days ahead. After all the mistakes that I have made.
I lost my way on glory road. And my last love has left me all alone.
(pre-chorus)
I try to retrace my steps back, but I'am so lost. I need a light to shine through....
(Chorus)
I really miss the glory I once had, and the love I used to have. I am still walking but.... I can see darker days ahead.
(end chorus)
I reminesce about better days. The ones that made me believe that I had a purpose. But now they're all just memories. And nothing is as sweet as it used to be.
(repeat pre-chorus and chorus)
I'm starting to get colder. As I am getting older. I need some light. To bring warmth & love bakc to me. I need someone, somebody, to help me. But until then... I walk alone.
(repeat chorus)
I see darker days ahead.... no, no (repeat x5)
12. I'm Not Perfect Composer: Lance (Me)
I don't know anybody anymore. Hell, they don't even know me anymore. I've done wrong things to some people in the past, and I regret all of them.
(Pre-chorus)
Its hard to say "I'm sorry" when you don't know what to say....
(Chorus)
It's all just a big misunderstanding. I'm not perfect (never have been, never will be). I don't know what's worth fighting for, except to make my wrongs right again.
(End chorus)
I've had people betrya me, stab my back and shatter my heart, but that won't make me give up. It's one thing just to say "I'm sorry", but another thing to really mean it.
(Repeat pre-chorus and chorus)
I know this won't make any difference, but I'll say it anyways.
Though some people hate me for what I've done to them in the past, I'll never hate anyone who has hurt me, and I'm sorry to all the people I've hurt, and I mean that with every ounce of my beating heart.
(Short guitar solo)
(repeat pre-chorus and chorus)
I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry (fade out to end)
13. Spot On My Heart Composer: Lance (Me)
This song is currently unavailable for listing (MIA).
14. Second Chance Composer: Lance (Me)
This song is currently unavailable for listing (MIA)

The Opposite Sex
Ok, I'm a little confused. How come some girls always like guys who treat them like s**t? Why? In all of my years of dating, in every relationship I've been in, I've treated my girlfriend the way I want to be treated. And even though most girls say I'm "too sensitive" its better than treating my girl like s**t, right? If its not, tell me and I'll change my ways. But I'm not like that. Please, tell me why (btw, venom3161994316, good luck with that girl you're asking out. Hope everthing turns out for the best. Also for everyone else who believes what I just typed, and may you all find happiness with that someone).

Dammit!
6 years later....
I can't believe six years have passed since 9-11, that infamous day that not only changed all Americans lives, but mine as well. It made me believe that there are people in this world who want to see me -- and every other American --dead. When it happened, I was 8 years old, in the 3rd grade. I didn't know that it happened until I got home. My mom was upset and crying, my dad was wondering whether his brother was alive because the Pentagon got hit, and my uncle was in the Pentagon on that morning (but he was okay).
Six years ago, thousands of lives were lost.
Six years ago, terrorists got what they wanted: fear from the U.S.
Six years ago, we weren't people anymore. We were all Americans
Six years ago, we wanted revenge on Al-qaida and Osama bin Laden.
Six years ago, President Bush vowed to bring the terrorists to justice, dead or alive.
But six years later? Nothing is the same. Nothing. No one wants to fight anymore. No one wants to bring in bin Laden, who is still out there. No one... wants justice? That question is based on your opinion.
What are your opinion on this ordeal?
My first two weeks at school.
I see everybody else creating blogs about school, so I guess I'll create one as well. My classes are seperated into blocks. I have four of them. I'll say the what the blcoks are, and give a little description about my blocks.
I have to get up at 6:00 am sharp. My brother drives me to school, and we get there at about 7:20. My day begins...
1st block: My first block is health. Its not really the best class I have, due to the fact I don't have very many friends in that class. The teacher though keeps the entertainment rate high, providing laughs to prevent me from getting bored. the work ain't that hard though. I'm practically aceing that class. Anyways, thats my first block. Onto my second block...
2nd block: My second block is my computer class, which is probably my best class. Why? Well, I've got all of my friends in that class, and I end up usually LMAO most of the time. Their's also these two football players in my class; they keep blurting out random stuff at the teacher adding more laughs. That class is fairly easy. Onto my third block...
3rd block: My third block is split into two mini-blocks.
3rd block A: My block 3A is geography. That class is probably my second best, due to the fact I've got friends in that class, and the teahcer is very entertaining. She always has something cool to do, and mostly she tries to act serious, but that just makes things more funnier (like that pilot in the movie "Airplane"). Onto block 3B...
3rd block B: My block 3B is my algebra one class. It's basically the same as blcok 3A (same people), just a different teacher. the teacher is okay, not really worth noting about. but still, better than my 4th block. Anyways, lunch is next![]()
Lunch: Just as the name implies. No big explanation here. Onto my worst class: 4th block...
4th blcok: My fourth and final block is physical science. The class is fairly bad. The teacher must think that me and the other people in the class are 4-year olds, beacuase he comes up with dumass excuses that eventually make me fall asleep (luckily, my seat is in the back of the classroom). He constantly repeats what he said 4 days ago, and also tries to sound funny, but falls flat on his face at that. The only good thing about 4th block is that I've got a good number of friends in that class that feel exactly the same way I do. Anyways, thats my day at school.
If you thought that schedule was the best it could be, you're incorrect. I don't get any of my good classes until after Christmas break ( AP English, Chorus and Comp Musicianship). But other than that, I'll survive.
I'm also starting a band with a couple of my buddies. We've already written about 10 songs already. Once we all know how to play electric guitar and other various instruments, we'll form and start recording a CD. Wish me luck.
Peace out![]()

Video games are actually healthy for you.
I had my geography teacher tell my class this: is that stuff that makes you think can strengthen your brain's thinking ability. She didn't say this, but that also includes video games. When you go up against a boss, you think " Okay, how I'm I going to kick this thing's ass?" You just thought of how to beat the boss. Also, your hand and eye coordination is also honed because you have to watch the screen while pressing buttons on your controller. When you're the only player on your team alive, you've got to figure out how to survive and win the battle. So even though people say "Video games are bad for you", they're actually healthy for you. So keep that in mind when someone says that comment

Phoenix Down
Even though my profile says I've been a member since July 8th, 2005, I've only been on GS for about 2 months, and today, I'm at lvl 10! Now I can post videos (which I'll have fun with). I'm also having plans for starting a union. So, be on the lookout for new union about the greatest video games ever made!

A new beginning.
OK... here I go. On Monday, August 20th, I start my final years in school before I go off to college. I feel a little nervous but I feel that everything will be great. How ironic, huh? Someone in my yearbook wrote "Can you believe that we are going to be freshman?" Honestly, no. About 6 years ago, I thought "getting to high school will take forever". And now, I'm only 3 days away from starting 9th grade. How come I look at my life and it feels like its going so slow, yet its going so fast? Sounds weird, but its true. Anyways, wish me luck.

100 posts and a PS3!!!
Two things happened today that makes today a great day. I reached 100 posts. I know what your thinking: "Lance, that's only 100 posts! Thats not even close to my number of posts!" But still, I've reached 100 and looking to get to 1000 one day soon. But 100 posts is not even close to my other landmark. After waiting for nearly 10 months, I finally got a PS3! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!. I also heard about the recall and that there's people looking to destroy my PS3. Their going to have to kill me first before they can even look at my PS3, because I had to spend $600 on my PS3. But still, a great day today and looking forward to multiple PS3 games down the road. So I'm being patient.
