Akiko Suwanai.
Just discovered this amazing violinist called Akiko Suwanai, here are some clips of her performance of Sibelius' Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 47

This makes me sad...
Serving for the first time this year on a Sunday Service.
I was the bassist for today's Sunday service worship team, was asked by the worship leader to substitute for someone. Haven't played on a Sunday service for about 10 months( I played in the youth service though), so I was very nervous when I got on stage(my hands were shaking). But got a lot more comfortable after we started playing. I played well and got a few compliments for it, but the I can't say the same for the whole band thought, the vocalist kept entering at the wrong beat.
The practice session we had on Thursday night was also fun, thought it was longer than it should had been(the pianist was late by almost an hour) it was still quite for nice to be around people I like for a change.
I also received the new schedule for November and December, and I will be the pianist for twice in this two months.(at the end of both months)
I know playing in a worship band's purpose isn't to make friends or perform, but it still felt very nice to be able to play on stage and spend time together with other people again.
And for those wondering why I haven't served or had no friends for 10 years, it was because I moved.
Happy Birthday to me...
and to my dad!

Just got back from my Grade 6 ABRSM piano exam.
I think I did well, not sure if I will be able to get a merit though. The sight reading and aural was not as hard as I thought it would be, but I still didn't think it was easy.
And I really liked the piano they used for the exam, it feels great and wish I can have one like that in the future.
The examiner was quite nice too.
