Why I've Been Gone So Dang Long....
Hey, its me Lucey...There is a perfectly logical totally understandable reason I haven't been on...but I'm happy to be blogging again! The entire month of June I was in Asia, half of July I was in Florida or Missouri, the other part of July and most of August I was having relationship issues...really bad ones, still am really, then school started and life got more complicated. But...I HAVE been watching Smallville and Supernatural...though there has been a bit of a pall put over Smallville. Everytime I watch it it reminds me of HIM. Yeah, relationship issues again. Soooooo...thus has been my life. Glad to talk to ya'll again.
Peace,
Lu
WHAHOOo!

Frustrating to the Upteenth Degree
Jumping the Shark
I had a question in my earlier blog about what 'jumping the shark' means. In Happy Days, a seventies show, Fonzie(sp?), a main character literally jumped a shark. Nowadays when someone says that a show has jumped a shark, they mean they doubt that the show will ever be any better than it is at that point. It's usually a topic of discussion, and I know I'll probably undergo the Supernatural version of the Spanish Inquisition for saying what I'm about to say, but I think that very probably Supernatural has jumped it's shark. I hope that I'm wrong...way wrong, but I don't think I am. I've seen it happen on many a good show. Only a few shows go out on top or after ten years...the only shows I can think of that have had ten good years are Seventh Heaven, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, M*A*S*H*, and The Simpsons. They all had/have something that was good and they stuck with it...well, most of the time. Changing a formula is just asking to jump the shark which imho, has been jumped. Any thoughts? Do you think Supernatural has jumped a shark? Perhaps Jaws (I mean...we're just speculating
).

EDIT: I forgot the show Friends. Forgive me!
