Left the damn thing at work one night by accident and some thief stole it. If i ever find out who did it id break his hand...but thats not what im here for. I was gonna buy another rather bulky 160gb Ipod but i dont need that much space and tbh its really big for my pocket.
So since it got stolen i had to revert back to my huge 30 gb zune....now this thing is almost twice the size of my ipod ****c but whatever...i updated the firmware and to my surprise they added alot of new features such as games and the marketplace (pretty much where you can buy music and apps). Now the original zune goes back several years and Microsoft has still been releasing updates for it. Where as i had my ipod ****c for over a year and it got only 1 update and it didn't really add anything.
That being said i decided to give the zunes a shot again, seeing as how i fell in love with my 30gb zune again. I got the 32gb zune hd with some Sennheiser CX300-B Earbuds. These things kick ass compared to all my previous headphones....realllyyyy nice bass and great mids. So far im lovin everything about the zune hd...totally worth every penny. It does full desktop internet browsing, has several apps but could use more (im sure more is on the way) and it does full 3d graphics almost up to psp's caliber. Very impressed.

Well on that note everyone have a great holiday season and enjoy yourselfs. I know i will. And BTW 4 month anniversy with my girlfriend Tuesday =) Shes awesome ![]()
Getting really stressed out about the APFT.
It's actually kinda ridicukous. I'm afraid of not doing well at this. ![]()
Who did it first?
Anyone who watches the anime Erin The Beast Player/Kemono No Souja Erin can't deny Okami's heavy inlfuence on the anime in terms of art and presentation but one thing remains a puzzle. There's a striking resemblence in the story of Beast Player Erin and Team Ico's upcoming PS3 exlusive, The Last Guardian.

Both stories revolve around a human becoming attached to an animal of some sort and show the main characters as they interact with each other and overcome the hardships they face together. In addition to that, the design of both creatures is similar and there's a heavy emphasis on the setting and theme in both the videogame and the previously mentioned anime. Do you think it's coincidental?
The Beast Player Erin is an anime based on a novel that has the same title. It's written by Nahoko Uehashi who's best known for the popular novel and TV series Seirei No Moribito. The novel was published in year 2006 while Team Ico's The Last Guardian is yet to be released.
Judgement:
I think it's a pure coincedence. These kind of situations are very common among concept artists to a point that I would call it unavoidable. It's not surprising to spot out major similarities between art works that are done by various artists as chances that you have two people who are thinking of the same idea are high. Not to mention that it's very likely for ideas to be similar when the source of inspiration is one.
I'm a huge fan of Team Ico and a fan of Nahoko Uehashi and I welcome all sorts of good entertainment whether it's original or not. Enjoyment comes first.

The title sounds like it belongs into Mario's world.
A friend borrowed me his Wii a couple of months ago. It was fun; I'm the master of Wario's Smooth Moves, and Zelda was pretty amazing, although I didn't even get to the first boss, because I spent most of the time fishing. It's fun, OK?
But despite the panem et circenses the Wii brought, I decided to get a new computer. I won't bother to mention the specifications: it can run everything smoothly; isn't that enough? I also upgraded to Vista, and despite what the people are saying about it, I'm very much satisfied. No problems whatsoever; any field you care to mention.
What you call a tower, we call 'kuciste'. It could roughly be translated as 'the house', but I prefer the title 'houseling'. Why? Because of this here baby (they won't let me insert the image!).
Not only that it's small, it's a BLOCK! I'll be the coolest flippin' kid on the block!
But enough about me. Let's talk about your houselings.
Before I start my slight rant about this game;
1st. I have never played the game.
2nd. I may just be doing this to justify being a 360 owner and may have slight biased views.
3rd. I HATE stealth games because I can't play them and only succeed in playing casual games and if they venture into the hardcore then I automatically fail and get a friend to play them whilst I sit and watch and enjoy many of the great looking visuals and story. My friend loves to play my games and I love that I have a friend that can complete any game with enough time, a night round mine will usually suffice.
Ok.
Firstly I'd like to start with a happy thought. MGS is a talented series of that has enlightened many to go out and enjoy games. The characters are in depth, heck I own Sons of Liberty and enjoyed it. Right so firstly, the PS3. I bought a 360 because in the beginning there were no games for the PS3, all of the games i wanted were either ported on 360 (DMC4) or are already on the 360. The blur-ray technology was not going to be used by me and many of the features to create an extensive price tag either were on the 360 already or were just not going to be used. The size of the PS3 was also a major issue, I have a small room and it would probably leave me with less breathing space then I already have.
Right so onto the game, no wait first I'll talk about the ratings it has accumulated over the past days. So far it has gotten a huge number of 10 or close reviews with a slight jolt of an 8 here and there. So this is all great for the game but ever since GTA4, which I have bought and played and think it should be an 8 at best, reviewers seem to be using the 10 score excessively over the past month, GTA and now, or in Gamespots case no doubt soon to be, MGS4. The last 10 before this was given out a decade ago to Legend of Zelda OoT which was, in it's time a masterpiece and from what I've seen from GTA4 it is far from masterpiece but maybe a slight fun time waister you go back to every so often. Anyway back onto MGS4.
MGS has been a great series that Hideo Kojima should be proud of but the storyline of the series has never grabbed me, this is a personal statement which I'm sure you'll disagree with. The fact that one person can get killed of then suddenly brought to life again is something that in my eyes was never successful, when a character dies, usually after a long and grueling boss battle, they come back to life, I feel as though it mocks the player slightly.

Nice looking screenshot I must admit but he's a frikkin Vampire! A guy who just won't die!
One of my friends bought the PS3 specifcally for MGS4 and I thought this may well be a bad move on his part. He is so in love with the series that he is mssing the joys of many other great games that are easily accessible on the 360. Instead he chooses to wait for the one game he hope will save the console, I was expecting Haze to be one of the better PS3 exclusives but apparenty that didn't go so well.
Ok so I have been hating on the PS3 and MGS4 quite a bit but some people, like my friend, are blinded that this will be their saviour, this will be their messiah, but in the end it is a game that will no doubt get raving reviews. It will be a good story to the people that love MGS and it will be their saviour, the PS3 will sell more than it will ever do in the future, unless ofcourse theres a MGS5.
O I heard the mandatory install and the grey and brown graphics can probably get ou really depressed, Assassins Creed almost blinded me.
Well this was just one of those things I had to get of my chest. I hope no one hates me for this and I respect all those who love the PS3 and MGS4 it's just the several at my school are total idiots that will argue and argue for their PS3, Callum!
Sims.
Dashing through my front door, excitedly tripping over boxes with anxiety of playing the game of the year. upon opening it and
putting it in the 360 was probably the second most greatest time of my life. Up to now this was a happy moment for me and this
blog may sound somewhat over exaggerated but this game is that good, all the hype that has been building up to now exploded!
dam sleeping tonight might be hard
Crysis... wow...
I will begin with a side note - I built a computer recently to get back into pc gaming. I went and bought very high end parts such as a GeForce 8800 GT and hoped that games like Bioshock and FEAR could bring me back to pc gaming and justify the fact that I had spent nearly $1000 on a computer. And while both games were great entertainment, I still had the lingering thought that I could have had a nearly equal experience on the Xbox 360 that I already owned. I mean the difficulty of patching, updating, and installing games onto a pc is always slightly frustrating - whereas on the Xbox 360 it is just a simple matter of inserting the game disk and you are instantly playing. Also a lack of (oddly satisfying) achievements instantly made me feel like I was playing on an inferior system in the past. And I still believe that a much better experience with Bioshock can be had on the Xbox 360, but, Crysis has most definitely justified my recent spending spree and Reinvigorated my passion for PC gaming.
Crysis has the most interesting new feature of any game I have played in recent memory. It introduces the Nano-suit, a powered armor suit (think halo's mjolnir armor) that can enhance the performance/abilities of the player in a few key categories. The suit supports Maximum Speed, maximum strength, maximum armor, and a cloaking system. You can switch between each one at the press of a button but you can only use one at a time and each one depletes power from the suits main energy reserves. So, while sneaking around completely invisible is very fun it does not last for forever and you must find a place to hide and recharge before you run out of power. the same goes for things like maximum armor and speed, you are invincible for a couple of hits or fast for a short burst, but afterwards you are very vulnerable until you suit has time to recharge. This system makes you feel like an unstoppable force, but if you don't think smart and fast a few KPA soldiers can take you down in a matter of seconds, so while you may be the ultimate force you are not unstoppable.
The story revolves around an alien invasion, but I won't say much more to avoid ruining it for people who haven't played it yet, but you play as a US Special Forces squad member who is parachuted onto a remote island in the middle of the ocean to rescue a few scientific hostages. The North Korean Army invades the island to try to take over the unearthing of a mysterious power source buried under the island, but the Koreans seem to have run into some trouble and it is your job to figure out what is happening on the island as well as rescue the prisoners. You guys can play the game and figure out the rest.
Crysis also has some of the most beautiful graphics I have ever seen. The jungle looks absolutely fantastic with swaying tree limbs, realistic shadows, and awesome lighting in general. But the jungle is not the only thing that looks great; the alien ships and the aircraft carrier you board look absolutely fantastic and really blew my mind. For example, when I escaped from the alien ship for the first time a cut scene kicked in and the graphics were so amazing that I didn't believe that it was running real-time and I actually thought that it was a high quality prerendered video until all of the sudden the framerate stuttered momentarily and brought me back to the realization that "yes, this was running on my machine!".
My system specs are as follows:
Core 2 Duo E4500 - 2.2 GHz, 2mb L2 cache, 800 MHz fsb;
2 GB PNY DDR2 677 MHz;
BFG GeForce 8800GT OC 512Mb;
160 GB 7200 rpm HDD;
Integrated sound
BFG 650 watt SLI certified Power supply
Intel 945GCCR main board ( HAHA I know, it was $25 so shut up!)
I was able to run the game on my desktop with all settings turned to medium, with the exception of textures, shaders and motion blur being turned to Very High at 1024x768 with 4xAA. I found that the framerate could be much higher at 1024x768 with 4xAA than 1280x1024 with no AA and looked about the same on my pretty lame 17" Samsung monitor. Also, on my hp laptop I was able to run the game on low settings around 20 fps at 800x600 (dv9207us – GeForce go 7600 256mb, core duo 1.73 GHz, 2 GB ddr2 667) but with overclocking I was able to achieve about an average of around 31 fps. So, crysis seems to like my overclocked settings more than any other game and probably showed the highest performance increases of any game on my laptop
Also the multiplayer is very fun and also quite strange to get used to. All of the nanosuit powers are available to each player and it is interesting to see how each person tries to use a different method to win. Also each level is carefully constructed and very pretty. My favorite level being the fully rendered aircraft carrier, complete with a full flight deck and very expansive interior network of chambers.
So, to sum this all up, crysis is innovative, very fun, has great graphics and is a game that cannot be missed. And I really can't wait for the sequel. So this is a message to crytek - PLEASE MAKE THE SEQUEL!
Well everybody, I thought I'd inform you that I'm doing much better now. My problems got worked out(to a degree) and it's safe to say that I'm still around and plan on being so for a long time to come. Sorry for any worries I might have arroused with the last blog, I wasn't in the best of moods when I made it.
In other resurrection news my computer is once again in the land of the living. My computer had died last umm, not sure when but last something, Friday or Saturday I think when my parents decided to be whores and look through all the stuff on it, turns out they ended up ****ing it up big time but I just got it fixed so no need to worry about that either.
In some ending news Dis is once again on my hate list, surprise surprise![]()

Well now... Lets just all play the games we own and are going to own in the future and shut up. Just play.
And lets eat some popcorn and special brownies ok.
And i cant wait for 07 to be over, all the fun games there will be, ha.
Since I can't afford to buy new games, the only way for me to improve my gamer score is to earn achievement points for games I already have, in particular XBLA games. That being said, most of my XBLA games are from the 1st few batches of XBLA games, you know when the achievement points were freaking hard to earn, which is whay I didn't have them in the first place.
1 game that really pissed me off is Hexic HD. It really is a terrible game, but I want the achievement points, this game is both crap and hard, which isn't a good combination, I set out to earn 2 achievements, collect 1m points across all games, and complete 100 games, they were easy enough to get, but goddamn they take freaking ages. I can't believe this is from the same guy who made Tetris, what the hell was he thinking making this monstrosity. Good news though, I managed to get 4 achievements out of it, which gives a total of 9 (since I already had 5 to begin with). Theres 3 achievements left, but I don't wanna put myself through that again.
So next a wanna tackle Marble Blast Ultra. This game is pretty decent, but it get pretty boring pretty quickly, but atleast its bearable.
After that, its back to Battlefield 2: MC. Most of the achievements I have to get in this game are online achievements. I don't mind that so much, but why they hell did they have to make them so hard, I mean "Kill 10 people, without dying". How are supposed to do that, people tend to shoot back, plus everytime you kill someone it gives away your current position, which means you have to move, and most likely get killed along the way. The only way I can think of to get those achievements is by way of the cheeky, but I don't know enough people with the game to do that.
I really don't mind hard achievements, Infact its good they make you work for your points. I just hate achievements that are so ridiculously hard that they're not worth bothering with. Or the ones that just take absolutely forever to unlock. Surely the people who make these games must be aware that gamers aren't known for out patience
A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, "I'll give you $800 to drop that towel." After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob. After a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, "Who was that?" "It was Bob the next door neighbor," she replies. "Great!" the husband says, "did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?"

Lesson 2:
A priest offered a Nun a lift. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg. The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg. The nun said, "Father, remember Psalm 129?" The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again. The nun once again said, "Father, remember Psalm 129?" The priest apologized. "Sorry sister but the flesh is weak." Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily and went on her way. On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, "Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory."
Moral of the story: If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.
Lesson 3:
A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, "I' ll give each of you just one wish." "Me first! Me first!" says the admin clerk. "I want to be in the Bahamas , driving a speedboat, without a care in the world." Puff! She's gone. "Me next! Me next!" says the sales rep. "I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life." Puff! He's gone. "OK, you're up," the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, "I want those two back in the office after lunch."
Moral of the story: Always let your boss hav e the first say.
Lesson 4:
An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing. A small rabbit
saw the eagle and asked him, "Can I also sit like you and do nothing?"
The eagle answered: "Sure, why not." So, the rabbit sat on the ground
below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on
the rabbit and ate it.
Moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.
Lesson 5:
A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy." "Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull. "They're packed with nutrients." The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree. He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.
Moral of the story: Bull Crap might get you to the top,
but it won't keep you there!
Lesson 6:
A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird
froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying
there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him. As the frozen bird
lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually t hawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.
--------------------------------------------------
Moral of the story:
(1) Not everyone who Crap's on you is your enemy
(2) Not everyone who gets you out of the Crap is your friend
(3) And when you're in deep Crap , it's best to keep your mouth shut!

I've been gone for quite some time now. Sorry about everyone at the union, babylon was sweet. I placed 1st in weapons, 1st in forms, 1st in sparring (which almost cost me my arm) and second in falling. In total i placed in 4 of the 6 events which i participated in. It was a very tough tournament with alot of tough competitors but i guess training my butt off really worked.
I am currently very sore and can barely move my left arm and it has been a week since the tournament. Overall i did farely well and can't wait until next year for the next tournament.
its just about the end of winter break and a new semester is about to begin at school. last time we talked i was playing RE4, MK: DS, Madden, and COD2.
RE4 i was skeptical at first but i've since beat it twice and it is one heckuva game. really refreshing gameplay. its got shooting, action, puzzles and when one gameplay mechanic starts to get boring a new one is mixed in to change up the pace. really good experience.
MK: DS is moving along. ive since earned a three-star ranking on all grand prixs and am 124-24 on WFC. i also joined mariokart64.com where you can post time trials and compare yourself with the top karters in the world. i rank about 120th. not too shabby. ive taken a mini break from the game so i have to brush up on those skills.
ive also been mixing in some castlevania DS in and i must say, thats an on or off game for me. sometimes its fun but sometimes its just repetitive and tedious. can see why people love it but its just not my type of game.
im thinking about getting phoenix wright or trauma center for a new/refreshing DS game. ill probably hold off since there are other titles i want to wait and get first.
In Madden06 my Da Bears franchise (all-pro) has just reached its 3rd consective super bowl and am going to be playing the patriots. during this dynasty i have: a 56 game win streak going, cedric benson winning back-to-back league MVPs, brian urlacher winning the MVP once, and 16 pro-bowlers this year, ALSO, broke the single season rushing record, single season rushing TD record, single season sack & int record, single season receiving yds/td records, and much more. it might be time to move up to all-madden. (the real bears didnt fare so well in the playoffs
)
COD2 (PC) is awesome and i just beat the game the other day. the last level is a little lackluster and not worthy of a last level. nevertheless, a great game and the atmosphere it conveys is incredible. you literally feel like your in war with the sounds of bullets whizzing by and the explosions rocking the ground. if only my PC was top-of-the-line and could spit out the highest graphics...
havent got any new games since my last blog, ive just been finishing all the games i already have
. but EA is coming out with Black (very excited), and Arena Football soon.
still shopping for a laptop and ive been looking at the ibook lately. found out that a new one is coming around april so ill wait until then and then decide again.
well, thats a long post and will probably be the last for a while since school's starting up again and i dont have time and am too cool for you dorks.
Heh, anyone been wonderin' where I was? Get ready for it. I was grounded from using the computer at all for a while, and then guess what? The dadgum thing broke like, three days ago and we had to get it fixed. The fun of it all *sigh*. They said I wasn't talking enough, or something like that. But back I am and back I shall be for a while.
Hhm.. bought Sly 3 for my PS2 like, a week and a half ago.. and I got 87 % done. I also read three books (around 300 pgs. in all of them), and improved my grades in school (only one B (Science) and the rest are A's).
My friends and I never did get around to having any sleepovers (one got grounded one week, other got sick the next, etc.) so... I'll be waiting till March to actually see one of my friends (homeschooling bud's birthday is then). Another one of my friends got braces today.. hope it didn't hurt. I forgot how it felt when I got mine on 2 yrs. ago *laughs*. Well, thanks. And sorry that I missed your b-day, Jess. Happy 29th! (right? Is it 29?)
