Uwe Boll is a genius!
At least he proclaims himself to be. Check this out (WARNING -- FOUL LANGUAGE FOLLOWS):

It may be the funniest/stupidest thing I've ever heard a no talent hack say. I don't think he should stop making movies. Regardless of how crappy they may be, he's entitled to do what he wants. But to say that his movies are "way better as all that social critic George Clooney" is ridiculous. Yeah Boll, your movies are better than Michael Clayton. HAHAHA! I love that clown!
Look at me! I'm whining about a review!
Why is it that every few days or so, I come on this website to look up some things and I see a blog complaining about reviews from Gamespot? Why do these people feel the need to cry about how their precious game didn't get a good review? Do they have anything to do other than sit around their computer inhaling food and disagree with stuff? Do they have any real friends (online friends do not count -- sorry folks)? Honestly, it's so pathetic.
I have a news flash for the hundreds of people's blogs I've come across complaining about a review: WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR WORTHLESS OPINION ABOUT SOMEBODY ELSE'S WORTHLESS OPINION. Because that's exactly what reviews are: opinions. I don't think people understand that (or they really are a worthless sack of crap that can't come up with anything better to do than waste their time on such a trivial subject). People complained about Bioshock getting a 9 saying, "It deserved at least a 9.5!" And now I'm even hearing, "What? Super Smash Bros. Brawl deserved a perfect 10! Not that laughable 9.5!" 0.5 points? Seriously?
And even if a game got a 6 or so and you think it deserves an 8 or higher, nobody cares. That may be a substantial difference, but that doesn't mean Gamespot is wrong and you're right. Regardless of whether you think it is great or not, I'll always take Gamespot's review over yours (which is usually heavy laden with spelling errors, incorrect punctuation, and immature fanboy bashing). I disagree with Gamespot all the time, but the difference is I don't whine like I'm 6 every time a game gets lower or higher than I think it deserves. I just think it's hilarious how people complain about Gamespot and call them biased (although they aren't) and then go and say, "The Wii is overrated!" Whatever.
Which brings me to my next point. STOP COMPARING GAMESPOT'S REVIEW SCORES TO OTHER GAMING WEBSITES/MAGAZINES. For instance, let's say Game X got a 7 on Gamespot, but received an 8-9 average from the other game reviewers. Inevitably, some moron will come on here and blog about how Gamespot is stupid, biased, and too hard on games because they weren't in the majority. You know who else wasn't in the majority? Martin Luther King Jr. Think about that.
This is not a personal attack on anybody in particular. Even still, I'm sure a large number of you (and you know who you are) will read this and either A) try to defend their position and lose or B) not say anything because they're smart enough to know they will get humiliated beyond belief.
I'll say this one last time (ha! That's doubtful). To all of you who feel the need to constantly complain about Gamespot's reviews -- go away. Don't read the reviews, don't comment in the forums, and don't write in your blog. Find a different medium to express your beyond annoying opinion. But above all else get some real flesh and blood friends. It might help you justify your up until now meaningless existence.
We are the champions!
George Mason University is going back to the big dance! Tonight, we won the CAA championship to clinch our spot in the NCAA tournament. Some of you may remember our amazing Final Four run two years ago where we beat Michigan State, Wichita State, UNC, and UCONN. If you don't, then I don't know what to tell you. Watch more basketball.
Anyway, all things (including video games) have been unimportant during this basketball season, but now that we've won our conference championship game and we're going back to the NCAA tourney, everything has just become irrelevant. Will we make it back to the Final Four? Realistically, probably not. But in this fan/student's eyes, anything is possible. Get ready for some March Madness and the George Mason Patriots coming to a television near you!
Warning notification
So the other day, I came on this website to check up on some things like I always do and I saw that I had a message. Not to sound like a dork or anything, but I was excited. It's nice to see that someone might have left you some feedback on reviews or whatever (although most messages are union invitations) so I was looking forward to what the message had in store for me. Much to my surprise, it was a warning. So I wondered, for what? It turns out my avatar (you know, that little picture next to my name) was deemed "offensive." Please.
In case some of your minds are hazy, my picture was from Peter Jackson's cult horror flick Dead Alive (aka Braindead). It showed a zombie baby emerging from somebody elses face. Now I understand how that image is rather graphic, but here's what I don't get. Why is that deemed offensive when content that Gamespot puts up on this website themselves is far worse? Seriously, has anybody looked at screenshots or watched videos of some of the more violent games on here? For instance, games like Bioshock and Resident Evil 4 are insanely violent and graphic and Gamespot puts them up no problem. Why is that "ok" but my picture isn't? Where do they draw the line? Apparently, Gamespot gets their rules from the old "I can do what I want, but I don't want anyone else to do it" book.
Please, for the sake of my argument, go look at some screenshots from Resident Evil 4. They have pictures of people's heads getting blown off with a fountain of blood pouring out and the main character getting his flesh ripped to shreds by a chainsaw. Now go look at some videos from other mature games. Chances are you'll find graphic, violent, bloody, and even sometimes scary pictures and videos far worse than what my extremely fake looking and somewhat humorous picture showed. I don't care if it's game related or not, you cannot pick and choose what is suitable and what is not suitable for this website. There needs to be set rules and they need to be followed. Gamespot has set rules, but they sure as hell don't follow them. I can't believe they took away my avatar. They need to sit down and have a thorough look at their rules and how they carry them out. This was a hypocritical move on their part and I hope they come to realize that.
Now I'm not going to stop coming to this site or anything. I still think they do a great job of giving me the news and reviews that I want. However, my avatar is no worse than COUNTLESS other videos and images on this very website. I'm disappointed in them and they should be ashamed for being so hypocritical when it comes to the rules.
Giants win the Super Bowl! Justice is served!
New England Patriots vs. New York Giants final score: 17-14 Giants. Who would have guessed?
Let's get this out of the way first. The Patriots are a phenomenal team. They have one of the best quarterbacks in the league, if not THE best quarterback in the league. And Brady has some excellent support from the likes of Welker and Moss. Plus, the defense is no slouch either. Besides, the saying goes that defense wins games.
But guess what? They cheated. Do other football teams cheat as well? Probably. But the Patriots got caught. The fact of the matter is that they cheated and everyone knows it. Every single record they have set this year is tainted with the foul stench of shame that should be hanging over their head. It SHOULD. You know why it didn't? Because the Patriots refuse to admit that they are less than perfect.
These past two weeks, all the Patriots ever did was joke around. If a question arose about anything (usually about Tom Brady's boot), the Patriots would make some smug smart-ass joke and shrug it off. There's also the fact that Moss during his pre-game speech said that he was the greatest receiver in the league (or something like that). He said it wasn't arrogance, it was just true. Ha! Please. And of course we've already touched on their cheating. And to top it all off, although the Pats will never admit it, they didn't take the Giants seriously. They had an excellent run to 18-0 (because they cheated), so of course they wouldn't think much of the Giants, who nobody expected to beat Dallas, much less Green Bay and New England in the Super Bowl.
Also, let me briefly touch on what the Patriots said after the game. Now, I haven't been glued to the television so I haven't heard it all mind you. But here's the gist of what Brady and Belichick said. They said that they just couldn't pull through and didn't do as well as they hoped. They said they were disappointed. All valid and logical statements. But here's the thing. They NEVER gave the Giants credit. They never came out and said, "We played our best, but we gotta hand it to Eli and the team. They played excellent." You know why they never said that? Because they're arrogant, ignorant, sore losers. The Giants played a great game, at least defensively. The Giants defense was all over Brady, sacking and hitting him much more than he's used to. They also held the Patriots to 7 points in the first half, and only 7 more in the second half. The Giants defense is the reason that they won. The offense didn't pull it together until the last quarter.
The Giants deserved this win. This is the greatest upset in Super Bowl history and one of the greatest runs in NFL history. And the Patriots can't even recognize them with a, "Good job guys. You played your hearts out." When the Giants were interviewed pre-game, they said that they just want to go out there and play their best and hopefully the best will come out of it. The Patriots made jokes and obviously thought nothing of the Giants. Well, I guess they learned their lesson. They cheated, their players (at least the stars of the team) are up their own asses with self pride, and they don't take their competition serously. The Giants didn't cheat, they're not consumed with self-pride, and they know the importance of teamwork. Eli Manning was put down and questioned all through this season and he just sucked it up and put those put downs to rest through his playing.
The Patriots went 18-0 and set lots of records. But it doesn't matter. They came in second. They're not the best team in the league this year. The Giants have beaten the cheating undeservedly unbeaten Patriots. Justice is served.
NOTE: As I was writing this, I saw some more interviews from the Patriots and some of them did give the Giants all the credit like Harrison and (surprisingly) Randy Moss. It doesn't change the fact that they're still arrogant punks, but I respect them just a bit more, excluding Randy Moss. He's still the largest brat in the league.
