Angels and Airwaves have been shunned at my school...but I don't know why.

They've got a totally new sound and it's really good, and there is a lot of potential for the creation of a classic song in the future - not that there aren't any good songs on their first album, "We Don't Need To Whisper"

My favourite, "The War", has the most fantastic opening, and it really stands out from the rest of the album. Other notable records include "The Adventure", "The Gift" and "Do It For Me Now". All of them are good - but those are the best.

There's a lot more to come for DeLonge's new project.

Take That Rock/Pop
""
Take That have matured - their latest album "Beautiful World" is absolutely fantastic and a huge step in the right direction for them.

Alright, so they did have lots of hits and millions of fans before they split up in the middle of the 90s, including "Relight My Fire", "Babe" and the still great "Never Forget" - but their 'pop' style has really changed and matured into a more adult contemporary style.

Their massive single, "Patience", in my opinion is no where near the best on the album - there are far better songs which appeal to a much wider range than they ever appealed to before. The Beatlesque "Shine" is my favourite, with a catchy rhythm and fantastic lyrics. The beautiful "I'd Wait For Life" is solemn yet easy on the ears, and Jason Orange has his first ever lead vocals on the folk-ish "Wooden Boat", which again appeals to a new audience.

Overall, Take That are moving away from their pop days and changing with the times, into the increasingly popular contemporary style.

3 Doors Down Rock/Pop
""
3 Doors Down are a very solid band, if a bit repetitive.

They have some great songs, such as "Away From The Sun", the sombre "Here Without You" and their big hit "Kryptonite". Yet sometimes they bore me...

Sometimes some of the songs on their albums seem like "fillers", just their to fill up the album - yet, to be fair, there are very few bands who avoid fillers (for me that's what makes a really good band).

In my opinion, the best way to listen to 3 Doors Down is get recommendations from sites like this of certain songs and listen to them - if you like them, why not go for the whole album?

Hedley seem to be, from other reviews on here, one of those bands which you either think are fantastic, or horrible. And I can understand why.

The lead singer, despite what many say, does have a good voice, but it might be seen as "horrible", just because of the way he sings. He can hit the notes, but whether his voice is pleasant to listen to...

As for the instruments, well they're good too, and I think there are a fair few ideas for decent tunes in there too, but again they might be seen as plain and nothing new.

I like Hedley, they're not one of my absolute favourites but they do a good job at giving me a new song or two to listen to.

It's all a matter of taste...

The Feeling Rock/Pop
""
The Feeling are a fantastic band with tonnes of ideas and bags of potential.

Every song on their debut album "Twelve Stops and Home" is unique and many blend guitar and piano perfectly.

It opens with "I Want You Now", with an interesting slight dance-y beat at the start, developing into a good song with a catchy rhythm. "Sewn" slows things down a bit, but the awesome opening to "Fill My Little World" is so inspiring - it's my favourite song off the whole album and can be listened to over and over. Other notable songs (although the whole album is brilliant) are "Love It When You Call", great for playing really loud, and the gorgeous "Rose", which is a perfect love song and really shows the strength in depth.

My only worry about this band is whether they will be able to follow up such an awesome album with an even better one.
