This album is done very well from the hard rock of "slither", to the power-ballad, "you got no right". The album has solid basslines throughout the album from GNR bassist Duff Mckaegan.
The album sounds somewhat like GNR and reminds me a little bit of Alice in Chains but sounds "heavier" than Guns N' Roses. It is fast-paced and if you're a headbanger, you might hurt you neck from headbanging(like i did after a few runs through the album =D). Slash's guitar solos are some of the best I've heard since Guns N' Roses. Scott Weiland's voice backs up these powerful riffs and goes along perfectly with the songs. Overall, I recommend this album to all GNR fans and fans of hard rock. I classified it as a throwback to the old days because you can tell they really put a lot of effort,as well as experience into this album and it wasn't about putting a crappy album out to make money, unlike now were everybody and any musician put out albums just for money. This reminds me that music is still alive.
