Long time no see...

Hey everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't commented on your blogs in ages. I think in the last months I've been the least active on this site since I joined about 2 years ago. I even stopped coming on this site at all for a while. I still remember the time, when I used to spend hours on this site every day, reading everyone's blogs, commenting, sending PM's and stuff like that and I really miss this time and you people. Partly I'm so inactive on here, because uni keeps me pretty busy. My next exams will be next month, but apart from that I'm quite happy with my studies. Once I'm on holiday, I'll surely have more time to be on here, too.

So about a week ago, I finally got around to watching the final episodes of Prison Break and I'm still shocked by how it ended. Oh, I forgot to say, if you haven't seen the last episodes and don't want to know how PB ends, please don't read the next paragraphs.

Anyway, I'm pretty disappointed by the writers for killing Michael in the end. I think there was just no need and he would have really deserved a happy ending with Sara. In my opinion, this would have been the far better ending.

I'll probably never understand why they did this. Oh, I read that one of writers said, that for him it is a happy ending, also because they had this moment on the beach. I just don't think that's enough.

I think I wouldn't be so sad, if it was 'just' a movie, in which the main character was killed off in the end, because I've watched this show for 4 years.

It doesn't change the fact that PB is one of my favorite shows of all time though.

I have to admit that except for Michael's death, the last episodes were amazing. I really liked the endings for the other characters and it was great that they brought some of the older characters back.

I already miss PB, hopefully I can rewatch it sometime without thinking about the ending all the time.

Ok, I think I ranted enough for now.

Hope you're well and have a great week!

I'm on holiday! :D

Hey everyone!

How are you? I'm good.

I finished my last exam about 3 weeks ago and I've been on holiday since then. I haven't done a lot so far but it's been great nevertheless. I don't know my results yet, but maybe it's better that way. Just kidding… I'm not sure, I think it didn't went great but not that bad either…I'm not really good at estimating my grades before I actually know them. It mostly turns out differently anyway. Maybe I'll know them by the end of the week.

Oh, by the way, my family and I will take a vacation to Spain in about a week. It's sunny and more than 20 °C there so it should be nice. Unlike here, it just started snowing.

Since I have a lot of free-time at the moment I started watching a few new shows. Here's a little summary and what I think about each show…

Life

Not really a new show, but it only started airing here a few weeks ago. It's a crime show about a cop named Charlie Crews, who has been sentenced to life imprisonment though he was innocent. After 12 years in prison he's released, he joins the police again and tries to find the people who were responsible for his imprisonment.

I don't watch a lot of crime shows, but I still like it a lot. Charlie can be pretty funny and Damian Lewis is really great in his role. Besides the chemistry between Charlie and his partner Dani is fantastic.

Castle

Richard Castle is a successful murder-mystery writer and a bit bored by his success. But then someone commits several murders based on the descriptions in his books. The police consults him to help solving the case together with the police officer Kate Beckett, who is less than thrilled about his involvement. Eventually they find the killer and Castle is so glad about the change and the excitement that he convinces the mayor that he needs to continue working with Beckett as research for his new book.

It's kind of a crime show too, but to make up for that there's Nathan Fillion in it. He's awesome and he plays his character very well. Besides the cases were pretty interesting so far and it's not so serious because of Castle's hilarious comments.

Kings

Kings is about David Shepherd, a typical small town guy who becomes involved with high society and politics and rises to the top against all odds. When several prisoners of war are taken, David defies orders and crosses enemy lines to save them. Unknown to David, the soldier he saves is Jack Benjamin, the son of king Silas and that changes his whole life.

I've only seen the first 2 episodes, but they were very good. Especially the actors were great. I'm not really religious, but I like the biblical references nevertheless.

Dollhouse

Dollhouse is the new series by Joss Whedon. It's about a young woman, Echo, who belongs to a secret underground organization, which is able to imprint people with new personalities. Well, it's a bit more complicated than that, but I'm sure you've already heard of it.

This is probably my favorite new show. I thought the first 5 episodes were really good, they had a lot of potential but they could have been even better. Episode 6 was just amazing! It really felt like something Joss Whedon had done and not something that the network wanted him to do. Can't wait to see the next episode, I hope it will be as great as the last one. I kind of like the idea behind it, which is about finding one's true identity.

Do you watch any of these shows?

Hope you have a great week!

So Much To Do, So Little Time...

How are you?

Just a little blog to let you know that I haven't abandoned this site. I'm just pretty stressed out because of my exams at the moment. I have to take 4 and there's so much you have to know for each exam. It's pretty difficult in my opinion, but I still hope for the best. At least I hope not to fail completely. I think I should continue studying for the next one now, though I'm already suffering from sleep, tv shows, movies and Internet withdrawals.

Hope you're enjoying your week more than me!

A new blog from me? Shocking, I know :P

How are you? I'm fine.

It's been 2 months again since I wrote my last blog. It didn't feel like such a long time to me and i can't believe how fast time flew by. Now it's already Christmas and 2009 is not far away anymore.

Uni's been pretty good so far. It can be a bit stressful though, because there are a lot of things you have to learn by heart in order to understand the things that still follow. But all in all, I still like it. Nevertheless, I'm glad that I'm now on holiday for 2 weeks. Now I finally have some time for all the things I couldn't do anymore lately. I'll be meeting some friends, which I haven't seen in a while, too. Can't wait!

Anyway, I want to wish you all a merry Christmas and hope you have a wonderful time and fun with your family or friends. Besides, I hope you get a lot of presents and everything you wished for.

I'll try to write another blog before 2009, but if I won't, I already wish you a happy New Year now!

Time for a change...

How are you? I'm fine.

Sorry that I haven't commented on your blogs lately. Last Wednesday I moved into my new room in the dorm in Berlin. Although it's rather small, it's still pretty nice. It's kind of cool to finally live on my own in a big city. It's so different from what I used to, but I still like it. The only thing that's bothering me a bit at the moment is my Internet connection. I have WLAN now and one moment I have a connection and at the next moment it's gone and then I have to wait ages before it works again. It's pretty slow as well. Anyway, I'm sure it'll be fine, I just need some time to get used to it.

Starting tomorrow, I'm going to have some kind of introduction lectures all week. There will also be a language test tomorrow. I don't really know what to expext. Let's hope everything will go well.

In my last blog I promised you to post some pics of my holiday. To be more precise, my family and I travelled to the Greek island Rhodes. I had a great time there. The weather was mostly hot and we had a beautiful beach near the hotel. But I saw some cultural sights as well. Now time for some pics.

On to another topic. One of the reasons why it took me longer to write this blog as I planned is the new design of tv.com. To be honest, even after 2 weeks I haven't completely got used to it and I'd love to have the old one back. I don't think that everything's worse than before, I just miss some, at least for me, important features the site had before the change, such as the fact that you could see 10 tracked blogs on the profile page before and now only 4. I also miss the old rating system, the smiley's in the blog comments and the old background. I'm not leaving the site because of these changes but I hope that the staff of tv.com will improve some things soon.

Ok, that's all for now.

Have a great week!
