The demise of G4?

So I just read the article today about the future (or lack thereof) of the G4 network and I've got to say that I'm a bit disappointed. While I do feel like the network has been on a downward spiral since its merger with TechTV, I do still like SOME of the programming that they show on the network on a daily basis. I think that Attack of the Show is a really good program and despite what I have heard many people say, I think that Kevin Perreira is a decent host, I like his sense of humor and I think that he makes it pretty interesting. The chemistry between him and Olivia is pretty good, although it does seem as though they don't really know all that much about gaming. X-Play is alright from time to time but it has gone downhill since the introduction of the anime opening (though it has little to do with the opening itself). The in show plugs on that show are ridiculous. I don't really know why G4 has recently obtained Arrested Development, but I do enjoy that show so I'm glad that it is being played on some network. I used to like the Man Show but G4 has played it out, now I can't stand it. Now to some of the more questionable shows that G4 is playing: Fast Lane, Whip Set, Jamie Kennedy Experiment, etc. These shows (with the exception of Whip Set) failed for a reason, THEY AREN'T GOOD! Why would G4 go and buy these shows? They are trying to appeal to more than just the gaming demographic, and that is what has led to their downfall. It's not that gaming is too small of a demographic as Comcast has said, it's a rather large demographic in fact, it's that G4 has failed to appeal to the gaming demographic by constantly playing crappy shows. All Comcast sees is low ratings and they assume that the reason for that is that the gaming demographic is too small but that simply is not the case. The funniest thing about Jamie Kennedy is when they did an interview with him on Attack of the Show and brought in a guy who had written slanderous remarks about Jamie in the past. What can save G4? More shows that have failed on previous networks that have nothing to do with video games? I doubt it. Better shows about gaming? I'd say that's it. The network shouldn't be eliminated, it's a good idea, it's the implementation that's all wrong.

Joined a Union

Today, I finally joined a union.  Until tonight I was unaware of these unions but I am glad that I discovered them as I was going through and updating my profile, I just wish that I could join more than one.  I decided to join the Marvel Union based solely on the fact that I love comic books.  I hope that I can have some decent discussions with other members of the union, I don't know too many people around here that like comics and the ones that I do know, don't really have the same taste as comics as I do.  Anyways, I'm going to continue to post on the Marvel Union forum.
