Well, I feel like it's been to long since I've blogged, despite the fact that my blogs are rarely fun or interesting to read. ![]()
Gaming lately....has been somewhat on the slow side since the masterpiece that is Demon's Souls. I've been mostly playing around with some older RPG's on the Playstation 2 that I've still got to complete, those being Persona 4 and Final Fantasy XII, and I most recently completed Modern Warfare 2.
Persona 4 still stands as one of the most arresting RPG's on the PS2 in my opinion. Creates such an intriguing world full of life, despite what a small scale it is. The story is awesome, as are the characters, art style, music, and battle mechanics. ![]()
Final Fantasy XII. Well, many die-hard FF fans were let down by this game despite the fact that it remains the only Final Fantasy game to score a perfect 40/40 from Famitsu. I personally think it's an incredibly captivating experience, whether it lacks the traditional feeling of the Final Fantasy universe or not. I adore the characters (specifically Fran and Balthier), and it just gives me an Ocarina of Time sort of vibe when I travel to new cities and venture into the dungeons/fields.
And last but not least....Modern Warfare 2...
The story was, at times, very interesting and at others one of the most non-sensical hole filled plots I've had the displeasure of sitting through.
The gameplay is still solid (possibly the best in its genre even) but the game itself is so short it really carries no impact. It's like getting flashed in the eyes by a camera. Really brilliant for a few seconds, and then gone. Spec ops mode was pretty boring to me, and I lack the ability to play online, so naturally this is not a game I would even consider adding to my collection.
Share your opinions on the games mentioned if you want. ![]()
As far as other things go, I have 3 150+ question finals approaching, all on the same day (Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology) so naturally I'm a bit stressed out about that.
That day will be hell for me.
Any finals coming up for you guys? What subjects? Are you concerned or confident?
Just a little curious, that's all. ![]()
Hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying the holiday season so far. ![]()
Oh Hai,
I've been a busy boy of late. Whats that? I should compartmentalize these events into a list? Sure!
Raised over Ł600 for children in Need.
The great Citizen Game community banded together to play games throughout the night of Children in Need, raising over Ł600 for somthing they probably would have been doing anyway. Horah!
Wrote a Modern Warfare 2 Review
9.0, still loving the multiplayer.
Started a Forum on CitizenGame
Eventually I got around to it. Already saves some cash from the deals in our "Bargain Hunter" section, so it was worth the dev time already.
Recorded a few Podcasts
We have the formula down to a tea now. 45 minutes every week. The first every week too, available from 9:30 Monday Morning.
Bought a new TV!
My projecter exploded the day after the gameathon. Perfect excuse to buy a 42 inch 1080p HDTV.
Other Games I've been playing:
DJ Hero - fun, but got it for free.
AssCreed2 - fun, but stupid story
Left4Dead2 - Far better than the first. Refined.
CrossFingers, Beneath a Steel Sky, Minigore, Doodlejump (all on iPhone)
Everything else is cool. Work is going great, going home for 2 weeks at Christmas and recording some fantastic CitizenGame content in the run up to Christmas. I might post somthing here in the lead up to Jesus day, but for now, thats what Dannys doing.

Hey everyone, long time no see. I'm so sorry for not being on here ever since last year. Actually I have been on this site and have been posting, but I haven't create a new blog entry yet. But circumstances and events have forced me to create a new one!
Its great to be here again.
As most of you may know, Pokémon Platinum was released this Sunday. For the record, it is absolutely AMAZING! It is so much better than Diamond and Pearl, and contains a lot more cooler elements. Not only that, but when I bought it I got the Giratina Origin Forme Figurine as a bonus! It is so cool! Plus, the Pokémon Platinum guide is gigantic; its over 500 pages! I recommend the game to anyone who loves video games in general. Right now I'm in Eterna City, and have a Monferno, Staravia, Luxio, and Budew! ![]()
In other news, last night one of my favorite shows ended. You obviously now nothing about it since it is in a foreign language, but it was called Kasamh Se. It translates into Promise. Originally, the show was about the bond and love between three sisters. It was the first foreign show I periodically watched, and I have been watching it for the past three years.
Its so sad, really! I'm gonna miss at lot!!!!

what can i say...GB Rocks(compared to GS)
as much respect i have for Gamespot, its just not fun anymore, nor do i ever remember when it was fun.
Im still keeping my Gamespot profile.
GB Offers: the freedom to swear, a really civil bunch of mods, better PM system, better friend system, sexy picture thread
.
GS Offers: no freedom, get modded for every little slip up, mods are too power hungry. although i like the forums.
i am also glad there are no sigs or banners in GB yet, makes for quicker loading and tis simpler
well, my GB username is RandomHero666
