Lost a big Gedenkan Experiment. My thoughts on 'The Economist'. *some spoilers*

sayid flying (What a weird feeling seeing the first surivivor going off the island.)

Some spoilers of the episode if you havent seen it but other then that just theories.

Well I'm back with another blog about Lost and 'The Economist' hope this one is intresting and doesnt lose you in any way.

I bet your wandering what on earth Gedenkan means well in German it stands for Thought Experiments. As i was doing my research on the net of theories etc it came up with this:-

"If you could travel back in time, could you kill your grandfather? Logic tells you that no, you could not, for if you did, you would not exist. (Pause here and consider why Locke insists that "he can't" kill his father, he needs somebody else to do it.) The beautiful thing about Gedanken Experiments is that they are both scientific and philosophical, perfect fodder for a creative writer. In the case of the Grandfather Paradox, while they logic is clear, the actual experience of it is a mystery. Imagine actually standing there in the past, holding a loaded gun to the head of your grandfather... what would actually prevent you? "Something" would, some unknown mechanism of physics... and that is where the writers of "Lost" imagine for us. "

This really got me thinking as i agree with this person like hes stating about time where we get an insight of it in 'The Economist' where Dan does his experiment and the payload arrives 31 minutes after Daniel expects it to. I loved this part of the episode the most, as it answers the question about the 'Time' on the Island.

Many have been stating about an electromagnetic field covering the Island making it invisable to the eye this makes sense to me. This could cause the speed of light to be different as well as the time. When Dan first arrives to the Island he says something like 'The light is scattered everywhere' this could be how the light is rebounding off the electromagnetic field surrounding the Island causing the scatter effect.

Ok now about my thought on the episode 'The Economist'.

The oceanic 6

Hmm well i think all the flash forwards (which are great) are those of the 6 survivors that make it off the Island some people in the forums are speculating what if its not. Well it is in my opinion. However Can Kate really be one of them? What if Sawyer says is true: she's got nothing to go back to but a pair of handcuffs. We know Kate gets off the island, but does she come back to a parade/cash settlement/golden ticket like Hurley, Jack, and Sayid? I think this is why she's so angry with Jack in last season's finale. Kate and Sawyer were going to play house, but then maybe something happens to separate them. But who knows.

Something's up with dead Nadia

Sayid kept on giving those weird looks especially near the end when he sees her face again. Maybe he had a relationship with his sister? Also Frank thinks she's just a piece of meat – Sayid thinks she's important enough to take on the chopper. Dunno but i really want to know.

The bracelet

Looked like the same on Elsa and Naomi. I don't think the bracelet is a token of love the "I'll always be with you" is probs a reminder from their boss that no matter where you are he can find you. And judging from the very important fact that he called Elsa a half hour later than she expected him to… he's probably calling from someplace green, leafy, and wet.

I'm making you think alot now aren't I lol probs more than before. Well thanks for viewing my blog and reading my thoughts on the latest episode and show. Hope it was intresting and gave you some answers then more questions

My theories on Lost 'Beginning to end'.

hurley

Well my god did alot happen. I thought it was a really gripping opening episode with quite alot of spooky scenes.

First off i thought the way they went into the future gave more questions then the past due to the fact Hurley obviously knows something that Jack and that weird Matthew guy were asking him about. However the Matthew guy who you see in the mental ward talking to Hurley seems insanely odd especially when he said "Are they still alive?" which made me think that Ben could be right on the fact that everyone is going to die when jack called the rescue people. But there were survivors and Hurley was one of them. Thats my thought on that situation.

Also amazingly i found this bit out when the guy was leaving the ward while Hurley was yelling aloud, it was actually the black smoke! which means the island can leave whenever it wants to Watch that clip again if you downloaded the episode because you dont see a figure you just see a dark shadow left to right.

If you don't believe me, watch as he leaves through the door. You never see him exit, you only see a shadow.

Secondly, who was in Jacob's cabin with the eye popping out of the glass?? Another question added to the stack. This time Hurley stumbles across it, although of course he doesn't stumble across it at all. "Jacob is not a man you go to see – you are summoned by him". For some reason this episode, Jacob wants an audience with Hurley. hmm intresting.

I dont want to wabble on soo much so why dont you tell me your theories, obviosuly you can comment on the above.

Thanks for reading
