Baby You Can Drive My Car, But Don't Scratch It!

Hi! My name is... my name is... my name is... (wicky wicky) Denis! Yeah, that was lame, sorry.

Games! I play those! Been playing a lot of those on my week's vacation, which is taking place right now. Forza 3. Pretty good game. In fact, it's pretty awesome. Don't believe me? Well, the proof is in the pudding, as we say, and in this case, the pudding is this fantastic review I concocted. Check it out and let me know what you think. I created and auctioned out an EndSights car, which sold for 1,000 credits. I only got one bid for it, which is one more than I thought I would get. Eh, at least it got me that achievement. I ain't no Picasso, you know.

I've also been playing my fair share of DJ Hero. I enjoy the game, but after going through the song list twice (once on Medium, then on Hard), I'm kinda burnt out on it. The peripheral is easy to use, but the cross-fader can get pretty tricky, since it doesn't seem to "click" in the middle and just slides to one side or the other. It can get pretty frustrating when you're doing cross-fader spikes. The mixes are, for the most part, pretty damn good, but there are some exceptions, such as the mix between Third Eye Blind's Semi-Charmed Life and The Jackson 5's I Want You Back. Now, don't get me wrong, I love The Jackson 5, but I couldn't care less about Third Eye Blind, and that mix is just horrible. Also, David Bowie should not be in a game like this, period. Let's hope there's some DLC coming soon, because I'd hate to think I've wasted $130 on this game.

Another game, or expansion to a game, I've been playing is GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony. I'm finding this DLC much better than its predecessor, The Lost and Damned. The characters are more interesting and the overall feel reminds me of GTA: San Andreas a whole lot. I'm about half way through the game, and quite enjoying it, except for this helicopter mission I have to do. I hate flying helicopters in this game, especially when it counts and I'm not just fooling around with them. Still, if you like GTA IV, check out Gay Tony.

On a final note, there's this game coming out next week. Heard it's quite popular. Modern something. It's the 2nd one in the series. I'll have to check it out and try to play a couple of games with you guys online, if you're getting it, of course.

Avanti!

Ya, Forza 3 rocks my world! Hope you can make the game night next week I have heard rumors about that Modern something or nother game too... let me go look around to see if I can find out anything about it.

It's the sixth one in the series... it's still Call of Duty, I don't care if they stick it with the Modern Warfare moniker.

The Ballad of Gay Tony actually looks really cool when compared to The Lost and The Damned. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a GTA guy, but the game looks pretty fun.

I'm gonna have to wait for DJ Hero to drop drastically in price before I pick it up. I'm starting to get over rhythm games and am sick of the clutter in my house. Still, I'd like to hear the mixes and wouldn't mind getting it for dirt cheap.

Yeah... I played the demo of Forza 3. It's alright. Kind of like the second game. But the thing that got me in Forza 2 was the long-ass career mode. It's tedious playing the same tracks over and over and over again. I know everyone's going to disagree with me, and I'll admit it was fun at first, but after a while I just got bored.

Well if you do get it, I'll see you on live.

You know I am getting the ol DJ Hero this Christmas and looking forward to trying it out. I will probably be playing nothing but Dragon Age: Origins for the next several days since I got it this morning and really like it thus far (played an hour and from what I've played thus far, just feels like KOTOR but in a fantasy setting).

Forza 3 is awesome, really enjoying it a lot and didn't expect to, which make me like it more. Have had a few surprises this year like The Bigs and Tiger Woods.

Oh and I think I am getting that game you mentioned. Seriously who isn't?

Will be a while before I play Forza 3 cause I 'm in the middle of the career mode in Forza 2. I think Forza 2 is already a great game, what am I going to think of number 3 then?

My god I know the exact helicopter mission you're talking about, one where you have to take out a cruise ship etc. That was especially annoying considering the controls but I'm loving this expansion as well.

I totally expected that about DJ hero. But well, people who likes that kind of music are enjoying it. And... David Bowe? As always, your review is pretty good, but I could certainly not care about a racing game. Never liked them, never will... And of course, I will get Modern Warfare 2. It's been a long time since I stinked in a Multiplayer game

I got to try out the DJ Hero at the local Gamestop here... and it was fun... but I couldn't play it very long as it hurt my wrist to play it. It does look like a fun game for those who like it!

Agree to disagree on those DJ Hero mixes Denis. But if you're smart, you'll just agree with me and we can move on. ;-)

About Me

Greetings and welcome to my profile. My name is Denis, I am 36 years of age, I work in IT tech support and have been coming here on GameSpot for over 5 years now. I mostly come here to get my daily dose of game information. I enjoy reading my friends' blogs. I've also been known to post one or two of my own. I've been a gamer since... oh well before most of you were born actually. My first system was an Intellivision, way back in 1978. I then moved onto the NES. PC gaming then took over for a very long time, until the PlayStation 2 made it's way into my household in 2002. I also own an XBox, an XBox 360 and a PSP. My favorite game genre is First Person Shooters. Quake, Doom, Half-Life & Unreal Tournament being my favorite franchises. I'm also really partial to the Star Wars series of games (especially the Jedi Knight series) and I don't mind an occasionnal RPG once in a while... but not too often. But, don't get me wrong, I also like other forms of entertainment. As far as music is concerned, I like pretty much anything, as long as it has a good beat, but I have a strong preference for rock. Movie-wise, as you could of guessed, I love science-fiction movies, Star Wars being a classic of modern cinema and by far my favorite movie of all time. I don't watch TV that much, aside from the occasional hockey game (go Habs!) and WWE wrestling. So, welcome to my profile. I hope you enjoy your stay.
