Only a matter of days now...

Until two awesome shows start up. Prison Break launches it's rockets for the 4th time on SEPT 1. Fox says it's a 2hr event, but it's only one episode with a recap episode before it. Right? Right? Or, is it really 2x42minutes of brand new footage? Now that would be awesome and deserving after the long wait. The 3rd season was good, but without the strike it could've much much better. I'm not so much bothered with Lost because at least Lost got a proper finale. But PB did not. Anyway I saw a trailer and the premiere seems to be really fast paced and movie-like. Lots of new(and cool, seemingly) characters. But, as usual, the trailer might be misleading.

(and of course, hopefully, we'll see this guy alot as oppoased to season 3)

The other show - The Shield - launches it's final season right after PB - on SEPT 2. Now that is something I probably want to see even more than PB. I'm just dying to see what Vic Mackey and co is up to and what the big endgame will be of the show.

On another note I noticed that theWB.com started up and they offer free online viewing for their most successful shows including Veronica Mars which is excellent news.(Unfortunately, only for people in the United States) This is the right time for the show to get some new fans as Rob Thomas and co are definitely considering a movie. Must. Happen.

100th blog... a big thank you.

Okay , people say, blogs are not for the audience but for personal rants. To get things out of your system. That's only half right. If people are not interested, blogs can get really dull. I'm glad to say that I have a few regular readers who are really cool and so it makes blogging worthy. I have registered a bit more than a yaer ago(though I've been lurking around for quite some time).

Anyway I really enjoy being here, this is a great site despite what alot of people say. I know that there are lots of show specific web sites and fan forums around which are more popular than tv.com but this is the only place which has such a diverse and strong community and has basically a community page for each and every show with the option to share opions through reviews and forums.... and blogs.

Lets to a little recap...

Blog count since I registered: 100
Most commented blog: Ok, I was surprised. Lost 4x06 - The Other Woman review blog. 25 comments

Least commented: To my surprise, only one blog had zero comments! This was Lost - the videogame video blog.

Total amount of comments: 525 on 99 blogs
Average comments per blogs: 5

Current amount of friends: 53. Surely there are quite a few GameSpot friends but mostly of course tv.com I spend 90% of my CNET time on Tv.com and maybe 10% on GS. Profile views: 16200(though this hasnt changed for weeks. I think its bugged..)
Current Level: 18
Amount of submissions accepted: 7
Denied: 0
Forum posts: 780
TV Show reviews: 3
TV episode reviews: 342
People reviews: 12
Favourite show count: 36

So, yes. I thank you all for showing interest in what I have to say

And now time for the list of the friends who have been here since the beginning(day 1 basically!). I thank you the most.

So I was bored and looked at my own reviews...

I have over 300 reviews but yes I did go through all of them just now. LOL. I was REALLY bored. I just wanted to see how people agreed/disagreed with them.

I'm glad that people actually read my reviews Okay... so

here's the one with the most positive reaction:

http://www.tv.com/lost/the-constant/episode/1154866/reviews.html?review_id=488301&flag= - LOST: The Constant, rating: 9.7, my rating: 10.0(10 agree, 0 disagree)

Here's one with the most negative reaction I have to say I REALLY laughed out loud when I saw this. Usually, there is at least one or two dissatisfied fans lurking around(or even, a hater) that would choose to agree. Not this time. And the score wasn't even that low. Maybe I was a "bit" harsh?

http://www.tv.com/house/frozen/episode/1165378/reviews.html?review_id=480478&flag= - HOUSE: Frozen, rating: 9.6, my rating: 6.1(0 agree, 11 disagree)

Here's one with very balanced amount of agrees/disagrees which SURPRISED me. Because I was incredibly pissed off at the show at that time and wrote lots of harsh things. Note that at that time it was basically for a hundred percent that that episode is in fact the finale. I'm glad it wasn't. http://www.tv.com/house/dont-ever-change/episode/1174410/reviews.html?review_id=481129&flag= - HOUSE: Don't Ever Change, rating: 9.2, my rating: 4.0(10 agree, 9 disagree)

Okay, this one is sort of special to me. Iwas the first one to write a review for the show and I wasn't too generous. I was surprised that more people agreed than disagreed, 1.0 is usually something even people who disliked the episode would hit disagree to or just ignore.

http://www.tv.com/bionic-woman/pilot/episode/1057410/reviews.html?review_id=439091&flag= - BIONIC WOMAN: Pilot, rating: 8.2, my rating: 1.0(8 agree, 7 disagree)

And finally... hmm... I laughed really hard at this too. Cuz I re-read the review and I find it hilarious it's like, a mad fanboy running out of breath while ranting I gave it 3/10 but that was while I was really really angry. If I had to re-rate it, I'd give it around 6.. Yeah, as you can see, I was pissed off. I really wanted to like that finale

http://www.tv.com/heroes/powerless/episode/1149777/reviews.html?review_id=462905&flag= - HEROES: Powerless, rating: 8.8, my rating: 4.0(10 agree, 6 disagree)

Okay that's all. Better find something to do now

My favourite character.

So who could it be?

Could it be him?

Or him?

Could it be China's worst enemy?

Or could it be her?

Or was I just playing along all the time and actually consider Peter Petrelli my favourite?

Or was I lying when I said that Mahone is not in my top10?

Before revealing the truth...

This was a top 10. Hard to do, because I have many "favourite" characters. Ranking them was painful. I first wanted a top 15, but I really couldn't get myself to decide between certain characters.

So, 5 characters that are somewhere in the top10-15 region, unranked.

Jack Shepard - Yup, lots of people hate him, but I think his character is extremely well done. It's really fun to see his heroic mask fade away from minute to minute. His character cemented his place in my top 15 when he said Locke didn't move the island - right after he saw it go away.

Alexander Mahone - Really, my favourite of Prison Break. I like him more than my previous favourite, Mr. Abruzzi. Only thing is, in the 3rd season of the show he was really neglected, therefore, not really developed further - I can't wait for a purely Mahone centric episode in season 4.

John Locke - A fantastic character, amazing backstory, amazing blend of "good" and "evil" - he does what he thinks needs to be done. He's obsessed, which gives his character edge. Only problem is: this edge is sort of overshadowed by Ben's brilliance. Unfortunately, Locke doesn't live up to his potential because Ben simply steals it.

Jack Bauer - First 4 seasons of 24 - Best action hero. 5th and 6th season - Not so much. My problem is that the writers literally turned him into an american flag with 2 legs. I'm glad that at the very end of season 6 he realized this, so maybe in the 7th season he can find himself again.

Dr. Gregory House - Always entertaining, often shocking. House is a brilliant character, except: he's not very real. I find his character way too fictional and therefore, he didn't make it into my top10. Which is a shame. Also, more backstory, please! Backstories are the most important for character development. Also, I have to note that when making this list I was purely going for the characters. The acting performances were not really important. But honestly, to make a character good, you need a good actor too, so apart from maybe 1-2 characters switching places, the list would be the same.

So.

10. The Carver(Nip/Tuck - 9.5/10) -- Portrayed by : -
9. Dean Winchester(Superntural - 9/10) -- Portrayed by: Jensen Ackles
8. Dexter Morgan(Dexter - 9/10) -- Portrayed by: Michael C. Hall
7. Desmond David Hume(Lost - 10/10) -- Portrayed by: Henry Ian Cusick
6. Nate Fisher(Six Feet Under - 10/10) -- Portrayed by: Peter Krause 5. Sydney Bristow(Alias - 10/10) -- Portrayed by: Jennifer Garner
4. Vic Mackey(The Shield - 9.5/10) -- Portrayed by: Michael Chiklis
3. Arvin Sloane(Alias - 10/10) -- Portrayed by: Ron Rifkin
2. Benjamin Linus(Lost - 10/10)
-- Portrayed by: Michael Emerson
1. Veronica Mars(Veronica Mars - 10/10) -- Portrayed by: Kristen Bell

Season 1 Looks:

Season 2 Looks:

Season 3 Looks:

If anyone on this list was certain from the first moment, well, that was Veronica Mars. I always knew she would be first, and Ben "only" second.

Veronica Mars - for me, easily the best defined, developed and exciting character. But before getting onto the "Why", I have to make a funny observation. My top15 has only 2 females on it. No, I'm not a sexist . I Just have to say that, it's a shame. Female leads are way too cliché for the most, there are very few that are really good. But when the writers try, they can do amazing things. I find female characters more fun(once again, that is, if they are not limited to a romance plot). I also find the more complex. Hopefully JJ's Fringe with Anna Torv can join this "league". Veronica Mars, Rob Thomas' creation and portrayed by the gorgeous Kristen Bell. At first she seems like the girl and teen version of House, but as the episodes, seasons progress it's clear that she's much more than just a good looking, well educated, sassy and sarcastic girl.

Each season concencrates on on side of her, and while the show was cancelled after the 3rd season ended(Rob Thomas planned at least 6 seasons), she still is one of the best developed characters. Her "evolution" is EPIC! In many ways, she feels like the more realistic and teen version of Sydney Bristow.

She's also extremely easy to relate to. And while the show is not very realistic(doesn't try to be) the character interactions, decisions(especially hers) are. Which helps alot...just like the noir setting. Kristen Bell's acting is easily the best I've seen, honestly. There are scenes that I can't believe are actually scripted. Season 2 finale of Veronica Mars has this one scene which I consider the best acted scene of TV. Kristen's performance in VM is easily on par with Emerson's on Lost. As a sidenote, I'd like to say that it's such a shame that Kristen didn't accept Charlotte's role on Lost. Surely, we don't know anything about Charlotte right now, but that's probably because of the strike(and she seems to have a major storyline next season). Kristen would've been IMO a better choice than Rebecca Mader. Anyway, that concludes my countdown. Thanks everyone who commented!

EDIT:

Fantastic news. A Veronica Mars movie is definitely a possibility. http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2008/08/exclusive-veron.html God, make this happen. Please.
