While its been true that I've been very little on the internet lately and more work focussed, I feel it a blessing that the festve season arrives (paid leave, xmas bonusses, new years parties and the lot).

On GS however I have noticed a few things. Only a few of the small unions on GS are still alive, mainly the graphics unions and some smaller unions such as the chillin zone for guys and gals. Now this union not only survived three leaders , but has also created external sites- which compensates for GS union limitations. Not only does this serve as more advertising for GS but the social network site that was created is actually very funky The Chillin zone social network.

To be honest I think the GS union thing was mainly intented to further promote Gamespot as GS doesnt seem to look after its unions well. Its not easy keeping people entertained for years with the same looks, system and type of content. Change can be a good thing.

On a personal note however, I think union Leaders such as Gamesanimegirl can be highly commended for their dedication to the unions and external sites. Perhaps leaders such as her could be rewarded with a free premium GS membership or something?

My aplogies for not being on gamespot for so long, no I was not banned and eskom finally got a tempory power solution. I have been on a brilliant vacation in Durban and amanzitoti (all places in South Africa). However after returning home, I seemed to have continued with life, work, Burnout , etc.. was it not for nikki I would have completely forgotten about gamespot, so thanks allot nicky. And my sincere apologies yet again.

As for upadates, I really recoment playing burnout, even if its merely a demo, its really quite some fun. And for those whose in SA, happy(belated) Easter, and enjoy the holidays .

It seems South Africa seems to be going under some serious changes, from BEE (black economic empowerment), to a Jocob Zuma being a candidate for president(he has numerous cases against him, including rape, fraud, arms deals, etc..)

But the change that irritates us (south africans the most,) is that all of a suddent Eskom (the electricity providers for SA), has more than enough power to sell to other countries , but way too little power for its two biggest cities. since this week we have been expereiencing rather annoying power cuts, which has caused businesses to lose billions, modems to blow , etc...

Now its not like we dont have enough power stations, infact we got more than enough, including Nuclear power, wind power, solar power which is available on da market, and also the traditional coal powerplants.

The powercuts has also costed me my job as I cant work until the 15th

The thing is, SA is changing unfavourably and if we want to host the 2010 world cup, then a start would be to keep our electricity and not selll it.

In case your wondering what on earth could inspire me to write such a odd blog title compared to its contents, its simply because I hardly make blogs. You may also call this blog, the 'longest blog of blogs'

Back to the point, The Chillin' Zone For Guys And Gals has been running pretty smoothly uner the leadership of Samsengir and has grown quite a bit. Also there will also be a competition , however this competition is unlike other 'boring' competitions. Why do I say this? because any other union may also use this competition to benefit them and increase their activity levels a bit. the final entrys however must be posted in the inter-union competition entriesthread. Some has asked me the question why I have 'changed' all of a sudden a few months ago. Well no-one has changed, exept that its a completely new person under the name of 'phantom racer'. The original 'phantom racer' happens to be my cousin. However he quit GS, so I took over, Started the Chillin zone, and correcting all the calamities on GS caused by my cousin.

On the gaming side, I have tried out unreal tournament three, which is a great game. The graphics are great and its tons of actions. They have replaced the assualt mode with unreal warfare(some like it others dont)

Need for speed pro-street is another nice-looking game to start with, but once all the glitter and glamour of the exellent graphics fades away , it tends to get tiring.

The Chillin zone for Guys and Gals was formed on the 26 May 2007, and has done pretty well so far. I would like to thanks once more all the Charter members who helped form this union. And a special thanks goes to samsengir  for his efforts put into the union.
