Viacom is just evil. I mean totally evil!
Well, I just read some distrubing news(via Felicia Day's twitter feed).
Yes, Viacom can now sue you for viewing copyrighted material via youtube. It's ****** rediculous! This is way low. I know it's "their" material, but are they daft? Don't they know that these fan-vids and clips are free ******* advertising. Honestly, are they that cheap? Wow! That's all I can say. Stupid fracking suits. It's sad that this judge sided with a big company to completely frack over the millions and millions of people who use youtube for their enjoyment. I find it funny that Google is safe from getting sued by Viacom. So, now I have to make sure that none of the videos I watch have any Viacom material in it? This is not for the artists, it is for the melon-farming executives who screw over said artists just to line their own pockets.
What's next? I can't make up a digital backup of a DVD I buy? Oh, in Canada, that might just happen!
Frackity-frack.
Dr. Horrible
Hey guys, I got some news for you, the Dr. Horrible Teaser Trailer is online. Remember Dr. Horrible is co-writter by that Joss Whedon dude, staring Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day and Neil Patrick Harris with Cameos by Marti Noxon and David Fury. Oh my!
Watch it now and tell all of your friends. Heck, tell you're enemies. Or your frienemies!
Wizard World Philadelphia
Alo!
Well, yesterday I went to Wizard World Philadelphia on a whim. The reason why is that Katee Sackoff was the VIP guest on Sunday. I knew she was going to be there a few weeks ago, but I thought I couldn't afford it so I passed. However, I had a couple of more assignments than expected in the last few weeks, so I figured I had enough cash to attend. So I ordered the tickets on Friday night/Saturday morning.
I arrived a little after noon, and I meandered around the convention floor for about two hours, looking at comics and some swag. I managed to buy "Batman: The Dark Night Returns", "Civil War" issues 1-7, a Serenity t-shirt with a picture of the cast on the back with a few free goodies.
Around 2, I decided to walk to the line where Katee's signing was. I think the line covered a quarter of the convention room's outer wall. I spent the next hour waiting in line, talking to people around me and such. The way they organized the line was pretty good, they ususally sent 20 people at time where Katee was staged. I managed to get two things signed and talked to her for a few minutes. There is a story that will be told at a later date. I will explain then.

The photo above is Katee signing one of my autographs with the security guard throwing me into the picture, telling me and her to smile for the picture. There was another of me and Katee talking but somehow the site isn't letting me load it.
After getting my autographs, I spent the next 15-20 minutes meandering around the hall, looking for something that caught my eye, but nothing did, so I went home.
Here are more photos of my experience.
Peace
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Just came back from a screening of Indiana Jones and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and well it was awesome. It was a fun little movie that almost anyone can enjoy, unless you hate fedoras and bad wigs.
Like what are you waiting for? Why are you still reading this blog, go see it now. I'm not asking, I'm telling. ![]()
That is all.
ETA: Now since I have had time to think about the movie, I still think it is a fun, entertaining movie, which I recommend to anyone who likes good adventure. I thinksit's not as good as Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, but a little better than The Temple of Doom.
Sleepless in Seattle
I have a new blog up at The Random Ramblings of a crazygolfa.
It's about the probable move of the Seattle Supersonics and how shameful of the actions of the majority involved.
If you are a sports fan, it's a must read, and if not, it is a must read as well because it involves the theft of something that causes civic pride, which some sports teams are.
